A Tiny European Country!
Location: Luxembourg city in the country of Luxembourg.
Getting there: fly to Luxembourg from many big European cities. Alternatively you can get the train from Amsterdam, Brussels or Paris. They are all within three hours. Not far.
Luxembourg needs only a weekend to explore. 2 nights. But it's a wonderful city. There are lots of green areas mixed in with traditional spires and classic buildings. There are hills to walk up and admire views, bridges to ponder over and nice food too.
An excellent city break choice.

Just love Luxembourg - happy memories!! 🇱🇺
To start my story, I've never thought that the RICHEST country gave me a lot of experience.
From Belgium, me took only 3 hours journey. It is very closed to Belgium until I can't resist to not visit this gorgeous lil country.
What i'd like most about Luxembourg is their beautiful castle, their historical building, their fortress! damn! I love all of it!! I love exploring the city by foot. 👍
Honestly, my single room at Vauban Hotel indeed comfortable. The check in process was fast and they did gave me to check out late.
Do check out my picture and start to pack your bag guys. 😄

Luxembourg is kind if the so-called city-states. It is the smallest country in the European Union sandwiched between France, Belgium and Germany. The capital of #luxembourg is Luxembourg city. It doesn't looks like the busy capital town, but more looks like a quite small town in the province which is very nice. The city could be easily explored for just a day.

The Church of Our Lady of Luxembourg was built between 1613 and 2121. It is a famous late Gothic renaissance style and one of the symbols of Luxembourg. The three towering spires were added when they were later expanded. They are extremely conspicuous. The church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The structure of the northern part of the church is a combination of the Renaissance art style and the Baroque style. The interior of the church is splendid, the inner altar is decorated with a precious alabaster statue, and the wall pillar is engraved with an Allah image.

Fully known as the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Luxembourg is surrounded by neighboring countries France, Germany and Belgium. It is a small inland country and the only remaining Grand Duchy of the European continent, the capital city of Luxembourg. Because of the small size of the country, the number of castles, and the name of "the pocket kingdom" and "the country of the thousand fort". It is natural for France and Germany not to say that it is a big country in Europe. Belgium, which is the headquarters of the EU, is also very important. However, it seems that Luxembourg has always had no sense of existence among these big countries.
When I came to this land in person, I realized that Luxembourg was a highly developed capitalist country and one of the founding members of the European Union and NATO. It has several sub-institutions of the European Union, such as the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Auditors. And the European Investment Bank, known as the "third capital" of the European Union after Brussels and Strasbourg. At the same time, Luxembourg is also a highly developed industrial country, the most important private banking centre in the Eurozone, and the second largest investment trust centre in the world after the United States. Finance, radio and television, and steel are the three pillar industries of the economy. Luxembourg has a very low unemployment rate and its life expectancy is 80 years.
It is worth mentioning that although Luxembourg's natural resources are scarce, the market is small, and the economy is highly dependent on foreign countries, the per capita GDP has ranked first in the world for many years. It turned out that Luxembourg is the real local country, but it is too low-key to appear to have no sense of existence.
SHUN.
Ah, across thousands of miles, I finally came to the long-lost Luxembourg. The whole country is like a big forest. There are many castles in the suburbs. We went to the most famous Fianden Castle and saw the castle for the first time. A little excited! I remember the teacher in the history class said that the country is small, but the per capita GDP is very high, and it is the richest in Europe. So I remembered it. After I came, I found that the mountains are good and the water is high... I have a high salary and high prices. I am waiting for tourists... I want to make a small public offering in the old castle.
Jojos trip.
Hidden Gem of Luxembourg!
Luxembourg, one of Europe’s smallest countries, is home to hidden gems that often go unnoticed by travelers. One of the most enchanting is Ettelbruck, a charming town nestled in the Luxembourg Ardennes. Surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills, Ettelbruck offers a peaceful retreat with beautiful natural landscapes and a rich history. The town’s proximity to the Mullerthal Trail, known as Luxembourg’s “Little Switzerland,” makes it a perfect base for hiking and exploring the scenic region.
Another hidden treasure is the Vianden Castle, perched on a hilltop overlooking the quaint town of Vianden. This medieval fortress, beautifully restored, is a striking example of Luxembourg’s architectural heritage. It’s less crowded than many major European castles, providing a more intimate experience with spectacular views.
For those interested in history, the Bourscheid Castle, located in the northern part of the country, offers a glimpse into the past, set amid dense woodlands and overlooking the Our River. Luxembourg’s small, picturesque villages, such as Beaufort and Larochette, also provide a taste of local life and centuries-old traditions, with scenic trails, castles, and charming cafés.
Luxembourg’s hidden gems offer visitors a perfect mix of history, nature, and tranquility, making it a destination well worth exploring beyond the main tourist spots.

My trip to Luxembourg was a captivating blend of medieval charm, natural beauty, and modern European culture. Despite being one of the smallest countries in Europe, Luxembourg is packed with unique experiences and impressive sights, and I was able to explore its rich history and picturesque landscapes.
The first stop was Luxembourg City, where I marveled at the contrast between the historic Old Town and the more modern parts of the city. The Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and wandering its cobbled streets felt like stepping back in time. One of my favorite spots was the Bock Casemates, an ancient fortress system carved into the cliffs. Exploring the tunnels and underground passages was fascinating, and the panoramic views over the Alzette River from the top were stunning.
In addition to the historic sights, Luxembourg City is known for its contemporary vibe, with a vibrant mix of modern architecture and high-end shopping districts. I visited the Kirchberg area, where the city’s financial institutions and the European Union buildings are located, and admired the striking contrast between old and new.
Another highlight of the trip was a day spent in the scenic Mullerthal Region, often called “Little Switzerland” for its rocky landscapes and lush forests. I took a beautiful hike through winding trails, past waterfalls and unique rock formations, which felt like a retreat into nature and provided some truly memorable views.
Throughout my stay, I was struck by Luxembourg’s multicultural atmosphere; as a hub for European affairs, the city has a mix of people from various backgrounds, adding to its lively, cosmopolitan feel. Luxembourg may be small, but it offers an incredible depth of experiences for travelers looking to explore history, nature, and culture all in one place.

Walking
My friends list has a lot of Catholics, so they must really like my European photo album this time. I'm a Buddhist but I really like the architecture of churches here. When I stepped inside, I saw that it was much more majestic than in the pictures 🇱🇺🇱🇺🇱🇺🇱🇺🇱🇺
Notre Dame Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church in Luxembourg City, Southern Luxembourg. It was originally a Jesuit church, and was put into use in 1613. This is the only church in Luxembourg. Notre Dame Cathedral is in the Gothic style, has many exquisite stained glass windows and is also the place to keep a precious statue of the Virgin Mary.

Luxembourg Travel Guide: Small Country, Big Charm, Experience the Perfect Blend of History and Modernity
🌍 The understated luxury of Europe's 'Little Boot'—Luxembourg, do you know about this hidden gem city?
Recently, with the rise of Aunt Ni Xialian, many people have started to pay attention to this mysterious small country located in the heart of Europe—Luxembourg 🇱🇺. Although its area is so small that it is almost unnoticeable on the map, Luxembourg is a highly charming travel destination. At the beginning of the year, because my friend is from Luxembourg, I had the opportunity to experience the unique charm of this lesser-known country, and today I want to share my travel experience with you.
🚆 Convenient transportation, worry-free travel
Although Luxembourg is a country, its area is not large, and the city center is also called Luxembourg City. If you are entering from Germany or France, it is very convenient to take a train or drive. Even better, public transportation within Luxembourg City is free on weekends! The entire city's transportation system is covered with free WiFi, making it convenient and considerate. However, whether the free policy applies on weekdays is somewhat inconsistent online, but according to local friends, it may still require payment.
🏰 Old Town, the pulse of history
The old town of Luxembourg City condenses the essence of this country. Here, classic buildings such as ancient city walls, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Grand Ducal Palace are all within walking distance, allowing you to inadvertently travel back to that era full of historical weight. Every corner of the old town tells the story of Luxembourg's past, as if every stone has witnessed a thousand years of time.
🏙 New Town, the collision of modernity and tradition
Although our main itinerary was concentrated in the old town, if you have time, you must not miss the new town. Not only is it the financial center of Luxembourg, but it also has a modern art museum designed by I.M. Pei. The stark contrast between the old and new towns showcases Luxembourg's perfect balance between history and modernity.
🍴 The taste of Luxembourg
When it comes to Luxembourg's cuisine, the P8-10 restaurant is a must-recommend. This restaurant offers authentic local Luxembourgish dishes and is located near the main street. During weekend lunch hours, local families often gather here, so it is recommended to go a bit earlier to experience the daily life and food culture of Luxembourg.

Strolling Around Luxembourg City
#familytravel #vianasjourney #awesomepic
Our trip to Luxembourg was short but since it was not such a big city, we managed to see quite a few places around. My first thought when walking around was ‘there is a lot of climbing stairs and hills’. It is indeed need a lot of climbing, be it a stairs or a hill. The city center itself is on the top and surrounded by the city gate. Palais Grand Ducal can be easily spotted in the center, the building/ architecture is so grand and elegant. Price of food can be a bit expensive compared to other surrounding European countries.
Viana’s Journey
Tour of Luxembourg Canyon Scenic Area
Luxembourg Canyon Park is the soul of the entire city! Luxembourg Canyon mainly refers to the Alzette Valley, which divides Luxembourg City into the new city and the old city. This valley and its surrounding areas not only have charming natural scenery but also include numerous historical relics and cultural attractions. The Adolphe Bridge is one of Luxembourg's landmarks, spanning the canyon and connecting the new and old city districts; the symmetrical arches supporting the bridge are among Europe's outstanding architectural works. Overlooking Luxembourg Canyon from the bridge is very spectacular!
In the distance, the sky is dotted with white clouds, and the blue sky looks like a dyed palette, exceptionally pleasing to the eye. Every casual shot is like a postcard.

Innside - Breach of Security & Privacy
We were recently staying at INNSiDE by Meliá Luxembourgh in May 2024. Unfortunately, we have experienced a severe breach of security and privacy, resulting in the theft of personal belongings from our room.
This not only caused significant financial loss but also considerable distress and inconvenience. As guests of the hotel, we had a reasonable expectation of security and privacy, both of which were egregiously violated.
The hotel guest list with hotel room numbers and associated guest names was left unattended on the restaurant reception desk. An individual (unauthorized person) has obtained this information and received a room access key from the hotel front desk staff (without properly checking and verifying their IDs) while we were having breakfast in your hotel restaurant. The unauthorized person(s) has entered our room and stole our personal belongings while we were in your restaurant having breakfast.
It is evident that the hotel failed to uphold its duty to provide adequate security measures, allowing unauthorized access to guest rooms and facilitating the theft of personal property. Such negligence constitutes a breach of the hotel's duty of care to guests and warrants swift and appropriate action to rectify the situation.
In light of the aforementioned breach of security and privacy, we are in the process of demanding compensation for the losses incurred as a direct result of the theft.
At this time, we still have not received any reply on our request and any indication from the hotel to take immediate steps to address the breach of security and privacy at your establishment.
Total disappointment.
