📅 Itinerary Day1: Check in to accommodation and take a walk along the river Medway, walking towards East Farleigh. Pass a lovely little farm on your way where you can stop for a bite to eat and to see the animals or stop off for a drink at the Victory Inn, then walk back to Town. You can also walk in the other direction, towards Allington and stop by the Little Toll House for Coffee and homemade cakes. I’d recommend doing both if you can 😋 Enjoy a short rest before going back out for dinner at Shamrat Indian cuisine restaurant - I recommend everything on the menu but their specials menu is particularly good for trying something new!😇 Enjoy some (live music at the weekend) and board games at Drakes afterwards before returning to the accommodation for a well deserved rest. Day2: Wake up and travel to Oad Street Food and Crafts for a delicious brunch and wander, you can also check out The Potting Shed, Leah’s Bistro or the Little Shed for something closer to town, or MuMus Bottomless Brunch at the weekend if you were after something more lively!🤭 Take a walk around Mote Park and burn off that breakfast😆🍳 Next, try out Prison Island’s escape rooms, a unique activity to have fun no matter what age you are! There is also mini golf and other games available there and a rage room just up the road if you want to try something new!😁⛳️ Have another night of asian cuisine at Yeti restaurant which serves asian fusion cuisine or check out La Taberna for authentic Spanish cuisine, or Fifis Brassiere for Neapolitan food, all of which are delicious! Perfectly adequate room

Always love staying here. The ground. The food and the staff. Nothing to complain about. Only thing I would say is to ensure there’s heaters in the room around winter times as the central heating does take a long time to warm up the room. Other than that, great service as always.

I don’t think I’ll forget the feeling of standing at the edge of the platform. The small of damp bark, soft hum of wind through the leaves and the sound of nervous laughing from ahead before stepping off into nothing but air. There is so many to do where we ended up going up and down for hours in the woods. Zip lines are the best part the end all the trails of the platform and climbing. You can also visit the castle after the adventure! First time visiting this beefeater and was alittle apprehensive after reading so many negative reviews, but it was fair to say that my party had a pleasant experience. We had the Sunday roast beef and the portion size was more than plentiful and was nice apart from the potatoes and Yorkshire pudding they were slightly overcooked, and was slightly overpriced for standard roast I think your paying for quantity not quality! There was a few things on the menu that were unavailable and I would say the service for drinks is quite slow. Our overall experience was good and I would eat here again despite the minor complaints I had.

I will NEVER buy food from this establishment again! Firstly it’s completely chaotic with 3 different queues and no-one knowing which queue is for what, the time you have to wait once you’ve ordered your food is ridiculous considering there is plenty of staff and we visited during the day in term time it was just manic from start to finish. When you do finally get your food order you will probably be very disappointed that you had to wait as long as you do then to be given a very undercooked burger that was gooey and was like dog meat (this is what we ordered) and the bun was all falling apart like it was three days old and the Cornish pasty that we ordered was warm, but once you had a bite into it, the meat filling was chewy and tough and just was not edible! We were going to complain and return the food but given it had taken so long for us to recieve our food and the queues still being long we decided not to bother. It’s extremely overpriced and I will not return to eat on this place again!

This is a wonderful lake near maidstone,kent. #aylesfordtrip Animal lovers, this one’s for you! The Kent Owl Academy was a truly magical experience. Getting up close to these magnificent birds of prey was an absolute highlight of my trip. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about conservation, providing fascinating insights into the different species and their behaviors. One of the best parts was the hands-on experience—I got to hold an owl, and it was unforgettable! The academy isn’t just about owls; they also have other birds of prey and even some friendly meerkats. The setting is lovely, with a peaceful, natural environment that allows you to really appreciate the beauty of these creatures. It’s a great activity for both kids and adults, and I would highly recommend booking a flying experience if you get the chance. Whether you’re a bird enthusiast or just looking for a unique experience, The Kent Owl Academy is well worth a visit.
