I finally ticked off my bucket list this time. We took the tour for 5,000 rubles per person, and while you wait, the guide will determine if the tour is available and let you know when to go. Our schedule got messed up, so our original three-night stay was shortened to two. And even then, on the day of our arrival, we were told the clouds were too high to see the aurora. 😭 We saw one aurora, but we were so worried we wouldn't see it again. When you enter the forest to see the aurora, temperatures can drop to -35 degrees Celsius, so pack warmly. I finally understood why it's called 'hunting the Northern Lights' during my trip. I spent two nights driving around to different spots where the Northern Lights could be seen. Each night, I had to drive to several places, sometimes seeing faint lights and other times stronger ones, depending on the timing.
