I recently visited Mürren and just had to share my experience because I absolutely loved it! 💗💗 This charming mountain village is breathtakingly beautiful, peaceful, serene, and incredibly romantic. 🏔️🤍 When I visited, the entire village was blanketed in snow, making it feel like stepping into a fairytale world. ❄️✨ Every corner offers stunning views, with snow-capped mountains lined up like a pristine white wallpaper, perfectly contrasting with the wooden houses—it's simply enchanting. 🥹 Strolling through the village is pure joy. The small wooden houses, cozy cafes, and adorable shops exude an authentic Swiss vibe. 🪵☕ Snow clings to the rooftops and balconies, making every photo spot picture-perfect and utterly charming. 🥹❄️ 🚆 Recommended & Easiest Route: Interlaken Ost → Lauterbrunnen → Grütschalp → Mürren 1. Interlaken Ost → Lauterbrunnen Take a train (~20 minutes) with stunning views along the way. 🌄 2. Lauterbrunnen → Grütschalp Hop on a cable car (~5 minutes) for a short but scenic ride. 3. Grütschalp → Mürren Board a small mountain train (~15 minutes) for a relaxing ride straight into the village. 🚞 The total travel time is about 45–60 minutes, making it an easy and enjoyable journey.

Got super lucky with the weather - it was sunny for five straight days, allowing me to snap over 1,000 photos! Grindelwald 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A must-visit! Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, it's breathtakingly beautiful. The view behind Sunstar Hotel is particularly photogenic. Lake Brienz 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 From Interlaken Ost, you can take buses or trains to both shores (⚠️they're not connected - you'll need to return to Interlaken to switch). This was the most stunning lake we saw, best visited before sunset when the water turns a gorgeous sapphire blue. Bus stops: Crash Landing on You filming location/Tenn/Matte Train stop: Brienzer Uferpromenade Spiez 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Lake Thun isn't as vividly blue as Lake Brienz, with deeper hues. Spiez town is quiet and peaceful. Stayed two nights at Belvédère Strandhotel which has indoor/outdoor pools and a small scenic viewpoint - very photogenic! Zermatt 🌟🌟🌟🌟 1.5-hour train from Spiez plus 30-minute cogwheel train to Matterhorn. This high-altitude town is chilly - pack extra layers. Lauterbrunnen 🌟🌟🌟🌟 40-minute train from Grindelwald. A small waterfall town with stunning cascades. Mürren 🌟🌟🌟 30-minute cable car + cogwheel train from Lauterbrunnen. A cliffside village surrounded by mountains with expansive views, especially photogenic when flowers bloom. Mount Rigi, Lucerne 🌟🌟🌟 2 hours up by boat + train, 1.5 hours down by train + cable car + boat. Weggis 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Accessible by Rigi Kaltbad cable car or Lucerne boat. Surprisingly beautiful hidden gem! We arrived via the scenic cable car from Lauterbrunnen, and as we ascended, the clouds thickened, casting an ethereal mist over the valley. Rain swept through at times, but it only added to the drama—clouds drifting across the towering Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau made every view feel like a painting in motion. Wandering through Mürren’s quiet lanes, past wooden chalets bursting with flower boxes, we embraced the cooler breeze and shifting skies. The fog would part now and then to reveal sweeping mountain vistas, making it feel like we were floating above the world. Despite the weather, or perhaps because of it, Mürren had a peaceful, magical atmosphere—ideal for slow walks, mountain cafés, and simply taking in the grandeur of nature. When the sun peeked through, it lit up the green slopes and distant glaciers like a reward for your patience.

Stechelberg is part of the Lauterbrunnen valley, the entrance to the upper valley. Then we took a walk beside Parking Stechelberg to enjoy the nature, river and waterfall. There’s a place for you to barbecue too if you wanted to do so. We had a pleasant walk around that area before we take the cable car to Gimmelwald. You also can take the cable car to Murren. I want to travel to Hong Kong to explore a different culture, nature, and food.

Murren is a car free alpine village in Switzerland - the only way to access Murren village is by cable car and train. The village lies at about 1650m above sea level, which offering amazing panoramic view. We visited the village during winter season and apparently it is the season where Murren becomes busy with tourists and/or ski lovers. During your visit to Murren, you can also pay a visit to the Mt Schilthorn by cable car if you are a fan of 007 James Bond.

Murren is a very small town, so it should take about an hour to see everything. There are many places to visit in Interlaken, but this place is famous for its snowy mountains, cute villages, and log photo spots, and that is Murren! Even though I visited in March, it was still covered in snow and had a wintery atmosphere! The snow and the rocky mountains blend together to form a large wall, so isn't it really magnificent?? One town that you have to visit is the town of Lauterbrunnen simply because if you are looking for views and beauty that take your breath away, it's definitely this town! Lauterbrunnen is located in a valley where there js the Lauterbrunnen waterfall about 300m high and you can hear the loud roar of the waterfall from a distance away. For an outdoor and hiking enthusiasts 1 day in this town isn't enough due to the many activities situated all around Lauterbrunnen, simply because there is the staubbach falls hike, the murren hike and the trummelbach hike.
