Watdhammayan was built as a memorial to honor Luang Pho Ruesi Ling Dam of Wat Tha Sung. It is also one of the beautiful temples in Phetchabun Province. The main chapel is white, and in front of it, there are two large naga sculptures named 'Phaya Srisutthon' and 'Phaya Srisunan' that spout water. The belief of this temple is that if you let the naga spout water on you, it will bring good fortune and wealth.
The Sacred 'Luang Por Ham Jon' of Wat Mai Samakkhi
The revered 'Luang Por Ham Jon' at Wat Mai Samakkhi is a Buddha statue carved by Burmese craftsmen from a standing dead tree, believed by locals to be sacred. People facing financial difficulties or other obstacles find that their prayers for prosperity are answered here, earning the statue the name 'Luang Por Ham Jon', which means 'The Monk Who Prohibits Poverty'. Devotees continuously visit to seek blessings, and the temple also hosts a market selling local goods. Anyone wishing for good fortune is welcome to come and pray. 📍 Located at Moo 4, Huay Pong Sub-district, Nong Phai District, Phetchabun Province.
