🏝 Zanzibar 6 Nights 7 Days: The Perfect Relaxation Route After Safari (Stone Town → Nungwi → Michamvi) After finishing our safari itinerary, we bid farewell to our guide at Kilimanjaro Airport and took an evening flight to Zanzibar. ✈️ Precision Air Since it’s a small propeller plane, minimizing carry-on luggage is essential! Make sure to check in your suitcase and only bring a backpack and valuables separately. The peanuts served onboard were absolutely delicious! 😋 --- 🧭 Our Route 1️⃣ Stone Town (2 nights) 2️⃣ Nungwi (2 nights) 3️⃣ Michamvi (2 nights) We coordinated all transportation and tours with Ibrahim, a taxi driver we contacted in advance from Korea. He can also arrange tours like Prison Island and dolphin tours! Prices are negotiable, reasonable, and he’s very friendly 👍 --- 📍 Day 1–2 | Stone Town Stone Town is Zanzibar’s old town, and the atmosphere is truly exotic. Narrow alleys, old buildings, high-ceilinged rooms, and historic doors all add to its charm. 🔹 Accommodation was chosen based on cost-effectiveness and accessibility. The location was great, but the quality of the bathroom and Wi-Fi was slightly disappointing. However, since good hotels in Zanzibar tend to be pricey, we prioritized and focused on the rest of the itinerary. 🛥 Prison Island Tour While there isn’t much to see, interacting with giant tortoises over 100 years old was a healing experience 🐢 --- 🌅 Day 3–4 | Nungwi Beach (Nungwi Beach Resort by Turaco) This is the liveliest beach with the most travelers. The color of the sea is stunning, and the sunset is beyond words…💜 🏨 Nungwi Beach Resort by Turaco We booked an all-inclusive package, and it was definitely the right choice! Unlimited food and drinks allowed us to enjoy everything comfortably. The price difference isn’t significant, so I highly recommend going all-inclusive. 🐬 Dolphin Tour + Snorkeling (near Mnemba Island) When dolphins appear, you jump straight into the sea! The water is crystal clear, and snorkeling was highly satisfying. For honeymooners, I recommend renting a private boat. It’s much more relaxing and offers a truly private experience. --- 🌊 Day 5–7 | Michamvi This is where ultimate relaxation begins. 📍 Michamvi is a quiet village in southeastern Zanzibar. The sea is calm, and there are fewer tourists, making it a truly private space. 🏡 Qambani Luxury Resort Honestly… words can’t describe the experience. Spacious private areas overlooking the sea, a swimming pool, and interiors full of charm—it was perfection. 🌴 On the last day of the itinerary, we spent the day reading, swimming, and watching the sunset at the resort. We visited the Nungwi zoo in Zanzibar out of curiosity and we were very pleasantly surprised. The zoo introduces you to a tour guide as you enter who is native to Tanzania and knows about the animals. Some of the smaller monkeys and deer can roam freely around the zoo. For most of the exhibits, the guide will take you into the zoo so that you can feed the animals which is very cool. We went to the turtle sanctuary in Nungwi which we were a little bit sceptical about. However, it was extraordinary! They staff teach you about the turtles first and there is a chance to see the baby turtles first. Then the exciting stuff starts and you can swim with them! They are so friendly and very used to humans. Afterwards we learnt more about the turtles and the threats they face #conservation #mytripvlog

Fat Fish Grill is located in the Aaman Beach Bungalows in Nungwi. They have quite a big central bar in the middle of the venue as well as some very good views of the Indian Ocean. They have a half price happy hour every afternoon for cocktails and the decor of the restaurant has a nautical theme which is very fitting for they surroundings that it is in. I’ve recently visited Zanzibar (Tanzania), I stayed in Nungwi which is mostly frequented by tourists all from all over the world. The prestine beaches and warm loving people of Zanzibar is one amazing place to visit anytime! Though most people advise against traveling during rainy season. When in Zanzibar please do enjoy the fruits, it was the best fruits I’ve ever head! Don’t miss a chance of meeting the Masai people, you’ll mostly find men by the Bea as they work as beach boys and females and children in the Massai village. There isn't much more to say. If I had to choose one place to revisit out of all the destinations I've been to, I would choose Zanzibar without a second thought. Everything you see is beautiful. Just being able to borrow this space for a moment is enough to bring tears to my eyes. I highly recommend experiencing this place at least once in your life. It's worth it.
