Hidden Gem in Bangkok: Coconut Lane 🌴✨
Stumbled upon a dreamy oasis in Bang Nam Phueng, and I couldn’t keep this secret to myself!
🍃 Coconut Lane is a serene café that blends modern and traditional vibes, run by a warm Thai-Dutch family. Whether you’re a café hopper or just need a peaceful escape, this spot is pure magic.
☕ The highlights:
• Vegan pumpkin & coconut pancakes that are simply divine!
• Coffee that hits all the right notes.
• A lush garden and stunning treetop views from the 2nd level.
✨ Traveler Tips:
• Rent a bike for just 50 THB/day at the pier to explore the island fully.
• Be mindful of the locals—stay quiet and greet them with a friendly “Sawasdee krub/ka” and a smile. 😊
• Bring your camera because every corner here is Instagram-worthy!
Honestly, I found this gem during an unplanned walk (with my face unwashed, LOL), and it turned into one of my favorite finds in Bangkok.

THREE-HEADED ELEPHANT PINK MUSEUM IN BANGKOK
Step into a world of wonder at the Erawan Museum, home to a colossal three-headed elephant sculpture. Each floor represents a cosmic realm: the Underworld, Earth, and Heaven. As you ascend the stairways, the mesmerizing stained-glass roof casts a celestial glow and the highest floor, painted with a star map, hosts serene Buddha statues. Don’t miss the tranquil garden and the sacred shrines on your way out.
🚝 easiest way to reach is by train (about 35mins ride from the city center, with 10mins walk from Chang Erawan BTS).

⏰ 9am - 7pm. Timing Tip: Visit in the morning or closer to closing time for a quieter experience. Unlike Wat Arun or the Grand Palace, Erawan offers serene solitude. We arrived around 10 am and practically had the place to ourselves

✨Let me share some fascinating details about it:
The museum is topped by a monumental three-headed bronze elephant, a Hindu mythological creature. This impressive statue weighs 250 tons, stands 29 meters tall, and stretches 39 meters in length. It's cast entirely in pure copper.
The three storeys inside the elephant house antiquities and priceless collections of ancient religious objects. These artifacts belonged to Lek Viriyapant, the museum owner and creator of other iconic museums like Ancient Siam and the Sanctuary of Truth in Pattaya.
Visiting Tips:
🕰️To explore everything, allocate about 1 - 1.5 hours
‼️It's best to avoid arriving at the opening time due to crowds - large tourist groups often visit on big buses.
🚫No drones allowed

Let's find some snacks at Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market.
If you can't decide what to eat on weekends, try visiting Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market. You can shop for delicious and affordable food, and it's very close to Bangkok. 🚗
The market is an indoor market with a lot of food stalls. Additionally, there are plants, traditional snacks, and local fruits sold at reasonable prices. The market is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM every Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays. There is plenty of parking space. If the market and temple parking are full, there is a parking lot at the back that charges 20 baht per car with no time limit.
🌳The market is divided into sections, with a tent area for plants and a front area before crossing the bridge with many food stalls, clothes, and souvenirs. After crossing the bridge, if you turn left, you can walk into Bang Nam Phueng Nai Temple. Turning right leads to the floating market area, where stalls are lined along the canal with a shady atmosphere. There are paths to walk around the market, and you will find a garden area with a stage and singers providing entertainment for visitors. There are tables and chairs where you can sit and enjoy your purchases. The area is full of trees, so it's not hot at all.
⏳If you have time after walking around the market, you can drive to visit Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park, which is not far away. The park offers activities like bicycle rentals for a leisurely ride or you can walk around to enjoy nature and breathe fresh air. 🚲🚲

A Spiritual Journey at the Erawan Museum in Bangkok
Stepping into the Erawan Museum in Bangkok, a gigantic three-headed elephant statue stands majestically before you, exuding an aura of reverence and sanctity. The bronze statue towers into the sky, emanating an ancient and mysterious charm. Approaching the base of the statue, you are greeted with a rich tapestry of Thai culture and religious imagery, with every inch of space seemingly narrating a story of history.
Ascending the spiral staircase, the stained glass ceiling inside is dreamlike, with sunlight filtering through, illuminating the entire space with a mystical and splendid glow. The museum houses many precious Buddhist artifacts and artworks, each quietly conveying wisdom and peace. While offering prayers and meditating in the belly of the elephant, the complexities of the mind seem to dissipate with the rising incense smoke, replaced by a sense of pure tranquility.
As I left, I paused to look back, and the three-headed elephant appeared as a guardian deity, eternally preserving the power of tradition and faith under the sky of this city. This journey was not only a cultural exploration but also a purification and baptism of the soul.

Erawan Elephant Museum
#Cultural tourism Erawan Museum, Samut Prakan, an art and religious tourism destination that will take us to explore the stories of the four major religions of Asia.
If you look from the outside or from above, everyone should be familiar with the building in the shape of a three-headed elephant. But the area of the building is divided into 3 parts, which is inspired by the Traibhumikatha (dividing the world into 3 parts: the underworld, the human world, and heaven). The lowest floor is underground or the underworld, called the "Suvarnabhumi Floor". The second is the building that supports the elephant, the "human world". The third floor is the part of the elephant, which is above the human world according to the Traibhumi concept, which is heaven. This part is called the "Universe Floor".
The "Suvarnabhumi Floor" exhibits antiques and tiles that indicate traces of culture in the Southeast Asian region, especially the use of earthenware, Benjarong, and Benjarong with gold water pattern, which are symbols of the upper class in the Ayutthaya period. The decoration on this floor also includes sculptures of Naga humans that convey the abundance of water and nature.
The "human world" presents art that combines the East and the West. There is a dome decorated with a large world map on stained glass, representing the four elements: earth, water, wind and fire, which represents the composition of the world. Inside the hall, it is decorated with exquisite stucco patterns made by craftsmen from Phetchaburi, as well as hundreds of thousands of pieces of Benjarong porcelain cut into small pieces and decorated with beautiful alternating patterns. There are also four pillars decorated with exquisite embossed tin, representing the four religious virtues: loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity, which are the foundations supporting the human world.
The "Universe" is like a journey to heaven, decorated with murals telling stories of gods and angels floating in the sky. Inside the room, it is decorated with a large solar system. The ceiling shows the sun and planets, along with a walking Buddha statue and a replica of the Buddha's footprint, creating a peaceful atmosphere like a sacred temple.
The park around the museum is designed to be a literary botanical garden, representing the Himalayas, along with sculptures of mythical animals such as kinnari, mermaids and other Himalaya animals. Reflecting the beauty of art that is embedded with religious beliefs and Thai legends

The mind blowing Erawan Museum, you need to see it to believe it!
This popped up on my Instagram feed and I couldn’t quite believe it, so had to visit! The Erawan museum features lots of small temples and shrines based around the world’s biggest elephant statue. Housed in the base of the elephant is the most detailed and intricate shrine I have ever seen.
The grounds themselves are beautiful, with water features and ornate statues surrounding the centrepiece. You can walk around the various shrines and pay tribute if you want, or just sit and watch people going about their religious traditions.
The main feature is the incredible elephant temple, take your shoes off and make sure you’re dressed appropriately before
You enter.
This is probably the most intricately designed building I have ever seen, the detailing in the craftsmanship is Incredible. Make sure you make it to the top, follow the small spiral staircase to the attic room for the beautifully decorated roof. (there is a lift if the staircase is busy)
Honestly well worth the visit, it’s stunning!
