as part of my great ocean road road trip I also went to the Apollo bay to visit. the beach was nice and clean and felt really refreshing and relaxing. stopped by here for lunch and of course one of the most important and definitely must try dishes at Apollo bay would be the fish and chips. they were good and fresh. there are several restaurants nearby for you to explore. also there are a variety of shops over here for you to just browse and stroll around. they sell many surfers stuff in fact. it was nice walking around here and just chilling. a must visit as part of your road trip if you have the chance.

Outstanding view and fresh seafood!
Apollo Bay Fisherman’s Co.op was Offering nicely cooked fish & chips, grilled scallops and prawns is the hallmark of this restaurant. It's time to try tasty fresh seafood and good watermelon salads. It might be nice to try great tea and you can select between indoor and outdoor seating. As for me i had choose an outdoor seating for it’s soectacular viee. The Apollo Bay Fishermen's Co-Op i can rated it at 4/5.
Low cloud clung to the hills and valleys as I wound our way around the Great Ocean Road and into Apollo Bay. It is a better for adding some dramatic atmosphere to my journey, and the perfect back drop to to ocean-front fish and chips.
The Fish & Chips at the Fishermans co-op is worth a stroll out to the harbour (10 mins gentle walk from the main street). We walked past quite a few other restaurants, but the picturesque setting out at the harbour was really great and awesome.
2 Pieces of fish, calamari, and a large chips was perfect for me and friends with some fresh scallop too.
I stopped here for lunch on a beautiful sunny winters day.
The place was really packed with tourists and small tour buses stopped here for lunch.
The food was so fresh while the fish and scallops were so tasty as they were so fresh and very highly recommend. The seafood platters looked amazing too.
As for me, the Apollo bay service, great seafood, great setting And i really Loved it so much and would comeback again for the next trip

Our overnight stop on the Great Ocean Road

Apollo Bay is one of the most picturesque seaside villages in Australia. Tucked away in the foothills of the incredible Otways, the bay is a haven for water lovers and adventure travellers.
Come to Apollo Bay town and enjoy freshly caught seafood and fish.
Thanks to its status as a traditional fishing village, Apollo Bay is renowned for its dedication to seafood, and there’s even a festival that caters solely to this cuisine in February. Oysters 🦪 are a must-try dish here as it is so deliciously fresh.
As most of the restaurants closed pretty early, do check out their closing time and plan in advance so you won’t be disappointed.

On the Great Ocean Road in Melbourne, I met a group of wild parrots, especially those who are not afraid of being born. If you have food on your hands, you will swarm and even stand on your head and squirt []

I love the small town of Apollo Bay, the mountain is our RV camp, just by the sea, the view is superb, so there is no hurry but stay here for two days, but unfortunately here is a bit of water, first the parking violation was deducted 100 Australian dollars, in the blink of an eye, the lookout camera lens broke.

The Great Ocean Road is indeed the most beautiful coastal road in the world. The hotel in Apollo Bay is so photogenic. It feels like I've taken a lifetime photo.

The one and only Gin tasting at Apollo bay
Apollo Bay Distillery - Great ocean read
So glad that we came here to try their Gin flight, its their local gin and I think it tasted lovely! The staff taught gave us the recipe card and went through all the ingredients with us patiently. It came with a mini bucket of ice, garnish and a mini tonic water. We bought a lot of mini gin as gifts for friends and all my friends love it!
The pizza here is really nice as well, love the thin crust. We ordered a artichoke pizza ( my first time having it) and I’m surprised that I actually enjoyed it! It’s definitely something new and special for me, it goes very well with other ingredients.
We ordered the fried calamari as side and it’s so fresh and tasty as well, love the salad at the side, it has some picked radish and carrot and sort of balanced out the heavy pizza and fried calamari. We had a really good experience here and hope you will enjoy it too! :)

Apollo Bay - Great Ocean Road Self-Drive Series
Leave at 6:30 in the morning and go to Apollo Bay Beach to watch the sunrise. The east is faintly bright, and the sun is still below the horizon. The slope of Apollo Bay Beach is extremely small, and the beach is almost horizontal. The watery beach is like a mirror, presenting a beautiful reflection. The rising sun is blocked by thin clouds, forming a golden cloud layer on the sea, and a golden light also shines on the beach. The Marriner viewpoint is on a small hill, 3.5 kilometers away from Apollo Bay town, and the car can be driven to the parking lot on the hill. From a high altitude, the beautiful Apollo Bay and the town are all in sight.
