This is Kinomiya Shrine in Atami. It's one of the most powerful spots in Atami, so many people probably know about it. It's about a 15-minute walk up the hill from Atami Station. There are buses and taxis available from the station, so I recommend taking those in the summer. When you arrive at the shrine, you'll be greeted by a torii gate surrounded by trees. It has a very nice atmosphere. The facility has been renovated, and there is a stylish cafe on the premises, and the toilets are also very clean! Going further in, you'll find the oldest sacred tree in Japan. It's very large and has a majestic atmosphere. They also have waffles and thick toasts in the menu. I've come here twice and it taste as good as ever! My fav is those with cheesecakes.
