🗺️Recommended Route
Beihai Silver Beach - Beihai Old Street - Liuxia Village - Guantouling - Qiaogang Style Street
👉Beihai Silver Beach
For sunrise, this is the place to go, the sand is very fine, and sitting under the palm trees🌴 gives you a feeling of being on the West Island. You can also choose to stay around here, I stayed at the 257 Guanxia Homestay, which even has a swimming pool, and it's great value for money.
👉Beihai Old Street
It retains the oldest look of Beihai, the streets are full of atmosphere, you can go for a bowl of sweet soup, and the Liuzhou snail rice noodles🍜 are also very delicious, you must try them when in Guangxi.
👉Liuxia Village
Checked in at the same Bobo soda shop🥤 as Wang Yibo, the small shops along the way are really photogenic! No need to look for specific scenes, it's much more interesting than I imagined.
👉Guantouling
You can locate the Sheraton Hotel, this place is really like a paradise, the waves🌊 are very white, and with the lighthouse, there are many photo spots, highly recommended!!
👉Qiaogang Style Street
For dinner, go to this place, we went to the Shi Hao Ye Seafood🦞 Stall this time, highly recommended!! It's a million times better than the food on Weizhou Island, and the prices are not very high, after eating you can also go buy some sweet water, shrimp cakes snacks

Beihai | A city I've visited many times|||I've been to Beihai many times, and there aren't many tourist traps. Beihai is super beautiful, and you can take great photos anywhere. Here are some tips for those planning to visit Beihai!
🏛️ Must-visit attractions
Beihai Silver Beach: Known as the "Best Beach in the World" 🏖️. The beach is fine and soft, like silver satin spread along the coast. Silver Beach is not only picturesque but also carries the oceanic feelings and historical memories of the people of Beihai.
Weizhou Island: Known as the "Fairyland of Penglai" and the "Maldives of Guangxi" 🏝️. This volcanic island not only has magnificent natural scenery but also preserves rich historical and cultural relics. Ming Dynasty scholar Tang Xianzu once wrote poems praising the beauty of Weizhou.
Beihai Old Street: A witness to Beihai's history 🏘️. Stroll along the cobblestone streets, flanked by a blend of Chinese and Western architecture, and feel like you've traveled back to a bustling era.
Guantouling: A mountain ridge located at the southwest end of Beihai City 🌄. Once a coastal defense fortress, it has been eroded by wind and waves, forming a movie-like landscape. The popular lighthouse by the sea is a great spot for photos.
Beihai South Pearl Museum: The first comprehensive cultural museum in China themed around South Pearls 💎. It showcases the brilliant history and craftsmanship of South Pearls, leaving visitors in awe.

1️⃣ Self-driving is not recommended in Beihai, as traffic is complex and parking is inconvenient. Public transport is convenient enough.
2️⃣ On Weizhou Island, try Sunset Sweetheart Thai Restaurant. Great atmosphere and taste, and very appetizing. Portions are small but delicate. Fresh dishes, moderately salty, perfectly cooked, and served quickly. Friendly owner and staff.
3️⃣ Most things available on Qiaogang Style Street can also be found on Beihai Old Street, which has more historical charm.

Check in at Beihai Old Street in Guangxi.
🏰Guys! I recently went to Beihai for a trip. I did a lot of research before I went, and I found that everyone recommended going to the old street, so I went. After I went, I found that it was really great! Beihai Old Street is so beautiful! I love it! I have to share it with you guys!
First of all, the architectural style of Beihai Old Street is very distinctive. They are all arcade buildings, full of Nanyang style, making me feel like I have traveled to Southeast Asia.
Moreover, the streets of Beihai Old Street are very spacious and comfortable, unlike other ancient towns that are crowded.
🥙Secondly, there are many delicious foods in Beihai Old Street. I went to a shop called "Auntie Li's Shrimp Cakes". It is said that this shop has been open for 30 years and is a popular shop in Beihai Old Street. I ordered a shrimp cake and was amazed by the first bite! The shrimp cake was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The shrimp inside was very large and delicious. With the special sauce, it was simply amazing! I also went to a shop called "Youjian Ice Room". The decoration of this shop is very distinctive. It is a retro ice room. I ordered a mango ice and was conquered by the first bite! The mango ice was very delicate and the mango flavor was very rich. With milk and ice, it was simply a perfect match for summer! I also went to a shop called "Liang Ji Char Siu Bao". The char siu bao of this shop is very famous. I ordered a char siu bao and was a fan by the first bite! The char siu bao skin was very thin and soft, and the char siu inside was very tender. With the special sauce, it was simply delicious!
Guys! Beihai Old Street is really worth a visit! If you want to travel to Beihai, you must go to the old street! If you have already been to Beihai Old Street, you must go again! Because it is really too beautiful! I love Beihai Old Street!

Beihai Travel Notes
Beihai Travel Notes
The weather at the end of August is slightly less hot, making it suitable for playing in Beihai, this small seaside town.
Day 1: In the afternoon, I took a brief stroll around Silver Beach and Qiaogang Customs Street. Silver Beach was crowded like a pot of dumplings, and the seawater was yellowish, so the experience was average. Qiaogang Customs Street had a lot of food, but it was also crowded.
Day 2: Checked out Beihai Old Street and Guantouling Sunset, and took some time in between to buy some pearl specialties. The taxi to Guantouling was set to Haikushilan, and there were fewer people than at Silver Beach. The seawater was also clearer, and the sunset in the evening was beautiful. In the evening, I couldn't get a taxi back, so I rented a Hello electric scooter for a ride, which was comfortable and perfect~ This time I came to Beihai just after the fishing moratorium ended, so the seafood was very fresh and sweet. The original seafood noodles and steamed seafood porridge were the best. PS: Remember to buy iced coconut water, otherwise, you will most likely drink coconut water with a strange taste.

A Nostalgic Journey to the 'Time Tunnel'
Located in Beihai, Guangxi, the Old Street preserves the traditional harbor culture. This picturesque street, nestled between mountains and the sea, feels like a passage through a time tunnel. As you stroll along, you can admire various old-style buildings and feel the precious historical memories of the city. In addition to its rich history, the Old Street is also home to many unique snack stalls that are hard to resist. Visiting Beihai Old Street not only allows you to savor authentic seafood delicacies but also lets you experience the unique charm of this harbor city in a nostalgic atmosphere. It's like a sanctuary where time flows backward, making it an excellent place to experience the cultural essence of Beihai.

An old street leading to the sea, quickly make an appointment with old friends to check in
🌟 Check in at the romantic Beihai Old Street 🌟
📍 Address: Beihai Old Street, Beihai City
🚗 Transportation: Whether by bus, taxi, or our little electric scooter, you can easily reach it!
A beautiful old street leading to the sea, as if you are in a romantic painting! Strolling in the old street, you are surrounded by blooming flowers 🌸! The old architectural style arcades are neatly aligned! Beihai Old Street is bustling at night, crowded with people, feeling the full popularity!
The old street is relatively quiet in the morning, with few tourists, making it very suitable for those who like tranquility. On both sides of the street are art students sketching, using their brushes to depict this beautiful old street. Since many shops are not yet open, the morning is not the best time to visit.
The old street is full of delicious food: shrimp cakes, spicy snails, pig's foot noodles, fresh coconut juice 🥥, Cantonese desserts... The prices are affordable, and there are also delicious oysters waiting for you to taste! In addition, the quaint shops are full of small commodities that make you linger, making it a great place to pick out souvenirs.
Time has left mottled marks here, and the atmosphere of everyday life is pervasive. At the end of the arcade is an alley leading to the sea, with ships faintly visible on the distant sea, and the breath of coastal life coming to you.
Every old city has a story, and every old street has a future. Although I am an old ferryman with drooping eyebrows, I have a special fondness for Beihai Old Street. This romantic place intoxicates me.

🍜Food recommendations:
1️⃣【Aming Seafood】🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
A real treasure of a store, went to eat two meals in a row! Blue crab yyds! The seafood is very fresh, great value for money, and the owner is very nice!
Be sure to go early, there are more types of seafood!
2️⃣【Xinji Shrimp Pancake】🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Crazy about buying three shrimp pancakes! It's very popular, you need to queue up to buy, but it's really delicious, very crispy, and the pancake skin is not too thick, much better than 【Lao Dao Li Ji Auntie Shrimp Pancake】! But the spring rolls are just average
3️⃣【Youjian Ice Room】🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Their fried ice yyds! Recommend mango yogurt and dragon fruit yogurt!
We didn't eat their seafood, it felt not cost-effective and not so fresh
4️⃣【Ye Ye Da Ji】🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Flavorful chicken steak baguette, very chewy, with lots of filling in the layers! Jackfruit sticky rice is worth a try! As for drinks, Lao ice coconut milk is very light, and watermelon popping coconut is mediocre
5️⃣【Fresh Milk Shop】🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Milk stewed eggs are really fragrant and creamy, with a strong taste of egg and milk, a shop where many locals come to drink sweet soup, dairy lovers can go for it!
6️⃣【Vietnamese Village Kitchen】🌟🌟🌟🌟
A very popular shop, you need to take a number and queue up, vanilla shrimp and sauce burst squid are good, great value for money, worth a try!
7️⃣【Twenty-four Buildings Dessert】 🌟🌟🌟🌟
The chestnuts in the chestnut egg white fruit are very sweet, a whole egg is really hardcore! Even more amazing is the taro sago, the taro is really soft and glutinous!
8️⃣【Mr. Zhou's Coral Jelly】 🌟🌟🌟
Local specialty, can be tried as a dessert after a meal
9️⃣【Jinhai Lou Crab Powder】🌟🌟🌟
The crab powder is very fresh! But do not recommend Vietnamese spring rolls and fried lobster balls, both are very ordinary
🔟【Charcoal Roasted Pork Pineapple Bun (Overseas Chinese Town Style Street Store)】🌟🌟🌟
Ordinary pineapple bun taste, no need to specifically check in
💗Other tips:
✔️No need to rent a car! Each attraction is not far away, shared electric bikes are readily available, do not eat near attractions
✔️Be sure to go to the beach at four or five o'clock in the afternoon, do physical sun protection, if you want to play in the water, you can bring a pair of slippers, and you must bargain on-site for sea activities
✔️If you go to Weizhou Island, arrive at the pier at least 1 hour in advance, don't be late! Ferry tickets cannot be refunded or changed, and are invalid if missed. Also, do not buy things casually on Weizhou Island, the prices are expensive.
✔️Don't buy specialty products in scenic spots, you can go directly to the supermarket, some can even be mailed directly
✔️Don't buy pearl jewelry in scenic areas, there are many fakes, remember to wait until the evening when some carts come out, they are cheaper.
✔️Be sure to book attractions in advance! During the peak season when there are many people, it is difficult to make a reservation.

Beihai Travel Map, remember to save it!
Beihai is not big, you can have a good time in two or three days. It has history (the arcade buildings of Beihai Old Street) as well as the sea, quite rich in experiences.
➡️ Jintan, Old Street, and Waisha Seafood Island are very close to each other, you can visit them together. If you're short on time, just go to Old Street
Beihai Old Street: Old but vibrant, half the city is full of life, this is the place they talk about. A nearly two-hundred-year-old street, the arcade buildings are full of historical sense, witnessing the rise and fall of Beihai Old Street, with a strong cultural atmosphere, especially a sense of the years. There are also various snacks and dessert shops that are quite good~
Waisha Seafood Island: There is a white bridge landmark, suitable for watching the sunset, taking photos, and the sea view is also pretty good.
➡️ Liuxia Village, Dadunhai Beach, Guantouling, and Zixiawan are close together, you can sit, drink, and walk around
Liuxia Village: An artistic little village, very photogenic, with quite a few coffee shops, sitting, taking photos, and basking in the sun is very comfortable, and Liuxia ➡️ Liuxia, is a bit suitable for people who can't speak to retain haha
Dadunhai Beach: A niche scenic spot, the most famous are the stone piers on the shore and the lighthouse at the end, you can take moody photos on cloudy days, nothing special on sunny days
Guantouling Beach: The coast is all stones, there is a monument called 'The Sea Dries, Rocks Crumble' for checking in, the scenery is indeed different from the fine sandy beaches, if you have time on the way, you can take a turn, quite distinctive.
Zixiawan Beach: A good place to watch the sunset, but the beach is not big, you can pick up shells or snails, usually the most beautiful scenery is a quarter to half an hour before sunset
Ronghe Yintan One Camping Tent Area is quite niche, with accommodation available, and nice scenery
Qiaogang Style Street: You can go to Qiaogang Style Street at night, there is a lot to eat, some Vietnamese snacks are worth trying
Beihai Yintan Tourist Resort: The sand is fine and the coastline is long, with good views of the sea, you can play in the water. At night, you can stay near Yintan, sea view rooms have very nice sea views, and after dinner, you can take a walk on the beach

Beihai City Underwater World Aquarium and Old Street
Beihai City is located on the coast of the Beibu Gulf in the southern part of Guangxi Province. We spent a whole day in the city visiting the aquarium and the old street.
The Beihai City Underwater World Aquarium is located in the Seaside Park, with a variety of corals, numerous fish, drifting jellyfish, slow-moving turtles, waddling penguins, elegant sharks, and cheerful seals, all bringing surprise and joy to visitors. The diver's performance of feeding and dancing with a stingray as tall as himself captivated the audience. Four seals, under the trainer's command, displayed various talents, with their clapping actions being adorably clumsy, and their ring-catching and ball-balancing acts being precise and stable. Their single-fin stands and inverted walking were impressive, continuously winning applause and exclamations from the audience. The park has a beautiful environment, and the aquarium is both educational and entertaining, with a constant stream of visitors.
A ten-minute walk from the Seaside Park takes you to the east entrance of Beihai Old Street, now named Zhuhai Road, which is about 1.5 kilometers long. It is a true old street that, despite some damage, has retained its old charm and added new colors. Beihai Old Street was a bustling commercial street that gradually formed over a hundred years starting in 1821. It declined in the late 1920s for various reasons and only prospered again with the development of Beihai ten years ago. The arcade buildings on the old street, a blend of Chinese and Western architecture, stand shoulder to shoulder, with numerous shop signs and smooth stone-paved roads. In front of some old shop locations, there are bronze sculptures reflecting the commercial activities of the past. The old street is full of dried seafood and tropical fruits, various drinks and snacks, clothing, shoes, hats, and crafts, all dazzling and reasonably priced. Many tourists come here, with women's smiles blooming like flowers and men's faces full of joy, tasting sweet drinks, trying delicious food, and choosing fine products. The most common sign on the street is for grilled oysters, '10 yuan for 20 pieces.' Some shopkeepers process ingredients at the door and enthusiastically solicit customers. Once you sit down, the shopkeeper will clarify that the sign refers to small oysters, with medium oysters at 20 yuan and large oysters at 35 yuan. We ordered a portion of large oysters, which can't be described as leaving a lingering taste, but only as having an acceptable flavor. Each shop has different skills, and everyone has different tastes. Since it's not expensive, there's no need to ask for too much.

Beihai Old Street - Zhuhai Road is an old street with a history of nearly two hundred years, established in 1821. Originally named Shengping Street, it was only 200 meters long and 4 meters wide. With continuous development through various historical periods, it has now become a commercial old street with a length of 1.44 kilometers and a width of 9 meters, lined with Sino-Western arcade-style buildings. Most of these buildings are two to three stories high, mainly influenced by the Western columnar-style architecture of the consulates built by countries such as Britain, France, and Germany in our city at the end of the 19th century. The window tops on both sides of the street are mostly arch structures, with decorative lines on the arch edges and the tops of the window columns, featuring smooth lines and exquisite craftsmanship. Different styles of decorations and reliefs on the street-facing walls form two sets of aerial sculpture galleries, north and south. The arcade part of these buildings, which faces the street, not only extends the road to both sides but also extends the shop fronts outward. People walking under the arcades are sheltered from wind and rain and can also avoid the scorching sun; the square columns of the arcades are thick and heavy, with a style reminiscent of ancient Roman architecture.

Beihai Old Street
Known as the 'Century-old Western Street', the old street is influenced by the fusion of Chinese and Western cultures in Beihai's history. The most distinctive feature of this street is 'the architectural style combines Chinese and Western elements, and the cultural life is a blend of both'.
Beihai Old Street has a history of nearly two hundred years, established in 1821, originally named Shengping Street, it was only 200 meters long and 4 meters wide. With continuous development through various historical periods, it has now become a commercial old street with a length of 1.44 kilometers and a width of 9 meters, lined with Sino-Western arcade-style buildings. It is also the longest and best-preserved arcade building in Lingnan, China, and has been praised by domestic and international experts and scholars as a 'modern architectural almanac'. The old street's buildings also have their own regional characteristics, absorbing features of Lingnan architecture and some artistic styles of Western architecture, with a layout of shops in the front and residences in the back, central ridge roofs, and drag-cage doors. Especially at the top of each arcade building, there are parapet walls of different styles, and most of the decorations and reliefs are a combination of Chinese and Western elements, forming an aerial decorative corridor on the old street. It exudes a classical and romantic European charm, stunningly beautiful, and is renowned both at home and abroad.

1 It is recommended to go when the sun sets, the pink pier combined with the sunset can create a very beautiful atmosphere;
2 The moment the sunset touches the sea level will be very brief, so it is suggested to plan your pose and choose the photo spot in advance to capture it quickly and efficiently;
3 There will be a lot of people on site, if you don't want your photos to have a cluttered background, you might give up some of the larger scenes;
4 The attraction does not require an entrance fee, but you may need to queue up when it's crowded, so it is recommended to make an online reservation in advance;
5 The pier is near Beihai's famous old street, which has a nostalgic feel with its arcade buildings that are also very photogenic, so it's suggested to visit these two attractions together to save time running back and forth. The Underwater World is also nearby, and if you plan to visit, you can schedule these attractions on the same day;
6 The ultraviolet rays in Beihai during July and August are intense, so fairy ladies must remember to wear sunscreen;
7 There are cafes nearby where you can quietly watch the sea with your loved one or friends, hoping that the sea of Beihai can heal you

The super film-producing retro style, the old street leading to the sea
Beihai strolling, old street photography.
It's really comfortable to come to Guangxi in winter, the temperature here is very warm, walking in short sleeves on the old street, walking and taking pictures, recording the current appearance of this once glorious Nanyang style arcade old street.
Street photography is really great, you can get beautiful pictures with a strong "German flavor" in minutes, it's really lovely!

Beihai Old Street is full of history and vicissitudes, it is a witness to China's Maritime Silk Road, it is an old street with nearly two hundred years of history, founded in 1821, originally called Shengping Street, only 200 meters long and 4 meters wide. With the continuous development of various historical periods, it has now become a commercial old street with a length of 1.44 kilometers and a width of 9 meters, with all the buildings along the street being Sino-Western arcade-style buildings.
The Beihai Old Street, carrying memories, crosses a century and shows the fireworks in the long river of history. Most of the buildings in Beihai are two to three stories high, mainly influenced by Western columnar architecture, with the window tops on both sides of the street being arch structures, and the outer edges of the arches and the tops of the window columns are decorated with carved lines, which are smooth and exquisitely crafted.

Today's old street has been developed into a characteristic commercial street, selling various goods, and you can also eat various local delicacies such as spicy snails, shrimp cakes, pig's trotter noodles, etc. Strolling on the old street, you can also feel a different kind of market atmosphere: the elderly humming tunes while shaking a palm fan on a recliner, residents gathering together to eat, chat, play cards, etc., all of which can become the subject of photographers' lenses.

A map of the old street leading to the sea is too beautiful! Walking on the old street, the streets are full of flowers 🌺! The old buildings with arcades are neatly arranged! The nights here are lively 🎉! People come and go, feeling the strong popularity!
In the morning, there are few people on the old street, and almost no tourists walking around, it's quite quiet. On both sides of the street are groups of art students who come to sketch 🎨 (It's not recommended to go in the morning, as many shops are not open, but if you like quietness, you can go in the morning~)
The snacks and fruit drinks on the old street are super abundant 🍽️: shrimp cakes, spicy snails, pig's trotter noodles, fresh coconut juice 🥥, Cantonese desserts... the prices are all quite lovely, and there are delicacies like oysters waiting for you to taste!
There are also many quaint shops 🏪, with lots of special little commodities inside, where you can buy some souvenirs to take home 🎁! The mottled marks of time, the worldly atmosphere. Between the clusters of buildings at the end of the alley is the sea, where you can vaguely see ships passing by in the distance, and the nearshore life is within reach.
Every old city has its stories, every old street has its future.

🚉Travel tips: You can choose high-speed train or self-driving
🏨Hotel environment: The room was booked in advance on Ctrip, and the environment is good. We did not choose to stay by the sea, but in the city center, which is convenient for experiencing the local life at night.
🍽Dining recommendations: Beihai big bowl seafood noodles, pig's trotters noodles, shrimp cakes, etc. are all highly recommended.
🗓Our itinerary:
1. Beihai Silver Beach: The sea is azure and clear, the sand is soft and white, great for taking photos and playing, but the storage lockers are really expensive.
2. Beihai Old Street: A variety of delicious foods, the streets are quaint and charming, giving off a feeling like in the movies.

Unique and charming Beihai City, with a slow and charming rhythm, the fiftieth day of self-driving around China
On May 3, 2023, the fiftieth day of self-driving around China, from Lianjiang, Guangdong to Beihai, Guangxi. After resting in Lianjiang for three days, we perfectly avoided the May Day holiday and saved a lot of money, secretly pleased.
Beihai Silver Beach, a must-visit place in Beihai, has a wide beach and fine, soft and white sand. It is known as the first beach in China and is suitable for swimming for about 9 months each year. Walking on the beach just after the tide has receded, even footprints will not be left, only the delicate white sand is shining in the sun. Another feature of Beihai Silver Beach is its length, about 24 kilometers long, such a long beach is rare in the world. The Beihai Silver Beach Scenic Area seen by tourists is just a part of the entire Silver Beach. The landmark building of the Silver Beach is called 'Tide', which is a large sphere and also the first music fountain in Asia. The sea is like this, full of magic, making people yearn for it.
Beihai Old Street was built in 1883. It is a nearly two hundred-year-old street, 1.44 kilometers long and 9 meters wide. The buildings on both sides of the street are unique arcade-style buildings. There are both Chinese-style flying eaves and Western-style carved window lattices, combining Chinese and Western styles. It witnessed the prosperity of Beihai in the past, and now it has become a commercial street. There are pharmacies, wine shops, tea houses, etc. on the street, and you can also taste local delicacies such as spicy snails, shrimp cakes, and pig's feet powder.
Beihai Overseas Chinese Harbor Style Street is the most popular snack street, mainly featuring Beihai and Vietnamese snacks. There are not many tourists who check in to the Overseas Chinese Harbor Style Street during the day. Starting from dusk, the flow of people gradually increases. At meal times, the street is crowded with people. Some internet-famous shops have long queues. Even if you simply buy a shrimp cake, you may have to queue for 10 to 20 minutes. But a reminder, if you are not familiar with here, be careful to avoid pits.
The natural environment of Beihai is very beautiful, with fresh air and pure water quality, which is very suitable for various outdoor activities. It is a romantic city. The pace of life here is relatively slow, making people feel very comfortable and quiet.
