🇪🇸Radiant Ronda🇪🇸 ✨Many tourist guides will tell you the Ronda bullring is the oldest and largest in Spain, but our tourist guide told us, in fact the story is confusing. The bullring only has seating for 5,000 spectators, hardly the largest in the world. But, it does have the rueda, which is the large round circle of sand and is the largest in the world at a diameter of 66m. This makes it 6m larger than Spain’s biggest bullring, the Plaza Toros Las Ventas in Madrid.It is also the oldest bullring constructed entirely in stones. ✨The Romero family was the most famous bullfighting family of Ronda, providing over three generations of bullfighters. 🇪🇸Radiant Ronda🇪🇸 The massive bullring in Ronda is so stunning and so beautiful❤️ ✨The Plaza de Toros de Ronda is famous for being the oldest bullring in Spain. Construction was originally finished in 1784 but because of an inaugural bullfighting event that year resulted in a partial damage, it closed for repairs until it was finally completed in 1785. It has a Royal Box reserved for the Spanish Royal Family to watch the bullfighting. ✨By virtue of its architecture, character and beauty, it is recognized as one of the finest bullrings in existence. ✨Built in monumental style from sandstone, its noble design, featuring a double gallery of arcades and no uncovered seating, is more reminiscent of a cloister than a bullring, bearing similarities to the circular patio of the famous Palacio de Carlos V at the Alhambra in Granada. The arena itself, which is 66 metres in diameter, is surrounded by a passage formed by two stone rings. The two stories of seating consist of five rows of terracing and 136 columns forming 68 Tuscan column arches, with the exception of the Royal Box, which features fluted columns, floral decorative motifs on its pendentives and a frieze adorned with rosettes. The Journey through England, Ireland, Spain, and Portugal (18) 'The City in the Sky' and 'The White Town' 2024.6.22 (Saturday) Seville-Granada Weather: Cloudy, 13-33 degrees. We couldn't make it to the Spanish Square yesterday, but with the tour leader's coordination, we successfully checked in at the square this morning (Picture 1). Enjoying the splendid Spanish sunshine, the temperature difference between morning and evening is huge, like two different seasons. Today we left Seville and headed to Granada via Ronda, mostly driving on mountain roads. Around noon, we arrived in Ronda for a visit. Ronda, known as 'The City in the Sky' (Picture 2), is located in the hinterland of the Malaga province at an altitude of over 700 meters. This small town, born in the Roman Empire era and developed during the Arab invasion era, has its old town perched on a cliff with a hundred meters of height difference, offering a breathtaking and magnificent view (Picture 3). The famous Puente Nuevo (also known as the New Bridge, Picture 4), rebuilt in the mid-18th century, spans a 98-meter-high gorge on both sides, with the Guadalevín River flowing towards Seville at the bottom of the valley. It is a vital thoroughfare between the old and new towns and one of Ronda's most iconic landmarks. The Ronda bullring (Picture 5), with a diameter of 66 meters, is one of the oldest bullrings in Spain, built in 1785. Ronda is known as the birthplace of modern stand-up bullfighting, and it has seen two glorious bullfighting families, Romero and Ordóñez. The town is peaceful and simple, as if it naturally grew out of the surrounding cliffs. Today is the weekend, and there are even more visitors here. After lunch, we drove nearly a hundred kilometers and continued along the mountain roads, reaching an altitude of over a thousand meters, to the town of Mijas built on the hillside (Picture 6). Mijas, an Arab-style tourist town, is known as 'The White Town', 'The Romantic Town', and one of 'Spain's Top Ten Beautiful Towns'. Walking on the clean streets, the buildings around are all white (Picture 7), with bright flowers and individual decorations, exuding a strong romantic atmosphere (Picture 8). The town faces the Mediterranean Sea and looks across to Melilla in North Africa (Picture 9). With a suitable climate, bright sunshine, and well-equipped commercial facilities, it has become a tourist and leisure vacation destination. In the evening, we arrived in Granada to stay, and tomorrow we will visit a famous attraction here before heading to Toledo.

Ronda: Death in the Afternoon - The Earliest Elopement Destination
In Ernest Hemingway's novel "The Sun Also Rises", it is written: "If you want to go to Spain for your honeymoon or elope with someone, Longda is the most suitable place, Every cityscape within reach is a romantic scenery..." ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ This is the origin of the elopement rumor, But the beautiful scenery of Longda, with its blue sky and white houses, and the fragrance of flowers all around, along with its secluded features of rare visitors and the sound of silence in the empty valley, are all inseparable from romance. Accompanying each other for a walk in the quiet streets and alleys, peeking down at the towering cliffs beneath our feet, occasionally capturing memories of love between the lush green grass and flowers under the wooden windows and white walls with the shutter, just thinking about it is very exciting. Like a dangerous honeymoon, Mysterious and affectionate. 🚗🚗 How to get there?? We departed from Malaga and took a bus, which took more than two hours. You can check the schedule online. It runs every day and apparently you can also depart from Seville, but it's a bit further. On the way back, take a ride-sharing service in the scenic area, the whole journey is on the highway, and the scenery is super beautiful. (This is more recommended as it is worry-free and effortless.) 📷📷 How long are you going to stroll? Personally, I think half a day is enough time. The town is not very big, but it's easy to get lost. If you have enough time, you can sit down and have some food and afternoon tea, and stay for a day. Longda is suitable for slow walking and taking pictures slowly.
