Getting There - I got a private driver for the day and he took me to the citadel , funny thing is I had to go there all on my own 😊, it was the most beautiful time there and met a few girls who wanted to take a picture and we sure did . Attractions - Citadel history , views of Coptic Cairo and you get to walk in the most beautiful mosque that has been standing for a very long time . Hotels - I was staying at Al Masa and it was close to the Citadel. Food & Restaurants - You can buy some water and snacks inside the Citadel . I hope that you enjoy your time here , I had the most beautiful experience and the girls coming up to me to take a picture with me was beyond a beautiful moment. I travelled solo to Egypt and I’m beyond happy with my experience.

Citadel is a place that you can’t miss if you are in the city of Cairo. This place is not located in down town, however It can be reached easily by taxi or public transport. The recommended sightseeing time is between one to two hours. It has commanding views of the city, and you can see the Pyramids in the far distance on a decent day. I strongly recommend to visit this place during the day and during the night time, the lights makes the whole place to look stunning.
