Mauritius Casela | Off-roading in Africa.
| Off-roading in Africa. 📍I joined a day tour in Mauritius, the route was Volcano Crater, Chamarel Waterfall, Ship Model Factory, Seven Colored Earth, and Casela Nature Park 4WD.
🌟 Deer Cave Volcano Crater. It is located on the top of Black River Mountain in the central mountainous area of Mauritius. It is a dormant volcano🌋. The volcano crater is a round depression in the middle, surrounded by dense vegetation. As soon as we got off the car, the super fresh air came on, and the temperature was cool and pleasant. But if this is a scenic spot, it feels far worse than our Chinese scenic spots.
🌟 Chamarel Waterfall is the largest waterfall in Mauritius and also the location of the movie "Jurassic Park"🦕. It is hard to imagine that this small waterfall is the largest waterfall in Mauritius. It is a small witch compared to our Huangguoshu Waterfall and Jiuzhaigou Waterfall.
🌟 The ship model factory is the largest ship model production place in Mauritius. The hand-made ship models here are atmospheric and exquisite, and the price is not cheap. A Victoria is about 3,000 yuan, and there are more expensive ones. I don't have this kind of collection hobby, so I just look at it.
🌟 The Seven Colored Earth is the national treasure of Mauritius. The volcanic lava undergoes chemical changes after being exposed to light, so seven colors of soil are formed. This is a signboard-style attraction in Mauritius, and almost every tourist will come to visit. But to be honest, this kind of landform is everywhere in our northwest. There is a small garden next to the Seven Colored Earth, where there are several huge hundred-year-old tortoises🐢.
🌟 On the way to lunch, I passed a beautiful sea, which is Moon Island.
‼️ Casela Nature Adventure Park is the focus of the day's play. It is a super large wildlife park, like a miniature version of Kenya. I booked a 4WD project. Before departure, the coach will let everyone line up to enter a wheel-built curved track test site, open 3 laps, and pass the test to go on the road. If it fails, you can only change seats before and after the test, and if it fails, you can only separate 2 people and let the coach drive you to sit behind.
On the way, you can see antelopes, ostriches, wild boars, tortoises, sika deer, zebras and other animals, but you can't see lions and leopards. They are in another area where 4WD will not pass. There is also a silly ostrich pecking at our steering wheel all the time. After the 2-hour 4WD is over, you can go to the staff to see the photos, and you can buy them if you need them.

Paradise Hometown | Vanilla Island's Third Stop: Mauritius
Mauritius, the third stop of the Vanilla Islands. 🇲🇺 Mark Twain once wrote, 'God created Mauritius first, then created heaven according to the landscape of Mauritius.' This statement is largely true. Here you can find world-famous fine sandy beaches, crystal-clear blue waters, luxurious resorts, jungles, and mountains. ⛰️ You can go jungle trekking and bird chasing on a bike, or whale watching by sea, and experience world-class snorkeling and diving. You can also take a boat tour to admire the beautiful islands. 🏝 Or stroll through the colonial-style plantations and beautiful botanical gardens. China is visa-free for here~🪪
📍 West Coast of Mauritius:
This area has the most diverse coastlines in the country. Considered to come from the old Dutch name 'Fried Landt Flaak' (Free Flat Land), it is the local bustling tourist center: Flic en Flac. There are many good diving centers here, suitable for all seasons. The underwater rock formations and large schools of fish make this a world-class diving destination. The steep drop-off rock formations at the edge of the blue-green lagoon are the best diving spots.
📍 Tamarin:
Whales and dolphins roam in the nearby open waters~ There is also the Casela Nature Adventure Park, with: large felines, rhinos, giraffes, etc.~ You can also enjoy thrilling sports here: zip-lining, canyon floating, etc. You can get up close and personal with animals on the surrounding tour vehicles.
📍 Rodrigues Island:
This is a self-admiring small volcanic island where you can take a boat to communicate with giant sea turtles, visit the Tamarin Saturday market, and dive and snorkel on the south coast or at Saint Francois. 🤿
📍 Black River Gorges:
The largest park in Mauritius, a precious protected area of wild forest. It is very suitable for hiking, and it's only half an hour away from the beach. ⌚️
📍 Chamarel:
A tranquil and peaceful countryside with the famous rum production area and the seven-colored earth formed by uneven cooling of lava. There is also the vertical Chamarel waterfall. 🌊
📍 Ile aux Aigrettes:
Preserving the most primitive appearance of the continent from five centuries ago, there are many native species on the brink of extinction, such as ebony, wild orchids, pink pigeons, and Aldabra giant tortoises. 🐢
📍 Eureka:
The Creole-style architecture from the 1830s is a museum that takes you back to the glorious era of the Mauritian plantation industry and learn about local history and culture. 📖
📍 Le Morne Mountain:
The towering Le Morne Mountain. Located above the famous underwater waterfall landscape, climbing 500 meters up the mountain allows you to see the colorful coral reefs and the endless coral sea~ You can also see the national flower—the Trochetia. 🌲
📍 Red Roof House:
The red-roofed church, built by the French, is sea-facing with a seamless sky, and many newlyweds choose to witness their ceremony here. Jordan Chan and Cherrie Ying also had their ceremony here~
This is definitely a good place to go~💌

The seven-colored soil is the most famous attraction in Mauritius. Walking along the road, you can reach the place where I dream. I have some homesickness. I heard that this land is very small. Is it because it was too beautified by TV when I was a child? Photographing on a cloudy day has always been my weakness. If I saw it, what about the pile of red clay? When I saw the seven-colored soil with my own eyes, I was a big sigh of relief. It was not too small here. I walked around it for one kilometer. The color of the soil is clearly visible, and even in a rainy environment, you can see the fascinating brilliance of yellow, scorpion, purple, red, and orange.
Yoki Huang.
The seven-colored soil of Mauritius is one of the landmarks of this island country. The seven-color soil is real dreams. The size of the mound is not large. It is a small slope of high and low ups and downs. The shape looks like a wave of air instantly solidified. The grass is not born on the mound, although the words and the rainbow are generally "seven colors", but the color of the mound is mainly dark - pink, maroon, light purple, deep purple, light blue, brown, etc., all kinds of colors intertwined in Together, it is like a person who knocked over a paint tray on a mound, completely a dreamlike place in a fairy tale.
The scientific principle is to be studied because the mud from the volcanic eruption is rich in minerals, and after oxidative discoloration in the air, it forms seven-color soil. There are legends that even if the soil of various colors is mixed together, as long as a heavy rain, it will be arranged according to the color - if it is true, this is somewhat similar to the principle of the layering of the red bean mung bean, quite magical.
PS: The small shop next to the seven-color soil sells a small gift of seven-color soil sample in a similar test tube. We asked local friends, he said that it was actually done by hand. Because of the rain, the area of seven-color soil has been reduced year by year, and it has been strictly protected. It will not be sampled and sold, but it does not matter if these small gifts are bought to commemorate.
