Chiang Mai's largest night zoo, Night Safari
-Whether it's dusk or night, you can see a rare group of animals, fully protected, safe and sound
-134 species, 1400 large and small animals, including many endangered species, will definitely open your eyes
If you don't want to sleep at night, it's best to go to the zoo to see tigers, elephants, rhinos and other animals, to see if they sleep well, it should be an experience you haven't had. Ride the tram, with a yellow light on the roof, you can see sleepwalking giraffes, hippos talking in their sleep, lazy bears lying on the trees like sloths, clouded leopards that look like leopards but are actually tigers, and silly alpacas. It takes about an hour to go around, and you dare not speak loudly along the way. When large animals pass by sleepily, you gasp, but it's really rare to watch large wild animals up close. After watching, all the sleep bugs have run away, and you can go to the park to enjoy the novel and interesting shows, which are eye-opening

Amazing animals in Chiang Mai
The Chiang Mai Zoo is surprisingly interesting, even if it isn't the first thing that comes to mind when most people think of the city. Chiang Mai Zoo is well worth a visit, especially if you've had your fill of temples, as it spans 200 acres in the foothills of Doi Suthep and offers excellent views of the city as well as exciting wildlife exhibits.
Elephants, tigers, chimps, hippopotami, and rhinoceroses are among the over 400 animal species preserved at the Chiang Mai Zoo. The zoo also has some fantastic special features, such as a walk-through aviary and a beautiful freshwater aquarium and many more.

🌟Highlights: The Chiang Mai Night Safari is especially suitable for taking children to at night. Many of the herbivorous animals in the night safari can be fed small foods like carrots, allowing children to interact closely with the animals, which is very helpful in fostering a love for the environment and nature in children. The small animal performances in the park are also very entertaining for children. 85% of parents with children recommend a visit, because 'everything here is leisurely and relaxed, yet perfectly interesting for the kids.'
📌Little Tips:
1. Don't sit under the performance poles, as animal saliva might drip on your head, haha
2. After watching the animal performance, staff with boxes will be around for tips; it's up to you whether to give.
3. The walking area is better for observing animals during the day, which is beneficial for children to learn about animal behavior
4. The Chinese commentary on the tour vehicle is just a mention of what animal it is, followed by an English description, which is good for children to practice listening, haha.

Chiang Mai Zoo
If you are visiting Chiang Mai, you must visit the Chiang Mai Zoo. The variety of animals here is very rich, especially there are some unique animal species in Southeast Asia to watch, which is very interesting. The Asian elephant is impressive, and you can also get close to many herbivores. Giraffes can also be watched closely, the experience is very good, I quite like it, you can buy food to feed parrots, deer, cows, elephants~ Be sure to buy unlimited times of sightseeing cars or rent golf carts, walking will be a bit tired, because it is very big here.

Chiang Mai Zoo
A wonderful morning or afternoon activity for the whole family, I would say 3-4 hours is sufficient. They have many types of animals, and the enclosures are, for the most part, quite large. You can feed the giraffes and deer. There is also a winter land at extra cost inside. The park is large so there is a tram you can take. There are many little shops and a restaurants, there is a library and small conservation museum along the way too.
Entrance: 150 baht (adult) 70 baht (child)
Tram unlimited use: 70 baht (adult) 50 baht (child)
Water park: 500 baht
Happy Exploring 😊

Is Chiang Mai, Thailand worth visiting?
I am delighted to share my travel experience in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Chiang Mai is a city located in the northern part of Thailand, known for its temples, cuisine, and cultural activities. During my trip, I explored the attractions in the city center and surrounding areas, and tried the local food and cultural activities.
Day 1: Arrive in Chiang Mai.
I flew from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, with a flight time of about one and a half hours. When I arrived at Chiang Mai airport, I rented a small motorcycle and prepared to start my journey. After checking in at a hotel near the city center, I visited the Chiang Mai Old City located in the city center. There are many temples and historical buildings here, and I really like the atmosphere and culture here. I visited the Chiang Mai Night Market and bought some local handicrafts and souvenirs. At night, I tried some local cuisine in the city center, including fried spring rolls and stir-fried rice noodles.
Day 2: Temple and cultural activities
The next morning, I visited one of the most famous temples in Chiang Mai - Wat Rong Khun. There are many beautiful golden towers and sculptures here, which are very spectacular. Then, I went to the nearby Chiang Mai Zoo and saw some unique Thai animals, including elephants and tigers. In the afternoon, I attended a local cooking class and learned how to make Thai cuisine at a traditional Thai farm. I learned how to make some traditional dishes, such as green curry and Thai fried rice.
Day 3: Elephant Camp and Waterfall
On the third day, I went to an elephant camp near Chiang Mai and participated in elephant riding and feeding activities. I also went to a nearby waterfall, where there was clear water and beautiful scenery. In the evening, I participated in the local night flower lantern festival and saw many gorgeous lanterns and candles.
Day 4: Exploring the outskirts of Chiang Mai.
On the morning of the fourth day, I rode a motorcycle to a small village in the suburbs of Chiang Mai. There are many local handicraft shops and restaurants here, and I bought some specialty products such as textiles and wooden crafts. In the afternoon, I went to a floating market where I saw many locals selling fruits, vegetables, seafood, and handicrafts on boats. It was a very interesting experience, and I enjoyed cruising along the canal and exploring the local culture.
Day 5: Hiking and hot springs.
On the fifth day, I participated in a hiking activity to the mountains around Chiang Mai. There are many beautiful landscapes and natural scenery here, and I also saw some wild animals such as monkeys and birds. In the afternoon, I went to a hot spring to relax. There are many pools of spring water with different temperatures here, which makes people feel very comfortable.
Day 6: The last day.
On the sixth day, it was my last day in Chiang Mai. I visited a famous handicraft market where there were many local handicrafts such as lacquerware and pottery. I also went to a local café and tasted local coffee and desserts. In the evening, I attended a traditional Thai dance performance, which was a very exciting show showcasing Thai culture and art.
Finally, I left Chiang Mai and returned to Bangkok. I was deeply impressed by this trip and grateful for Thailand's beautiful scenery, rich culture, and delicious food. I hope to have the opportunity to come back to this beautiful city again and continue to explore and discover.

A very big and spacious zoo surrounded by the steps of Doi Suthep. There are trams available if the walking is too strenuous. It will take about a good 3-5 hours if you wander around the entire zoo. Great way to spend an afternoon or morning ....Zoo closes at 5pm. There are available golf carts to rent as well. Some of the animals such as the big cats seems to be on the frail side. There is a Panada exhibit if that's your thing.

Chiang Mai Zoo is huge. They have pandas, penguins, koalas, and a huge aquarium. The zoo area is large and is spread across hilly terrain. They provide tram inside which is chargeable. If you don't want to get all exhausted walking up the hill, it would be strongly suggested you buy the hop in hop off ticket of the tram. Most of the animal sections get closed by 4 PM, thus it would be advisable to visit around 12 so that you don't miss on anything. A typical visit will take around 2-3 hours to cover the entire zoo #wintergetaway
