A must-visit place, very beautiful scenery, professional staff, and the overall attention to detail is amazing! They really go the extra mile to delight their guests.
Free entry, free wifi are a genius ideas to attract people, and it is very difficult not to buy anything ☺️
You can get all sorts of 🪻 lavender-related products here. Very lovely place to wander round. We visited late October and there were still some flowers to view although not much lavender. Shops selling all things lavender and a cafe attached too with simple meals, melon and lavender ice cream.

Beutiful Flowers & More At Farm Tomita
Farm tomita is one of the largest farms in Furano and a day here is never enough. In fact, my family and I loved Fram tomita so much we spent hours and couldn't bear to leave it. Farm tomita has huge flower fields and these flowers were so pretty and they were of different colours and types. Then, there's also a large lavender field, which was a sea of purple and calming lavender flowers. The whole place smells heavenly and relaxing with the lavender scent filling up the whole air. Do buy their famous lavender ice cream, I guarantee you will love it. The special lavender ice cream was milky with a hint of lavender taste and it was a great dessert in the summer heat. Next head over to their melon fields and there is a cafe next to it selling their popular melons and melon ice blended drink. The melon was sweet, juicy and refreshing and it was the same for the drink. They were the best melon and drink I have ever tasted! Overall, love the atmosphere and experience at farm tomita. We will definitely be back here again!

Hokkaido's breathtaking field
Farm Tomita is one of Hokkaido’s largest tourist attraction site. It has various beautiful flower fields including the 5-hectare lavender field and other flower gardens. The lavender flowers were almost gone when we visited.
The best time to visit Farm Tomita is in late June to early August. During this time the flowers in the garden will be in bloom and a colorful sight can be experienced.
Farm Tomita is a 25-minute walk from JR Furano Station. There is a special “Furano-Biei Norokko-go” train that runs between Asahikawa and Furano from June to mid-September. The train stops at the special station Lavender Farm Station, which is a 7-minute walk to Farm Tomita. You can also take a taxi but it's difficult to find one.

#Perfect place to visit in summer.
Farm Tomita is one of Hokkaido’s largest tourist attraction site that brings in over 1 million people annually from all over Japan and the world. Lavender blooms from late June to early August. The vibrant purple scenery sprawled across Furano is a sign of early summer for Hokkaido.Sadly, I came here too late and didn't see the lavender.
At Farm Tomita, there are a variety of flowers grown other than lavenders. A pleasant view is offered throughout the seasons with various flowers. At the entrance of the farm is the Hanabito Field.
When Hokkaido finally enters spring in May, grape hyacinth and viola start to bloom. From early supper to autumn red and yellow flowers such as marigold and silver cock’s comb start to fill the fields.
*Access -It is a 25-minute walk from JR Furano Station to Farm Tomita. Also from June to mid-September the special “Furano-Biei Norokko-go” train runs between Asahikawa and Furano. The train stops at the special station Lavender Farm Station, which is a 7-minute walk to Farm Tomita.
Furano and Tomita Farm Day Tour
It was a nice tour. Tips for those taking this tour, wear shoes. Your feet will get really dirty. Bring also something to wipe your face with. During our trip, it was very windy and dusty. Our white shoes/ sandals turned brown 😅 the flowers are beautiful, but expect a lot of people.
The tour guide is good, but I found it hard to understand his English. His main language is Chinese and Japanese.
For the buffet lunch, it was just a regular lunch/menu, only buffet style. The melons are sweet, not so sure if they are really the expensive ones.

This sea of flowers can be seen during the Summer in Ciba, Prefecture, #Japan. It is said to be the most famous sightseeing farm in Japan, having lots of attraction inside the actual farm. It is so huge that it is necessary to ride a bus while touring inside. It was lots of fun. We saw cows, thousands of flowers, and sheeps!

When we arrived at Furano from Otaru, all we saw were bare or green fields. Our expectations were not high so we were extremely delighted to see brightly coloured flowers at Farm Tomita. Rows and rows of neatly planted flowers in rainbow hues greeted us. It is the first time we have seen such a colourful field. The place is huge and colorful with many kinds of flowers. Better spend more time there. I believe most of the time should be crowd with tourists. Parking was adequate in the vicinity and there were cafes selling lavender ice cream and souvenir stores. It is just next to the Melon place .

This place is easy to access with ample parking. The colours of the lavendar were just amazing. However, it was really crowded. But nevertheless one should visit.
There were quite a few shops and eateries on location too.

Hokkaido Furano - Tomita Farm, Must-Try Lavender Ice Cream
In early June on a weekday afternoon, there was already a very large crowd, and the number may double or more once July arrives.
Today, the weather gods have blessed us with superb weather; a lot of flowers have bloomed in early June, and the lavender is already budding, waiting to bloom in July.
The lavender soft-serve ice cream is really delicious, everyone should definitely try one. Additionally, there are Baron potato crepes and cantaloupes available for purchase too~

If you are lucky with the weather, it’s absolutely gorgeous to visit. The rows of colourful flowers, combined with the open sky and distant mountains make it a necessary visit if you’re in Hokkaido.
There are a lot of buses bringing tourists in the summer, so be aware it can get busy, but it didn’t feel cramped when I was outside the buildings.
The ice-cream was delicious (I recommend melon and lavender), just make sure you eat it quickly. It melts very fast in the heat. The farm shops are very beautiful and well decorated, and sell all sorts, including dried flowers, perfumes, decorations and food items.
The closest all-year train station is a 20-25 minute walk away, and only 5 minutes by train from Furano. The melon farm next door is also a necessary visit!
We going there the wrong timing. Left a little flowers only. But still enjoyed the view.

Nice view with lavender and flower farm
Recently, I was in hokkaido and have visited Farm Tomita. It was lavender reason now and I was impressed with all other different flowers blooming there too! The scenery was spectacular. We also tasted their lavender and mixed honey dew ice cream too. There are some souvenirs shops that sell many different scents of soap and lavender essential oil too. To those who loves to buy some may want to buy as a gifts for friends or love ones. #flowerlover
The lavender
of Tomita Farm came here at the end of July for lavender. If it is possible to come in early August, it is very likely that lavender has been harvested. Furano's climate is similar to that of Provence in the south of France, so in 1955 it began to grow lavender to extract flavors. Later, because of the popularity of artificial spices, the farmer who cultivated lavender was drastically reduced, and only Fukuda Tadao of Fukuda Farm was left. Just as he was about to give up, a photographer took pictures of the lavender fields and attracted a large number of tourists to visit.
You can make your own lavender pillows, buy a variety of lavender products, and taste delicious lavender ice cream.
Although it can be seen from the photos that this flower field is not large, so everyone is shooting at the same angle. But really standing there still feels the beauty of dreams.
