🌿 Summer is the most beautiful season on the prairie! If possible, come to Hulunbuir from mid-June to mid-August~ Of course, the autumn scenery from late August to September is also good
🚘 It is recommended to rent a car or join a small group, preferably an off-road vehicle, to take more niche routes, climbing over mountains and crossing prairies/wetlands~ Like these niche photo spots of mine, probably only our guides know the locations
🔆 The temperature difference between day and night on the prairie is significant, so even in summer, bring a coat to avoid catching a cold. Prepare for both sunny and rainy weather with an umbrella, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen
🍖 In Hulunbuir, you can enjoy Northeastern Chinese cuisine/Mongolian meals/Russian meals, barbecue, hot pot, Northeastern stew, roasted whole lamb, lamb chops, hand-grabbed meat, milk tofu, milk tea... This is a paradise for foodies~
🏨 You can experience staying in a Mongolian yurt and Russian-style log cabins🏡 You can also camp on the prairie🏕️ Accompanied by fireworks and a bonfire, fall asleep under the starry sky
📸 For sisters who love to take photos, bring all kinds of dresses, 👗 white, yellow, blue, pink all look great in photos! The phone can actually take very beautiful pictures~ If you have a camera, a 24-200mm lens is perfectly sufficient!
Just came back from Inner Mongolia, but my heart is still on the prairie💕
Those who want to go can ask me – I'll tell you everything I know!
Come to the prairie! Take a break for yourself!

InternationalJetsetter#22 Hulunbuir Travel Guide | Hulunbuir Car Rental Service
🚗Transportation Guide:
Airplane✈️: Flying to Hailar is cheaper and more convenient than to Manzhouli. If there's no direct flight, fly to Harbin first, then take a train to Hailar, which is cost-effective!
🚗Local Transportation Guide:
Car rental is the first choice! Because Hulunbuir is vast with attractions far apart, and there are many natural roads, you must find a reliable local driver!
🌸Food Recommendations:
🍛Lubulishi Restaurant: Truly the pinnacle of Russian cuisine, a favorite among locals, available in both Hailar and Manzhouli
🍵Nomintala Milk Tea House: A great place for Mongolian milk tea, be sure to order a pot of tea, which is a salty milk tea with added fried rice, beef jerky, and other 'small ingredients'
🍲Junxiangyuan Hotpot: A Hulunbuir hotpot restaurant, the ingredients are their own mushrooms and beef and mutton from their grasslands, be sure to try the West Banner lamb and brisket
🍦Tieshan Ice Cream: Ice cream made from fresh prairie milk, rich and creamy, reasonably priced
⚠️⚠️⚠️You must try Hulunbuir beef and mutton!
🌸Hulunbuir Grassland: As far as the eye can see, there's a sea of grass with herds of cattle and sheep leisurely grazing, as if you're in a painting
🌸Hailar: The seat of Hulunbuir's municipal government, you have to go to Hailar first to get to Hulunbuir
🌸Morin Dawa River: A beautiful place to capture the sunset🌇, at dusk, the river seems to be gilded with gold
🌸Reindeer Park: You can see reindeer in the birch forest, or choose to visit Aoluguya
🌸Shiwei: A beautiful border town just a river away from Russia, the homeland of Genghis Khan, where you can gaze at Russia from the border river
🌸Border Highway: Travel along the border, play while you go, and look across at Russian towns! You can cross the grasslands, ride horses, go karting, watch the sunset, and enjoy a bonfire party at night

☝️Mosquito repellent, ID card, some cash, daily food for the kiddo (such as baby food), sunscreen (🎩sunscreen cream/spray, sun-protective clothing🕶️), toiletry bag, insulation pad (it's not good for the baby to drink raw water directly, try to bring boiled water), lip balm (it's quite dry, to prevent chapping)

🏞 Accommodation Guide
⭕️ Hailar Accommodation
If you are traveling independently, it is recommended to stay near the Hailar train station. This makes travel convenient, as it is easy and inexpensive to take a taxi within the city.
⭕️ Manzhouli Accommodation
Hotels in the Manzhouli city area are a bit old. The Matryoshka Hotel is not really recommended during the peak tourist season, as it's too expensive and not cost-effective. It is suggested to choose a Russian-style hotel for a good experience at a reasonable price.
⭕️ Heishantou Accommodation
Heishantou is mainly Mongolian yurts. When booking, make sure to compare prices, as they can vary greatly. Definitely book in advance during the peak season.
⭕️ Shiwei Accommodation
Shiwei accommodations are typically wooden houses, with generally basic conditions but quite characteristic.
✈️ Transportation Guide
① Hailar Dongshan Airport: 13 kilometers from the city center, a 10-minute airport shuttle ride will get you to the city, and it departs as soon as it's full, which is very convenient.
② Manzhouli West Suburb Airport: Manzhouli Airport does not have an airport shuttle, and taxis generally do not use meters. The one-way fare between the airport and the city center ranges from 30 to 50 yuan.
③ Hailar Railway Station: You can choose to first take a train or plane to Harbin or Beijing, and then from Beijing or Harbin take a train to Hailar.

⭕Do not shout or scream while riding a horse, as not to startle the horses and also do not walk
⭕Do not walk behind a horse and slap it, to avoid being kicked
⭕There are many oboos on the grassland, do not climb them at will, as they are sacred altars used by the Mongolian people for worshiping spirits!
⭕Make sure to bring mosquito repellent, otherwise the buzzing in your head will be really uncomfortable
⭕Be sure to wear comfortable sneakers or sports shoes, white shoes get dirty easily, and do not wear slippers as you might get cuts from the grass
⭕Do not go alone to places far from your lodging, as there are few road signs on the grassland and the signal is sometimes good, sometimes bad, making it easy to lose your way
⭕It is forbidden to fly drones near the border card line, there are many warning signs, do not enter the minefield, otherwise, your drone will be confiscated and there will be trouble!
⭕Do not trust illegal taxi drivers at airports or train stations, there is no safety guarantee, and there is no formal contract

✅ Travel item preparation
Hulunbuir is at a high latitude, with large temperature differences between day and night, strong sunlight on the grasslands, strong winds, and variable weather
So be sure to prepare sunscreen, a thicker coat or sweater, and an umbrella!
There's often no signal on the grasslands, so download offline maps ahead of time. Personally, I feel that the telecom network signal is slightly better than mobile in the grasslands
I'm planning to travel to Hulunbuir this summer vacation, and the strategy is all set. Sisters 👭 who want to come can also play according to this!
