Let's explore the history and culture of Jilin City together
Let's explore the history and culture of Jilin City together.
The first stop (Jilin City Manchu Museum)
This is a national third-level museum, belonging to the social science category of ethnic topics. It is located in the only remaining well-preserved Qing Dynasty Siheyuan (courtyard house) residence of Wang Baichuan, built in 1932. Wang Baichuan was a local wealthy merchant during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, who donated a large sum of money to build the first highway bridge over the Songhua River, the Jilin Bridge.
Empress Dowager Cixi once sent a convoy of 50 carriages to borrow money from him.
Inside the museum gate, a huge stone stands with a bronze falcon ready to take flight.
The museum is divided into seven main exhibition halls: the Preface Hall, Manchu Traditional Folk Customs, Land of Dragon Prosperity, Dashing Ula General Office and its Tribute, Artistic Essence, Jilin Ula Manchu Culture, and the Xiketeli Clan Shamanic Sacrificial Hall. There are more than two thousand exhibits, including 35 national-level cultural relics. Admission: Free
Summer: 9-12 am 1:00-4:30 pm Winter: 9-11:30 am 1:00-4:00 pm
Located next to Beishan Park, the courtyard is not large, and it takes about fifteen minutes to tour. It's a good spot for checking in and taking photos.

Jilin's most mysterious niche museum
Jilin Manchu Museum
✔️ Jilin was originally named Jilin Ula, where 'Ula' means river in Manchu. This place is one of the birthplaces and gathering areas of the Manchu people.
✔️ The museum is converted from an old mansion, which is a well-preserved Qing Dynasty residence, not in a modern building. You start your visit from the left side of the entrance and go clockwise, with a total of 7 exhibition halls.
✔️ The most mysterious part is the shamanic ritual section, which has a complete collection of attire and sacrificial items, very rare in China.
✔️ Here you can also learn about the four empresses born in Jilin.
🚗 Beishan Park parking lot

Jilin City~ The city with the lowest expectations, but it gave me the biggest surprise
🌺Jilin City is really fun!
🛫Location: Jilin City, Jilin Province
🚗Transportation: Jilin Station
🌺For my trip to the Northeast, I chose to fly from Longjia Airport and reserved 1 day. I originally wanted to go to Changchun, but I heard from my colleagues that Jilin is more fun, so I decisively chose Jilin.
🌺Overall experience: It is the city with the lowest expectations, but it gave me the biggest surprise‼️‼️So I strongly recommend this city that is not famous but very worthwhile.
🌺Accommodation: It is recommended to choose to stay in Changyi District, which is close to many attractions and there are many places to eat.
🌺Travel: The biggest feeling from Changbai Mountain to Jilin is that the taxi has finally returned to normal, and you can get a taxi wherever you go! And most of the taxi fares are less than 10 yuan.
Food recommendation:
✋Fengfeng Restaurant: Recommend Snow Clothes Red Bean and Stir-fried Mixed Vegetables
✋Qianyi Wula Manchu Hot Pot: Copper pot hot pot, I personally think it is much better than Beijing hot pot, and the meat is super large, their pickled fruit is free, and it is very fresh, and the plum juice is also free, almost the same as bought in other restaurants.
✋Xinxing Garden: Recommend dumplings, it is said to have been 130 years, it is recommended to go to the shop with three floors.
These three restaurants are randomly selected, strongly recommended, no pitfall! And the cost of living in Jilin is really low, basically each meal is around 100.
Travel route:
1️⃣Ten thousand strands of silver thread: The rime is very good, just take a taxi to the parking lot of ten thousand strands of silver thread, I personally think it is more worthwhile and cost-effective than Rime Island, no tickets are needed, and it is close to the city, and it is also close to other attractions.
‼️‼️It is recommended to pay attention to the Jilin Rime Princess number in advance, and the rime index of various places will be broadcast at 6 o'clock every morning, and you can rush to it with confidence when you reach 5 stars!
2️⃣Beishan Park: A park that is simply too good, it is very photogenic wherever you take pictures, and it feels like you have been to the Summer Palace, the Great Wall, and Shichahai in Beijing at the same time! 0 tickets.
3️⃣Songhua River Railway Bridge: Take a taxi and locate Songtie Xiuyuan, the bridge and the lake in the snow are very beautiful!
4️⃣Manchu Museum: Highly recommended, you can experience the customs and culture of the Manchu
5️⃣Jilin Meteorite Museum: The Meteorite Museum is very good, with a sense of technology, you can visit it, but you need to make an appointment in advance, if you didn't get a ticket the day before, it is recommended to squat on the princess number early the next morning, the other exhibition areas of the Jilin Museum are relatively ordinary, you can skip it if you don't have time.
6️⃣Catholic Church: Remember to locate the Catholic Church by taxi, not the Catholic Church! It is a church building by the river, you can also go to check in
7️⃣Jilin Machine Bureau Site: It retains the modern style of architecture, which looks historical in the snow, it is recommended to check in!
