The hotel has two halls, Boli Building and Tanni Building are not together, be careful not to get off the wrong car. We booked the exquisite suite of Tanni Building, the first building on the right hand side of the lobby is not recommended, because there is a restaurant in front that will block the view, especially on the first floor, you probably can't see anything, the second and third buildings on the right hand side and the two buildings on the left hand side have good views, facing the lawn, swimming pool and the sea, but after the lights are turned on at night, all the rooms on the first floor can be seen clearly, the privacy is not very good.
When checking in, the front desk said that they had changed us to a larger room type, I feel it should not be Tanni Building anymore, it's more on the side, the sea view is on one side, but there will be no guests passing by in front of the building, the privacy is better
Then I didn't encounter any impolite service staff or discrimination against Chinese people, and I didn't get a tail room on the first floor, the service attitude was very good, the explanation of the hotel's facilities was very detailed, and they would smile and greet when met on the road.
The downside is really too damp, I, a Qingdao person, feel damp, the sheets and clothes are particularly sticky; some details in the room feel rough, the decoration is old, the washing and protection are very cheap; there is a small commercial street outside the hotel, with spa, restaurant, 711, but not many, the lively places are quite far away, and the road is narrow and uphill and downhill. There are 6 bars and four restaurants in the hotel, coconut bar is okay, others are average, the restaurant is really not very good; there is also a spa shop, you can also massage on the beach, the aunt will do foot care for you, nail polish only has very Thai fluorescent color haha.
In summary, the scenery is good, better than many hotels in Sanya, during the day the whole lawn and beach are full of sunbathing European and American guests, full of holiday feeling, but if you pursue details, it's not recommended to come

Phuket Vichit Resort The first stop on our Phuket vacation last month with my parents, we chose the Phuket Vichit Resort, which is about a ten-minute drive from the Cape Panwa. The location is in Patong, and the hotel is just across the road from the beach, where you can play with jet skis🛥️ and parasailing, and there are sun loungers for rent. The hotel is very lively outside, with 711 and various restaurants, etc.
The hotel is relatively quiet and the environment is okay. The swimming pool is large, but it is 1.5 meters deep, which is not very suitable for children. The children's playground is too small and only suitable for babies. The breakfast 🍳 is not tasty and not suitable for Chinese stomachs.
Kata Thani (p1-10)
The scenery is really beautiful, and it's great for taking photos. The room I was assigned to was on the more secluded second floor, but I can accept it because there are few people downstairs and it's quieter.
The hotel is really crowded, everywhere there are people, many of them Chinese, and sometimes it feels like dropping dumplings🥟.
I booked the hotel's seacret restaurant for dinner (p8), which is expensive and not very tasty, not to my Chinese taste, and I suggest walking a few minutes outside to eat at the restaurants🍴 recommended by everyone. But the sunset is still pretty (p6-7)
The children's pool is in the Buli building, which is really far away! All swimming pools close at 6 pm! There's nothing to do at night, the public areas are also quite dark, very boring!
The hotel offers massages, which are very suitable for parents with kids. (p1)
In summary, it's worth coming for those who like to take photos! The beach 🏖️ environment is average, the rooms are a bit old and prone to bugs, the breakfast is average, and the pools close too early.

Revisiting the old place, I encountered Kata Thani Beach in Phuket once again
How many 8 years does one have in a lifetime? Just like that, 8 years have passed since my first vacation here at this beach during the Spring Festival holiday of 2015. At that time, it was the Spring Festival holiday, and I had not yet secured my next job. Now, I am revisiting the old place.
Both times I stayed at the Kata Thani Resort Hotel. The hotel is built right on the beach, which is incredibly beautiful, and there are also numerous swimming pools. Since my last visit, the hotel has expanded and added rooms with direct pool access. The hotel service remains as caring and enthusiastic as before.
The only regret is that the breakfast receptionist from before is no longer there. I remember he was very conscientious and meticulous in his work. He could always remember the various requests of the guests clearly. The only flaw was that he consistently made a noticeable grammatical error in English; instead of saying 'two persons', he would insist on saying 'two people'.
There was even a time when he asked a gentleman who came to breakfast in just his swimming trunks to return to his room, firmly stating that one needs to be properly dressed to have breakfast at the hotel.
8 years have passed, times have changed, people are different. I just hope that everyone is doing well.

The hotel is located on Kata Beach and covers a very large area. There are several restaurants inside, offering a variety of dining options. Since I haven't had a formal meal there, I won't comment on that. However, the drink bar by the beach is quite good and not expensive. All expenses at the hotel can be charged to the room account and settled at check-out. They support v❤️, Alipay, and UnionPay card payments! There are also billiard rooms, table tennis rooms, game rooms, and a gym.
The rooms are divided into the Bu Li Building and the Thani Building, which are a certain distance apart, but they are connected and you can take the hotel's shuttle bus back and forth. Both have their own breakfast restaurants, and you can start a beautiful day with breakfast at the seaside restaurant every morning.

The Bu Li Building does not have a sea view but offers pool access rooms. The several pools downstairs have slides and other amusement facilities, which are very suitable for children to play, and there is also a children's center.
The hotel's biggest feature is its long coastline, with a private and clean beach, and free swimming rings, surfboards, and children's sand toys for hotel guests to use. The Thani Building is the sea view room, where you can see the beautiful sunset from the balcony. There are 4 swimming pools downstairs, which are really suitable for a relaxing vacation.

The interior decoration of the rooms is not very luxurious, but they are well-maintained and clean. It is said that they were renovated once in 2012, and I saw that a building next to it was also being renovated during my stay. Each room is equipped with two beach towels that can be taken for swimming or to the beach.
This time I stayed in the exquisite suite of the Thani Building, which was booked for 1100rmb per night including breakfast. I think it's super cost-effective. I spent my days lying on the beach chairs downstairs, sunbathing, swimming in the pool, surfing in the sea, and then watching the sunset. It was incredibly beautiful.

We stayed in Phuket for three nights, two nights at the Amari Hotel + one night at the Kata Thani Resort. Comparing the two, I personally prefer Kata Thani, it might be because it was a bit cloudy when we went to Amari, the private beach looked very ordinary. We only had lunch at Amari among the two hotels, which was mediocre and low cost-effective, it's hard to comment on hotel dining. Overall, both hotels are not disappointing, Kata Thani is better.
Amari Hotel:
We booked a basic room without sea view. The room is American style, we stayed on the top floor 6th floor, slightly damp but acceptable. The room is clean, I prefer hotels with wooden floors over carpets, so the overall impression is good.
Advantages: The private beach is quiet and clean, I don't know if it's because of the weather, the sea looks ordinary. The overall service attitude is very good and enthusiastic.
Disadvantages: The hotel is not big, just two large swimming pools. Transportation is inconvenient, you have to take a taxi when you go out, basically one way is 200 baht.
The overall cost performance is okay, the room rate of more than 1000 per night during the National Day holiday is cost-effective.
Kata Thani Resort:
We booked a sea view room in Thani Building, the view is very very good. There is no obstruction in front, facing the sea, and we asked for the second floor, the room is slightly damp but acceptable.
Maybe the weather was good when we went, the sea was very beautiful, and the resort is relatively large so it's more fun.

My 3-night stay at Katathani Phuket with my family was a wonderful experience that created lasting memories of quality time spent together. From the moment we arrived at the resort, we were struck by the stunning natural beauty that surrounded us.

On our final day at the resort, we spent the morning kayaking along the picturesque coastline, taking in the breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding cliffs. In the afternoon, we indulged in a family spa treatment, which left us feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.
As our time at Katathani Phuket came to a close, we were sad to say goodbye to the friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. We left with a sense of gratitude for the wonderful memories we had created together as a family, and vowed to return to this special place in the future.
