Koh Samet is a pristine forested island next to Bangkok, known as 'Paradise Island'. It features white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and not-to-be-missed sunrises and sunsets. Especially the island's 'Diamond Beach', where the waves sparkle and the cotton-like sand is super comfortable.

• Of course, the food is not to be missed either. The seafood on the island is very fresh, and there are many local snack stalls that are affordable and authentic. Additionally, there are many popular restaurants on the beach where you can enjoy delicious food while listening to the sound of the waves on the soft sandy beach, with torch performances at night 🔥
Moreover, the accommodations here are mostly by the sea, with various types of hotels, homestays, and beach huts, which can basically meet the needs of different groups of people 🏨

If you travel to Thailand and don't come here to play, you will definitely regret it when you return
On the beaches of Koh Samet, the white sand meets the blue sea, and the waves churn under the sunlight, shimmering and breathtakingly beautiful.
We originally planned to go snorkeling🏊, but we didn't prepare enough and missed the boat departure time, which was a bit disappointing.
However, cycling around the island brought us a pleasant surprise!
Renting a motorcycle, feeling the sea breeze on your face, is free and comfortable!🏝️
In the evening, sitting by the sea, watching the sunset sprinkle on the sea, the golden light is intoxicating.🌅

Out Island Day Tour from Ko Samat
600 BAHT per person for a day tour out island.
We waited at one of the shops at the beach at 11am. Took the speed boat 🚤 from the other side of the island.
Firstly, we got on one of the outbound islands for buying the national nature ticket.
Stayed for half an hour and went to the second island for lunch. We spent the time there with some swimming and walking on the floating platform.
Then we got on-board and went to the last island where we did snorkeling for around 2 hours. Kids can also do snorkeling. The tour guide would prepare the snorkeling kits for each person. But bare in mind that do not leave any of the parts on the island because it is violating the nature policy.
At last, we went back at around 4pm. It is a nice experience.

Exotic Island in the East of Thailand 🏝️
Now that the pandemic has cooled down and the strict requirement of presenting an ATK result has been canceled, many travellers will choose Ko Samet or Samet Island as their weekend getaway again.
This island is actually a part of Rayong province not far from the well-known city of Pattaya. It's around 2 hours and 45 minutes drive from Bangkok.
I usually go to Nuanthip Pier at Baan Phe to get a ferry ride to the island. A round trip ticket will cost you 120 baht for the slow boat. But you can choose to go on a shared speed boat ride for 300 baht.
This island has many cool night clubs, but the most popular one should be the iconic Silver Sand Bar at Ao Phai. Go there on a long weekend and you'll see what I mean.

Koh Samet is a picturesque island worth falling in love with - its fine sand, clear, turquoise water, exotic nature, tropical rainfall, especially romantic and cozy. Samet Island in Thailand is striking in its amazing resemblance to a photograph of the Bounty paradise. And most importantly, you can enjoy all this splendor 80 km from Pattaya

Tired of city life? Want to relax and breathe in fresh air? Koh Samet is the perfect place for you. It is avery easy ride or trip to other part of Thailand. How to Get to Koh Samet? You can easily make your own way to the island by taking a public bus, minibus, or private taxi southeast from Bangkok to the Nuan Thip Pier in Ban Phe, just outside of Rayong. The drive takes between 3 – 4 hours, depending on how stupendous Bangkok's traffic is on that particular day. Koh Samet is considerably closer to Bangkok. This makes the island an ideal weekend getaway destination if you need to leave the hustle and bustle of the city for a while and would like to spend time on the beach. 🏝☀️👙

In Rayong, Thailand, there is a quiet and serene island, Koh Samui, surrounded by many small islands, beautiful scenery and convenient transportation, which can be easily reached from Pattaya or Bangkok.
Step on the green sandy beach, walk through the yellow mottled stone house, and the narrow stone road leads to the blue sea. Walk on the island and listen to the blue Mediterranean winds and enjoy the ancient orange sunshine of Koh Samet.
Come here from the bustling city, like a long time-space tunnel, which maintains a rustic appearance: the winding paths of the island, the magnificent blue sea, in the embrace of enthusiasm It is especially affectionate and charming.

Koh Samet, Thailand.
Koh Samet, Thailand 🏖️ Island life in chill mode! || You don't have to go to Phuket, because it's too far away! Our route was Bangkok - Pattaya - Koh Samet, and it only took about an hour to get from Pattaya to Koh Samet! Then it was a 10-minute speedboat ride to the island.
When to go ☑️
We recommend going before 10 am or after 3 pm, otherwise, the sun is too strong and you'll get a tan line. You can buy a milk tea, coffee, or coconut and sunbathe on the beach! A sun lounger is 100 baht for unlimited time (about 20 RMB). There are also simple massages available for 30 RMB.
Food ☑️
There are lots of restaurants, cafes, and bars along the beach, and the prices are very cheap! We had pasta and pad krapow for less than 20 RMB! I can't believe this is the price at a tourist attraction abroad.
Koh Samet is small, easy to explore, and very photogenic! It's also family-friendly, with sand and water for kids to play in. Islands are always very healing.

"Koh Samet: Thailand's Dreamy Seaside Paradise"
🌊 On the map of Thailand, Koh Samet is like a dazzling ocean pearl, exuding endless charm.
Stepping onto Koh Samet, the snow-white beach instantly comes into view. The delicate sand flows between your toes, as if it's nature's gentlest touch. Strolling along the beach, the coconut trees on the shore sway in the wind. The large leaves rustle, as if whispering a welcome. The azure sea is crystal clear. Layers of waves gently pat the shore, creating white foam.
🌅 In the morning, when the first ray of sunlight falls, the golden light spreads across the beach and the sea, creating a dreamy scene. At this time, you can see dolphins jumping happily beside the boat. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in a variety of water activities, such as exciting jet skis or leisurely banana boats. When you're tired, lie on a beach chair and enjoy a sweet fruit shaved ice, letting your taste buds also immerse in sweetness.
🍤 In the evening, the beachside restaurants become lively. Taste the authentic Thai Tom Yum Goong soup, the sour and spicy taste spreads on the tip of your tongue. There's also the fragrant pineapple fried rice, which is satisfying with every bite. When night falls, under the starry sky, a bonfire is lit. People hold hands and dance around the bonfire. Koh Samet has beautiful scenery, tempting food, and interesting activities. It's a holiday paradise and a spiritual home. Come to Koh Samet and start an unforgettable trip to Thailand. Immerse yourself in this dreamy world of azure and white.

How to enjoy a beach holiday during the rainy season? This guide to Koh Samet is all you need!
When planning a beach holiday during the rainy season, you have to consider the rough sea. The islands in southern Thailand are affected by the Andaman Sea, which is connected to the Indian Ocean. The islands in eastern Thailand are located in the Gulf of Thailand, which is a relatively enclosed sea area, so you can still enjoy your holiday during the rainy season!
Among the islands in eastern Thailand, Koh Samet is definitely the top choice! Not only because it is close to Bangkok, but also because it is quiet and romantic, making it perfect for a short holiday and a relaxing time by the sea!
⭐️ What to do in Koh Samet
🏖️ White Sand Beach: When it comes to Koh Samet, the first thing that comes to mind is the white sandy beach that stretches for several kilometers. During the day, you can sunbathe and enjoy the sea view. At night, there are various food restaurants and night markets along the coastline, and you can also watch fire dance performances. This is the best way to start a holiday!
🖤 Black Sand Beach: Next to the White Sand Beach is the mysterious Black Sand Beach. It is black because it contains rich minerals. You can take photos that give you a sense of wilderness in Iceland!
🐠 Diving: The underwater world around Koh Samet is very rich, suitable for divers of all levels. You can experience snorkeling here, or try deep diving to explore the colorful corals and marine life.
⭐️ Transportation Guide
🛳️ Intercity Transportation: Depart from Bangkok, take a bus to Ban Phe Pier in Rayong, and then take a speedboat or ferry to Koh Samet. It only takes about 30 minutes to get there! The ferry ticket is about 200 baht.
🛵 Island Transportation: Koh Samet is not big. Renting a motorcycle is the best way to explore the island. The price is about 200-300 baht/day.
⭐️ Accommodation Recommendation:
There are many hotels on Koh Samet that are single wooden houses by the sea. You can go to the beach at any time! I highly recommend the resorts along the White Sand Beach. I stayed at Sai Kaew Beach Resort. The room is a single green wooden house, which is very retro and beautiful!
⭐️ Tips:
🌞 Sun Protection: The ultraviolet rays are very strong, so you must protect yourself from the sun when you go out to sea.
🗑️ Environmental Protection: Take away your garbage and respect the natural environment and ecology.
🦐 Food: Seafood is definitely the first choice on the island, it's very fresh!
🤿 Water Sports: Snorkeling, deep diving, jet skiing, banana boating, etc. can be experienced on Koh Samet. You can book related day tour products locally.

Successful Return from Thailand Trip☀️
Here are some tips and reviews for those planning to visit Thailand soon. The entire trip to Thailand was really nice. I stayed in Thailand for 6 days, and while my memory is still fresh, I quickly organized this to help everyone avoid some pitfalls‼️ This is for those planning to visit Thailand soon.
Let me talk about the tour I joined.
We searched online for a long time to find a tour group, and many friends recommended different tours to me. I compared them all and finally decided on this one. The reason for choosing it was because it is a legitimate tour in the local area, and I didn't find any negative reviews or warnings online. We traveled in a 7-seater business car, and the tour fee included hotel (with breakfast), transportation, tickets, business car, and travel insurance. There was no forced shopping in our tour (I had a terrible experience with a shopping tour in Yunnan before). We followed a pure sightseeing route in Bangkok and Pattaya, visiting the Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha, Koh Samet, and Erawan Shrine. We visited all the attractions we wanted to see. The group members were of similar age, and everyone got along well. The atmosphere was nice, and we even took photos for each other. I still keep in touch with one of the girls from the group, and we are planning to visit Singapore together. Traveling indeed allows you to meet different people and see different sceneries. If you have the chance, you should definitely experience the summer in Thailand. Apart from the heat, everything else is perfect.
After returning from Thailand, I felt a strong urge to go back. I think I will visit again if I have the chance, haha! Whether you join a tour or travel independently, I suggest doing some basic research beforehand to avoid being scammed. Especially during peak tourist seasons, it's best to book local tours in advance, as they might be more expensive if you book on the spot. In short, when choosing a tour, make sure to do thorough research and comparisons to find the best one.

Sangthianbeach Resort
Sangthianbeach Resort is a small house located on a cliff facing the sea. It has a total of 40 rooms, divided into various types for us to choose from. The room we recommend for families is the Family Seaview room. This large room has two king-size beds and amenities such as a TV, hairdryer, air conditioner, water heater, and a balcony with a great sea view. Besides the relaxation spots in the room, there are also many relaxing corners around the resort.

Recommended Short Trip from Bangkok! Koh Samet.
Koh Samet, a beach resort popular among locals, is about 4 hours away from Bangkok by bus and boat. While Pattaya is well-known as a beach resort easily accessible from Bangkok, Koh Samet is definitely the favorite among locals. The beach, with its beautiful sea and pristine white powdery sand, transforms at night with tables and chairs set up for a romantic dinner setting.

Self-driving on Koh Samet|Enjoy the freedom of the wind
Rented a motorbike on Koh Samet and rode around the island (about 150 THB/hour, 400 THB🐷 per day, negotiable, deposit passport or cash). The beaches on the east side of the island are all beautiful, with white and fine sand 🌊 and the water is very clear, like a glass sea~
💎Diamond Beach has the finest white sand, very powdery and soft. The area around Diamond Beach is very lively, with the main street here, and many choices of hotels, restaurants, convenience stores, and massage parlors. There are fireworks shows at night, each show starts at different times, some start at 7:30, and they are really cool🆒~
Also went to the viewpoint at the southernmost tip of the island, 🌄 you can see both the sunset and sunrise, but there are no other restaurants nearby except for a Paradise Hotel, so you can only enjoy the scenery, it's really remote, 🏍️ it takes 20 minutes by motorbike to get to Diamond Beach~
Tips:
🎫Island entry fee:
Since it is a national park island, there is an entry fee, 200 THB for adults and 100 THB for children, keep the ticket stub
🚌Island transportation - Songthaew:
Take the green Songthaew from the pier, show the hotel name, and it will take you directly to the hotel, the fare ranges from 20 to 100 THB depending on the distance
