Japanese Soufflé Pancakes | Saryo Kyoto Niohmon
Saryo Kyoto Niohmon is located in the atrium of Sheung Shui Centre. This Japanese cafe specializes in pancakes, but the menu also includes omurice and Japanese rice bowls, all of which look quite appealing.
▪️Cheese Katsu Omurice $108
The price includes miso soup from the Japanese tea ceremony. You can choose the sauce for the rice; I picked curry sauce, which is a sweet Japanese curry that isn't spicy! The katsu has a layer of cheese in the middle that melts and stretches, making it quite unique.
▪️Ginger Pork $68
For an additional $18, you can upgrade to a set meal that includes an appetizer, miso soup, Japanese tea, rice, or Inaniwa udon! The pork portion is generous, with each slice being quite large. It's cooked with plenty of onions and a savory-sweet sauce, and the dish is accompanied by a duck breast salad, making it refreshing and tasty.
▪️Plain Pancakes $88
There are three pancakes in total, which is quite a large portion suitable for two people! The pancakes are soft and fluffy with a nice egg flavor, and they come with honey and cream.

Shang Shui Ancient Cave Reservoir | Check in at the Hong Kong version of Heart-shaped Lake in 1 hour!
In Hokkaido, there is a famous heart-shaped lake called "Lake Toyoni". Because this scenery is extremely rare, many people rush to take photos there. However, it turns out that you don't have to go that far, as there is also a heart-shaped lake in Sheung Shui, Hong Kong!
Located south of Gudong Village in Shangshui, Gudong Reservoir was originally used for irrigation, but now serves as a fire-fighting facility. The heart-shaped lake is located on a hill overlooking the Gudong Reservoir and is called the "Hong Kong version of the heart-shaped lake" because when viewed from above, the reservoir resembles a heart shape.
To get to the Heart-shaped Lake, you can start at the Gu Dong Street Market and walk along Gu Dong South Road for about 10 minutes to the Gu Dong Reservoir. After encountering a fork in the road, turn left and walk for about 5 minutes to reach the Gu Dong Pond. Then, walk along the path next to the pond and slowly climb up the hill for about 50 meters on the sandy ground to reach the best viewing spot of the Heart-shaped Lake. From there, you can overlook the entire scenery of the Heart-shaped Pond under the sun. Don't forget to take a photo with a heart-shaped gesture as a souvenir when you arrive!
