🍽️ Dinner and a sunset 🌅
Dinner at the cliff offers fantastic service with great food. There is a diverse menu, we opted for the shrimp, spicy tofu, and margarita pizza which were all delicious.
Tables line the edge of the restaurant to maxime the view over the huge erhai lake, shaded blinds are offered to protect against the sun if needed.
Around the restaurant, the environment is stunning. There are many photo opportunities to enjoy before or after your meal.

After deciding to stay here before our second trip to Dali, we were unaware of this hotel during our first visit, only having dined at their restaurant and fallen in love with their overall design.
🌳 Environment Introduction:
The hotel is located in a villa community called Haidongfangdian in Haidong Town on the east side of Erhai Lake. Upon entering the community, registration is required, so the security should be quite good as there is a record. The overall color atmosphere has a Middle Eastern Arabian feel, with many cacti planted at the entrance, all of which are of nice varieties.
When we arrived, there was still some renovation going on next door, so there was some noise during the day, but it was not too disturbing. You need to go down a staircase at the entrance to enter the lobby, which feels very leisurely with a luxurious pool outside the living room. They have a cute cat, but you can't touch her as she might scratch.
🏠 Layout/Room Types:
After checking in, we were shown to our rooms, and we were upgraded to rooms 7 and 8. Room 7 is larger, with a particularly spacious bathroom, but due to the deep balcony, the lighting in the room is just average.
Room 8 is a tad smaller, but surprisingly has excellent lighting, bathing the entire room in Dali's sunshine. You can lie on the sofa to bask in the sun and read a book, or lie on the balcony chair to enjoy the sun and a drink, both of which are great pleasures.
The layout of the entire hotel is very comfortable, and every corner is well-maintained. Many popular hotels or homestays often have one particularly attractive spot for photos, but at Liuyue, I personally feel that every corner is photogenic.
Of course, it also has its classic spots for photos that you must try, and if you pay a little attention, every corner of the hotel can be a great photo opportunity.
💁 Facilities & Services:
They offer 24-hour butler service, so you can make any request at any time, and they usually fulfill your needs very well. If they can't, they will try their best to meet your requirements. All food and drinks can be delivered to the room, and there is a different variety of goodnight sweet soup every night.
Breakfast is semi-buffet style with both Chinese and Western options. The buffet includes bread, toast, fruit, freshly squeezed juice, and some steamed snacks. The Chinese option is Yunnan rice noodles, but if you don't like rice noodles, you can ask for noodles instead, and the portion is enough to satisfy a big man.
🏝 Surrounding Travel TIPS:
Erhai Lake is right in front of you, so you can take a walk by the lake, rent a bicycle or an electric bike for a leisurely ride around Erhai, which is also a nice option. Nearby by car, you can go to Wenbi Village, Xiaoputuo, and Shuanglang Ancient Town, which are not very far. If you want to go to Dali city center, it's also very close by car, where you can stroll around the mall, have a meal, and feel the urban atmosphere.
