Lvshun Station has a long history and is older than most railway stations in China. This is the terminus of the original Nanman Railway branch line, which was constructed by Russian Gilshman. In the past, due to the war, the railway station was built next to the military port.
1903, Lushun Station officially put into operation, has been 116 years. The railway station is a traditional Russian style, reflecting the characteristics of Russian wooden architecture. The middle part is a green dome tower. The tower is covered with fish scales and iron tiles, showing a bit of Russian local taste.
For more than a century, Lushun Station has witnessed the change of the city. Until 2014, the passenger transportation business was stopped. Today, the railway station is more of a tourist and sightseeing function, and many tourists come here.
Walk from the foot of Baiyu Mountain, Lushun's most famous tourist attraction, to the train station. About ten minutes, the once bustling railway station is now deserted, in stark contrast to the surrounding new buildings.
This railway station used to be the southernmost railway station in the northeastern region. The Russian city rented a large city and started to expand the military port and lay the railway. Soon after the Japanese-Russian war broke out, railway transportation was interrupted.
The current Lushun station only retains the ticket sales business. The more convenient high-speed rail replaces the original railway, leaving the old railway station as if it only has feelings.
On December 2, 2017, Lushun Railway Station was selected as the second batch of China's 20th century architectural heritage list, and now it has become a free and open tourist attraction in Lushun.
Lvshun Railway Station is located in Dalian, Liaoning Province, China. Lushun Station building is a wooden structure with a unique style and Russian style. It is listed as the first batch of key protected buildings in Dalian. On December 2, 2017, Lushun Railway Station was selected for the second batch of Chinas 20th century architectural heritage list.
