Mallika R.E 124 (เมืองมัลลิกา ร.ศ. 124)
Interesting to spend a day here. A replay of Thai in the olden days. Good effort to make it very real with people and animals (cows) living here.
You can exchange at a rate of 1:5 obtain the ancient coins for the purchase of food within the park. Unused coins can be exchanged back to cash at the entrance/ exit.
Lots of good photography opportunities. Here you can learn about Thai lifestyle of the earlier days via the Old building structures here. Schools also arrange tour groups here to study the culture, this is one reason why the Thais are so traditional and they follow closely to their culture.
Very beautiful place. Heaven for photographers. 200 bath ticket price. Worth visiting.

Mallika City.
It is a retro city that showcases the way of life of the Siamese people in the Chao Phraya River basin during the reign of King Chulalongkorn, Rama V, after the proclamation of the abolition of slavery. The city features Thai houses on rafts, houses of the nobility, reflecting the way of life including customs, traditions, culture, dress, and ancient cooking equipment. The food is very delicious, and the containers used to display the workmanship of flower and leaf carvings, basketry, along with performances of Khon, traditional dances, and folk plays. Within the village, there is a tram service known as 'Rickshaw' for sightseeing around the area, and Thai costume rental services are available for visitors to blend in with the atmosphere of Mallika City.

Mallika R.E 124 is the retro-city reflecting the past Siamese lifestyle in the Chao Phraya River Basin. During the reign of King Chulalongkorn, Rama V (1873-1910 A.D.), the people’s way of life in 1905 A.D. was plentifully changed.
The most pronounced was the abolition of slavery. When freed, these former Siamese slaves had to live and earn a living by themselves without control and supports from their noblemen and masters anymore. They had to live a life of self-sufficiency, self-reliant, and in harmony with all other Siamese people. These changing patterns of lifestyle are the cornerstone of today’s Thai people.
Inside Mallika R.E 124 there is Ancient Market Zone where you can buy souvenirs and also there are many stalls that sells Thailand’s Traditional Food (maybe some of them you will not find in bangkok city).
Also there are :
City Tower = It was simulated from the prison tower which was built to create an elevated observation point for supervising and preventing prisoner escapes. Reuan Dieow = It is a detached house for commoner. Reuan Khaha Bodi = house for the rich peeps, and last one is Reuan Pae Floating House to remind During that time, the most common mean to transport was by the river.
You also can try Thailand’s traditional clothes in 1873-1910 A.D. Don’t forget to exchange your Baht to Ancient City money (coins) it was thailand’s money in the past time, all transactions in Mallika R.E 124 must use that coins.
