[2024 Manzhouli Stay] Travel Guide for Manzhouli Matryoshka Hotel (Updated Nov)
A Comprehensive Guide to Taking Kids to Hulunbuir During Summer Vacation
Get up close and personal with nature
🎉🎉Just back from Hulunbuir, where the blue sky, white clouds, and green grasslands create a picturesque scene with cattle and sheep grazing as the wind blows. July and August are the most beautiful months for the grasslands. For a summer vacation with kids, Hulunbuir is definitely an ideal destination! 🎉🎉
🚗🚗About the way to travel: Generally, it involves chartered cars, self-driving, or joining a tour group. For first-timers, I recommend hiring a local guide with a car. There are several reasons: many places on the grassland have no signal, and only local drivers know the way; compared to the fixed schedule of bus tours, chartered cars offer more freedom for kids, stop whenever you want, and do whatever you want to do.
🌈🌈Recommended itinerary:
D1: ✈Arrive at Hailar Airport—Rest at hotel—Taste local cuisine
D2: Hailar—Grassland crossing—Morigele River—Ergun (Asia's largest wetland)
D3: Ergun—Birch Forest—Enhe Russian Ethnic Township—Shiwei (feed reindeer, river cruise)
D4: Shiwei—K-line (China-Russia border highway)—Heishantou (horse riding, milking cows, feeding lambs)
D5: Heishantou—Zhalainuoer Museum—Mammoth Park—Matryoshka Square (Manzhouli)
D6 Manzhouli—National Gate Scenic Area—Hulun Lake—Home
🔥🔥Activities kids must experience:
1⃣ Horse riding on the grassland, feeling the thrill of galloping. 2⃣ Milking cows, getting up close with the grassland life, and feeling the charm of dairy cows. 3⃣ Feeding lambs, interacting closely with small animals, kids will definitely love it. 4⃣ Staying in a Mongolian yurt, experiencing the life of grassland herders, and feeling a different charm. 5⃣ Checking in at the Matryoshka hotel, enjoying the Russian style. 6⃣ Grass sliding, experiencing the exciting and fun activity on the grassland.
🍔🍔About food: The cuisine of Hulunbuir is also a highlight. Don't worry about kids not being used to the food, they will really enjoy the hearty meals there! The beef and mutton are so delicious, and you can also experience authentic Russian cuisine in Manzhouli.
👗👗About clothing: The temperature difference between morning and evening on the grassland is significant, so it's advisable to bring a windbreaker. You can wear normal short-sleeved T-shirts at noon, and sunscreen is also very important!
Overall, this trip offered a glimpse of the grasslands and forests, an experience of the herders' life on the grassland, and a taste of exotic cultures, truly a fulfilling experience!

🔥Hulunbuir Delicacies
🌟 Whole Roasted Lamb: A centuries-old Inner Mongolian traditional delicacy, historically served to honor distinguished guests from afar.
🌟 Hand-grabbed Meat: Made from mutton, named for the large chunks of meat that are torn by hand when eating, it has a distinctive ethnic flavor and is deliciously rich.
🌟 Grilled Beef and Mutton Skewers: The meat is firm and flavorful, and Inner Mongolian mutton does not have a gamey taste, just grill and flaunt it.
🌟 Inner Mongolian Milk Tea: Made by boiling milk tea with ingredients like beefsteak, minced meat, cheese, and dried meat, all simmered together.
🏞 Accommodation Guide
⭕️ Hailar Accommodation
If you are traveling independently, it is recommended to stay near the Hailar train station. This makes travel convenient, as it is easy and inexpensive to take a taxi within the city.
⭕️ Manzhouli Accommodation
Hotels in the Manzhouli city area are a bit old. The Matryoshka Hotel is not really recommended during the peak tourist season, as it's too expensive and not cost-effective. It is suggested to choose a Russian-style hotel for a good experience at a reasonable price.
⭕️ Heishantou Accommodation
Heishantou is mainly Mongolian yurts. When booking, make sure to compare prices, as they can vary greatly. Definitely book in advance during the peak season.
⭕️ Shiwei Accommodation
Shiwei accommodations are typically wooden houses, with generally basic conditions but quite characteristic.
✈️ Transportation Guide
① Hailar Dongshan Airport: 13 kilometers from the city center, a 10-minute airport shuttle ride will get you to the city, and it departs as soon as it's full, which is very convenient.
② Manzhouli West Suburb Airport: Manzhouli Airport does not have an airport shuttle, and taxis generally do not use meters. The one-way fare between the airport and the city center ranges from 30 to 50 yuan.
③ Hailar Railway Station: You can choose to first take a train or plane to Harbin or Beijing, and then from Beijing or Harbin take a train to Hailar.

The most beautiful border town, Manzhouli
China's most beautiful border town, those with fairy tale dreams must go!|||🌟Really super super dreamy and beautiful
🌟A quiet and leisurely border town with few people
🌟Mistakenly thought to have gone to Russia
-
🟡There is heaven above and Suzhou and Hangzhou below, but Manzhouli's lights are more brilliant
-
The above sentence describes Manzhouli. The local driver proudly told us this sentence. Indeed, as a small border town at the junction of Mongolia, Russia and China, it is quiet and leisurely with few people, but the architecture is very beautiful. I think it is a must-visit city when you go to Inner Mongolia.
-
🟡Super dreamy, satisfying all your childlike innocence
-
The whole Matryoshka Square and Mammoth Park in Manzhouli, just these two attractions, are enough to satisfy your imagination of the fairy tale world. The Matryoshka Square includes the Matryoshka Hotel and the theme park. The interior decoration of the hotel lobby is very exquisite, even the chandelier is very beautiful. The buildings of the circus and the theme park are very fairy-tale style.
-
The Mammoth Park also has a dreamy style, a bit like Alice in Wonderland.
-
🟡Go to see the night view, go to the lake, and eat super delicious Russian food
-
You can also go to Beihu Park to see the night view, feed seagulls in Hulun Lake, a bit of a feeling of traveling through Little Kunming, you must go to Lubrishi Restaurant for dinner, really super super delicious Russian food, the kind that locals highly recommend.

The Matryoshka Hotel in Manzhouli is so healing that you'll want to stay forever.
The wind in Manzhouli carries the scent of the grasslands, gently brushing against your cheeks, making you feel like you've traveled to another world. My little one and I arrived in this border town and embarked on an unforgettable family trip. We chose to stay at the Matryoshka Hotel, located within the Matryoshka Scenic Area.
✨ The moment I stepped into the room, I knew I had made the right choice! The space, designed especially for children, is full of childlike fun - colorful wallpaper, cute cartoon bedding, and specially customized small tables and chairs that make kids excited as soon as they enter. The most thoughtful touch is the children's toiletries and slippers prepared in the room, showing attention to detail and truly considering things from a parent's perspective.
✨ The entire hotel feels like a giant photo studio, with every corner exuding a strong artistic atmosphere, whether in the lobby, restaurant, or corridor. Especially the two transparent sightseeing elevators, as the elevator slowly rises, you can see the beautiful scenery outside changing through the glass, making it a great place to take stunning photos!
✨ For foodies, this place is simply heaven! Whether it's the authentic Northeastern cuisine in the Chinese restaurant or the exquisite Western dishes offered in the Western restaurant, every dish can satisfy your picky taste buds. My favorite is spending a leisurely afternoon in the café, ordering a cup of rich latte with a few small and delicate cakes, which is simply delightful!
✨ In addition to the impressive hardware facilities, the software services here are equally outstanding. From the enthusiastic front desk lady who greeted us upon check-in to the cleaning auntie who carefully cleaned the room every day and asked if we needed any extra help, every staff member made us feel the warmth of home with their professional and friendly attitude.

Let's go to Hulunbuir to see the snow this winter!
Itinerary
• Day 1: Hailar - After flying directly to Hailar, we recommend renting a car to Ergun, as the roads are icy in winter and self-driving is risky.
• Day 2: Ergun Wetland - Visit the wetland and experience the magnificence of the snowfield, then head to the Aoluguya Reindeer Village to get up close and personal with the reindeer.
• Day 3: Cold Pole Village Experience - Drive to the coldest place in China, experience snowmobiles in the extreme cold, and enjoy the thrill and speed.
• Day 4: Crossing the China-Russia Border - Depart from Hailar, cross the China-Russia border, and enjoy the blue moment of the Russian village.
• Day 5: Manzhouli Food - Enjoy the popular Russian cuisine in Manzhouli, and return to Hailar to taste authentic beef and mutton hot pot.
Dress Code
• Warm Equipment: A pair of sturdy boots, brightly colored clothes, sunglasses, and a warm down jacket are essential.
• Cold-proof Clothing: The temperature in northern winter is about minus 30 degrees Celsius, so you should prepare down jackets, woolen clothes, woolen pants, hats, gloves, scarves, etc.
Precautions
• Anti-slip: There is a lot of ice and snow on the roads in the north in winter, and the roads are slippery, so it is best to wear snow-proof cotton shoes.
• Car Anti-slip and Anti-freeze: Prepare tire chains, and when there is ice and snow on the road, you need to put chains on the wheels. When the car is turned off at night, you should also drain the water in the water tank, otherwise, the water will freeze after a night of frost.
• Photography Warmth: Cameras or camcorders with electronic shutters are prone to "discharge" at temperatures below -20°C, causing the camera to "malfunction" and the shutter to not be pressed. After outdoor shooting, put the camera in your coat to "keep warm".
Accommodation and Dining
• Accommodation: You can choose traditional hotels, yurts, Matryoshka hotels, and other ethnic-style accommodations, or popular hotels such as starry yurts and container hotels.
• Dining: Hulunbuir is a paradise for carnivores, don't miss the hand-held meat, roast whole lamb, and roast lamb leg, as well as various dairy products and wild mushrooms.
Other Suggestions
• Photography and Aerial Photography: A local guide who can take photos and aerial photos can create beautiful ice and snow memories.
• Food Experience: Get ready to gain three pounds, and enjoy all kinds of meat and carbs every day, it's so cool.

Moerdaoga Forest Park🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
* A very surprising place, many places had lost their leaves during the National Day, but here retained the most, golden and beautiful.
* Be sure to bring insect repellent and ointment!! There are a lot of ticks that will crawl into your hair and clothes, and there are many bees (wasps too), I got stung.
* Self-driving route is more free than the small train.
Heishantou🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
* The sunset is so beautiful, the trees in the wetland are golden, and the water is super blue.
* The best place to watch the sunset varies with each season, ask the locals.
Linjiangtun🌟🌟🌟
* Go to Shenxianpo in the afternoon, you can see the very blue Ergun River.
* The sunset at Shenxianpo is average, far worse than Heishantou.
* The sunrise at the north slope is very beautiful, with a high chance of encountering morning fog.
Ka Line🌟🌟
* The entire Ka Line follows the Ergun River, the water is very blue.
* The scenery during the National Day is average, the landscape is very monotonous, more beautiful at the end of September and in summer.
* No need to go there specifically during the National Day.
* The wind is stronger and colder than other places.
Manzhouli🌟🌟
* I love shopping at Dashan Russian Supermarket, delicious and cheap!
* Lubuli Restaurant is a must-visit!
* Matryoshka Square is just an amusement park, no need to go inside.
* The lobby of the Matryoshka Hotel is super beautiful!! Palace style, very Russian!
Shiwei🌟
* Very commercial, can be finished in half an hour, the bread sold inside is quite good.
* There is a particularly yellow section of road from Moerdaoga to Shiwei.

No sunburn in Hulunbuir
Hulunbuir 6 days and 5 nights of eating, drinking, and having fun
Considering we had kids with us, the route was quite conventional. We rented two cars, one for women and children, and one for men. This arrangement was very appropriate, reducing the nagging from dads in the car and significantly decreasing the arguments during the trip.
About food
When you come to the grasslands, naturally, you have to eat plenty of beef and lamb. On the first day in Hailar, we checked out Jiumuyang. The fresh beef and lamb were indeed delicious, and the key was that it was very cost-effective. The store's secret sesame sauce was absolutely amazing. Four adults and two children ate for less than 500 yuan and were stuffed.
On the second day, the guide went to the market to buy lamb, cut it into cubes, and made lamb skewers for us to have an outdoor barbecue on the vast grassland. Who can understand the joy of outdoor activities under the blue sky and white clouds, with tents, beer, and grilled lamb skewers? It's a carefree life.
In Manzhouli, we had breakfast at the popular Wulijitala, which included pot tea, milk buns, shumai, and buns. It was good to try, but indeed, the breakfast of ethnic minorities is quite hardcore.
The meals on the grassland in the following days were nothing special. We ordered shredded potatoes and stir-fried three shreds to satisfy the children's needs at every meal. For the last meal before returning, we had iron pot stew (at Xuexiang Village in Hailar). If you have enough time, it's worth a try.
Of course, during our time on the grassland, we ate plenty of milk, yogurt, and ice cream without any disappointments.
About fun
The itinerary revolved around the grassland, with endless green and cattle and sheep everywhere. For those who love taking photos, it's like a mouse falling into a rice jar—go wild.
Horse riding, go-karting, grass sliding, feeding lambs, and holding lambs are all worth experiencing. As for making Leba and painting Matryoshka dolls, it's not really necessary.
We spent one night in a yurt, with a whole lamb roasting ceremony and a bonfire party. I have to say, ethnic minorities really know how to have fun. Late at night, regardless of age or gender, everyone followed the host's lead under the starry sky, dancing together. It was well-organized and highly recommended, especially memorable for the kids.
The whole trip was non-stop excitement, including the horse dance at the Barhu Mongolian tribe. The sight of thousands of horses galloping was truly shocking, and the equestrian performances showcased the bravery and courage of the horseback nation. Highly praised.
As for the Matryoshka doll hotel, it's hard to evaluate. It's a large shopping mall combined with an amusement park. You can go, but it's not a must.
About accommodation
During the peak season, grassland hotels are quite expensive since they only operate for a few months a year. Don't expect too much from the hotels. A hotel with an average price of 1500 yuan per night is roughly equivalent to a 200 yuan guesthouse in a small county. I brought half a suitcase of disposable four-piece sets and disposable bath towels to cope. The Kexeniya B&B in Shiwei was particularly liked by the kids, with a loft-style room suitable for playing hide and seek. The breakfasts at these hotels were very basic: a bowl of porridge, a hard bun, and an egg—very simple but sufficient.
We also experienced a dry toilet on the grassland, which was unforgettable.
The charm of the grassland lies in making you forget the time and the hustle and bustle of work, immersing yourself completely in nature. It's extremely comfortable and definitely worth taking the kids to experience a completely different culture and customs.

Food】
The food here is similar to Northeast cuisine, with large portions and lots of beef and lamb. Almost every meal includes them (I don't really like lamb, but the grilled lamb skewers here are acceptable). There are also special Russian restaurants in Hailar and Manzhouli, and I had an old-fashioned Northeast spicy hot pot in Erguna which was very delicious! Northeast barbecue is absolutely amazing~
Preparation before the trip
1 Hulunbuir has a large temperature difference between morning and evening. In summer, the daytime temperature is over 20 degrees, and the morning and evening temperatures are around 10 degrees. It is recommended to bring a long-sleeved jacket, you can't just wear short sleeves or dresses.
2 The weather on the grassland is changeable. When the sun is out, the UV rays are very strong, so take protective measures and also bring an umbrella in case it rains.
3 Grassland outfits: plain-colored clothes, ethnic style dresses, horse riding outfits, etc., can be chosen according to your own style and preferences. Of course, you can also bring sunglasses, sun hats, necklaces, jewelry, etc. as accessories.
Summer vacation, the first place to go is Hulunbuir to see the vast grasslands🍃
The wind blows the grass low to see the cattle and sheep🐂🐑, you really have to go at least once!
.
Horse riding🐎, eating whole roasted lamb🐑, experiencing yurts⛺️, watching the starry sky🌃, seeing reindeer🦌, quickly make plans with your friends

Summer Must-Go | Travel Guide Summarized from 5 Visits
| Travel Guide Summarized from 5 Visits. It's summer vacation again~ My brother asked where to take the kids. Personally, besides the beach, I prefer the grasslands. Last year, the whole family traveled to Qingdao and Weihai. This year, I want my little nephew to see more scenery, so I suggest going to Hulunbuir—
⚠️Based on the experience of visiting 5 times, I have summarized a 5-day 4-night itinerary👇
D1: Arrive in Hailar - Dinner at Lubuli - Stay at Hailar Baifu Yue Hotel
Choose Hailar because there are many flights, which is convenient.
🍽️Lubuli: A western restaurant recommended by locals, the taste is good, very suitable for meat lovers.
🏨Hailar Baifu Yue: The highest-grade hotel in Hailar
D2: Muyun Mountain Top—Morigele River—Bayanhushuo—Love of Hulunbuir—Stay at Tianxia Grassland
⛰️Muyun Mountain Top: The best place to view the Morigele River
💧Morigele River: The world's first winding river described by Lao She
🌿Bayanhushuo: Aobao meeting, casually taking photos is like a Windows desktop
🏨Tianxia Grassland: Stay in a yurt, if lucky, you can see the sunset in the evening🌇 and the starry sky at night.
👀Love of Hulunbuir: Quickly understand the origin of the city's name.
D3: Erguna Wetland Park—Cai'enjiya—Enhe—Ulan Mountain—Heishantou
🌸Erguna Wetland Park: The largest wetland park in Asia, overlooking the city of Erguna.
☁️Enhe: Did not go separately, passed by on the way to Ulan Mountain, all the way with rapeseed flowers, like a Hayao Miyazaki comic.
⛰️Ulan Mountain: Near the Russian border, there will be Russian signals, be careful of mobile phone charges.
🌇Heishantou: One of the most beautiful places to watch the sunset, be sure to arrive early, otherwise, the mountain will be full of people, and it will be difficult to find a good spot.
🥩Cai'enjiya: A restaurant recommended by locals, homemade dried beef with white radish, and also has spicy sauce and chive sauce, the soup is very delicious. If it feels bland, you can add some sauce.
😋Dinner: After watching the sunset, you can eat casually in Heishantou. If you are a bit particular, you can eat at the Heishantou restaurant, the price is okay.
🏠Accommodation: You can choose to stay in Heishantou Town, during peak season, you need to book in advance, or return to Erguna to stay, which requires an additional 40 minutes to 1 hour of driving, with more accommodation options.
D4: Heishantou Horse Farm—Guomen—Manzhouli Matryoshka—Russian Circus—Stay at Matryoshka Hotel
🐴Heishantou Horse Farm: You can ride horses, but you can't ride too far by yourself.
🚪Guomen: A must-visit place with one gate for two countries.
👶🏻Manzhouli Matryoshka: A place that everyone will like, a princess fairy tale world with Russian style.
🐜Russian Circus: Different from the Chinese circus, the tickets are a bit expensive.
🍲Matryoshka Hotpot City: Enjoy palace-like treatment, a must-visit in Manzhouli.
D5: Beijiang Pearl Tower—Return
👀Beijiang Pearl Tower: Climb high to see the Russian town, accidentally reaching abroad.

No wonder it's called the legendary fairy tale kingdom!! I don't want to leave!!
It really looks like a fairy tale kingdom here!!
Colorful everywhere, castle 🏰 buildings, super photogenic!!
Next to it are the Matryoshka Hotel and the Matryoshka Castle Hotel
The former is a bit more expensive
The interiors of the hotels are very luxurious
The breakfast is especially good
Next to it is an amusement park!
And a circus 🎪
Different beautiful scenery during the day and night
Staying at the hotel comes with amusement park tickets
A day of fun is very enjoyable
A few minutes by taxi to a lively place to eat authentic Northeastern cuisine
I still highly recommend staying in this small town for a few days~

Life is but 30,000 days, always save a summer for Hulunbuir
Sisters, when you open the car door, it's like a "windows computer screen"🌳
As far as the eye can see, it's the romance of "wind blowing over the grasslands revealing sheep and cattle"🐑
This summer, my best friend and I "escaped" from work.👻
Instead of going to work, we went to Hulunbuir and rode the barrel train.🚂
Running on the vast grasslands, riding horses, herding sheep, skewering, and taking the little train... The wind is free, and so are we!🌥️
The vast grasslands are so beautiful, healing, and Miyazaki-like🌿
Having seen the summer in Hulunbuir is like having seen a real-life fairy tale world.🏰
👒
Go to the Morin Dawa River, see the nine curves and eighteen bends hidden deep in the grasslands
Go to Erguna, see "Asia's No.1 Wetland"
Go through the thousand-acre birch forest, visit the Enhe Russian Ethnic Township
Take the grassland train, go to the super long grassland slide for fun
Hop on the colorful barrel train, visit the herders' homes, eat mutton skewers
Stay in a Mongolian yurt at sunset, dance around the campfire
Go to the border town full of fairy tale castles, stay in a Matryoshka hotel, play in the Matryoshka park🪆, fall into a world of Matryoshkas everywhere.

2️⃣Hulunbuir has a large temperature difference, so you need to bring a coat
3️⃣The grasslands are vast and unsheltered, so good sun protection is necessary
4️⃣The attractions in Hulunbuir are far apart, suitable for self-driving/chartered
5️⃣For the first time in Hulunbuir, ⚠️ it is recommended to charter a car like we did, without needing to bring a 🧠, with food, accommodation, and travel arranged clearly by professionals.
Just "get on the bus to sleep, get off the bus to take pictures"📷
Such a trip to the grasslands, really happy~🥳

Manzhouli Matryoshka Hotel Stay Experience
Manzhouli Matryoshka Hotel Stay Experience
If you travel to Manzhouli, you must experience this most iconic building - the Russian Matryoshka Hotel, which has set two world Guinness records: the world's largest matryoshka and the largest scale of irregular architectural complex.
The Matryoshka Hotel is connected to the Matryoshka scenic area, with the overall building height being 30 meters
You can visit inside the hotel, where the ceilings and walls are all murals, making you feel like you've entered a museum, and it's really worth a visit
The hotel interior has a total of 16 floors, with the top floor being a conference room, and floors 5 to 15 are guest rooms, which are basically fully booked during the peak season
The rooms are also very distinctive, with cushions, TVs, teapots, and lights all featuring matryoshka characteristics, making you feel like you're living in a castle, even the slippers have matryoshka patterns, take a bath in the big bathtub,
soak, and have a beautiful sleep here at night
The sightseeing elevator can go directly to the 15th floor, from inside the elevator you can feel the thrill of the height, or you can lie on the round sofa on the first floor, look up at the ceiling, and the whole hotel is magnificent, a feast for the eyes
The hotel's breakfast is also very characteristic, and the dishes are very rich. If you stay here in May or June, the price is still very favorable, but in the peak season, it basically costs several thousand, so if you plan to come to Manzhouli in the near future, I really recommend experiencing a night here

👗Clothing: Bring whatever you want to wear, white and blue match the grassland well! Must-have sun protection clothing! Thick coat! Because it's really cold in the morning and evening 🥶
👥Group Tour: Hulunbuir attractions are scattered, many places we went to can't be navigated, only those familiar with it know the routes, some even have to go through the homes of herders (with fences, need a password), so it's recommended to choose a local group! Pay attention to distinguish oh

You should definitely take a trip to Hulunbuir this spring
This summer, you must go to the Hulunbuir grasslands with your best friends.
The grasslands of Hulunbuir in summer are the most beautiful, with a vast expanse of greenery. Running with friends on the grasslands, accompanying sheep 🐑, and galloping on horses 🐎...

🏜️ Accommodation choices
1. It's best to choose accommodations in the urban area 🌇 when traveling to Hulunbuir, as the conditions will be a bit better, and special Mongolian yurt stays should not exceed 2-3 nights.
2. Mongolian yurt accommodations 🏕️ on the grassland are quite expensive, you can check the prices online for your reference.
3. City hotels 🌆 are not necessarily bad if they are expensive, generally, those priced around 200-400 are quite good, and of course, there are luxurious ones too.

Food highlights are as follows:
1⃣ Mongolian meals mean "hearty" eating of meat. The beef and lamb in Hulunbuir are raised on natural grasslands and are free-range, with delicious and firm meat, without any gamey taste, even those who don't like lamb can accept it.
2⃣ For meat lovers, arrange different dishes every day: hand-grabbed meat, roasted lamb ribs, roasted lamb legs, Nantun beef steak, sheep tail core (a part that is hard to find elsewhere), belly-wrapped meat dipped in leek flowers, Mongolian house meat is probably the Inner Mongolian version of crispy meat, and for groups of 8 or more, consider a roasted whole lamb, for hot pot try copper pot meat slices
3⃣ Hailar's 'Old Three Bones' is a time-honored brand we have grown up with, featuring limited supply of lamb bones, be sure to go early during meal times, and if you like, you can vacuum pack a portion to take home
4⃣ For Russian meals, you can try 'Lublix Western Restaurant', both Hailar and Manzhouli have branches, with Manzhouli being the main store and Hailar having a better environment.
5⃣ The Buryat buns of the Ewenki ethnic group are a delicacy on the tip of the tongue, with thin skins revealing the wheat aroma, and the bite reveals granular and delicious lamb meat. Our dumplings are not the kind wrapped with glutinous rice in the south, but beef and lamb with onions/scallions, both steamed and pan-fried should not be missed.
6⃣ Iron pot stewed goose is a signature dish of Northeastern cuisine, but when in Hulunbuir, it is recommended to try iron pot stewed fish instead, to change the taste from beef and lamb, and also because the cold-water fish here do not have an earthy taste, but are fresh and slightly sweet.
7⃣ Moerdaoga's 'Sisters Restaurant', I can't help but eat a portion of Guo Bao Meat every time I pass by, with a homely taste, good value for money, and a surprising amount of food. The difference between Guo Bao Meat and Liang Meat is that one is sweet and sour, and the other is salty.
8⃣ Iron pot braised noodles, meat pies, leek boxes, paired with a pot of steaming lamb and yam clay pot, might be a good choice for brunch
9⃣ Hailar's 'Liu's Rye Bread House' Russian rye bread and wild blueberry jam are endlessly repurchased, with beer-flavored rye bread that is soft and delicious, not the hard kind. Their milk and yogurt are also authentic, full of milk flavor.
🔟 'Iron Mountain Cold Drinks' can be said to be the Haagen-Dazs of Hulunbuir, with branches in both Hailar and Ergun. Hailar's canned skin has a strong aftertaste, and it's invigorating to drink. For drinks, try a bottle of Dayao, the taste of childhood
✅ Clothing index reference:
From now until mid-August, it's short sleeves or a long-sleeve shirt during the day, and a thin coat at night, the thickness of a knitted sweater.

⭕️ Travel tips (each one is important)
1. When you arrive in the Sino-Russian border area, it is advised to turn off your mobile phone signal to avoid receiving Russian communication signals.
2. There is no need to choose high-end hotels for accommodation, as there are no very good hotels in Hulunbuir.
3. Do not shop in scenic areas, as prices are high and not necessarily genuine.
4. Do not attempt to cross the Sino-Russian border line! "One small step today, a big step back in life."
5. Do not enter the Greater Khingan Range without authorization, you will definitely get lost without professional guidance.

🍲Food Recommendations
🔷 Hand-grabbed Meat - In Hulunbuir, you must not miss the local hand-grabbed meat🥩. The lamb is fresh and tender, traditionally marinated and roasted, crispy on the outside and tender inside, 🌭with a fragrant aroma. Eating with your hands directly, you experience the most primitive eating pleasure and feel the boldness and enthusiasm of the Mongolian people🔆.
🔷 Mongolian Meal - When on the grassland, you must try the authentic Mongolian cuisine. Dairy products made from milk, handmade dried meat and 🧀️ cheese, and Mongolian 🍲 hotpot cooked with sheep's stomach, each is an ultimate ⛳️ challenge to the taste buds, leaving a lasting impression.
🔷 Lamb Chops🍖🥩 - As a delicacy of the grassland, lamb chops are a must-try for every visitor. The lamb chops are delicious, fatty but not greasy, usually roasted with spices and seasonings🌞, each bite is full of 🔥 happiness.

👚Clothing Suggestions
Inner Mongolia has a large temperature difference between day and night, when I went there the temperature was 20+ at noon and 10+ at night
Remember to bring both short and long sleeve clothes while styling
🧩Precautions
1⃣️Sunscreen, hats, and sun protection clothing are indispensable, and an umbrella is a must, as it may rain at any time
2⃣️The city area of Hailar is very hot, other places are slightly cooler in the morning and evening, no need for too thick, but wear more for watching the stars at midnight
3⃣️Be sure to do a good job in mosquito prevention!!
4⃣️The most beautiful scenery is all on the road, be sure not to sleep as soon as you get on the car, I personally like the scenery of the border checkpoint line the most
