Can you see the glass pyramid without going to Paris? Yes. It's about 30 minutes by car from Sapporo city to Moerenuma Park. Highlights: The Moerenuma Park is a large park in the outskirts of Sapporo. The park has a circumference of about four kilometers and the grounds are covered in attractive green space. This is a huge public park and we wanted to visit the different attractions like the fountain, the hill and the Glass Pyramid. The walk going up to the hill was around 20 minutes. The view was amazing at the top as you can see the skyline of downtown Sapporo with the mountains in the background. Wonderful, unique park dedicated to a talented artist. The first impression of the park from the internet was a cool looking park designed by Isamu Noguchi. Once I enter the park, I was delighted to find out that you can rent a bike to ride in the park. The landscape, clean air, relaxing atmosphere we could just escape from all the routine in our life momentarily. Great experience! #givethanks #givethanks

This spot is far from the center of Sapporo city, it takes 50-minutes by the train and local bus. From the nearest bus stop 'Toyohata' it's a 15-minute walk to the center of the park. In this park, there are white birch trees, artificial hills and a pyramid of glass. You can rent a bike for 300 yen per 2 hours to cycle around this big site. The bicycle station is nearby a car parking lot. #GiveThanks

Luckily, we found a great airline deal. So we were able to visit Sapporo for the weekends. And moerenuma park was one of our favourite stops. It's such a beautiful landscape. A great option for a day trip out of the city of Sapporo. We got some snacks with us and rent a bicycle to get around. There is a bicycle rental post at the park. Bicycle has a lock so you can leave them with no worries if you want to go in the glass pyramid or climb up on of the hills for an observation point. (No bicycle allowed on the trails to the 2 highest observation points in the park) Fountain was closed when we were there due to an earthquake but still it was worth the visit. #favouriteairline #sapporo #travel

Many people visit in the summer because of the beautiful greenery. I don't like the cold, but in March, even though there was snow, it wasn't that cold, so I was able to take off my outerwear and stroll around the park 🎵 The collaboration of pure white snow and glass pyramids is a spectacular view that can only be seen in the snowy season! The park features various pyramidal objects, a glass pyramid like at the Louvre, a step pyramid that reminds of pre-columbian America, a small pyramid features at the eastern wooded playground area. a square platform juts out and up triangularly above the soccer fields, a large mound is the largest structure and reminds one of steppe Kurgans or the pagan burial mounds of Scandinavia. Beautiful Serene place. Going here on a snowy day is like renting the whole park! You can easily sled here all by yourself. But, dont come here at the afternoon/dark, because it’s so hard find the transportation to the city. Day 7 - One day in Sapporo - after breakfast at the hotel, we took a tram to Fushimiinari Shrine 札幌伏見稲荷神社, Hokkaido Shrine Mikado 北海道神宮神門, and later walk to Maruyama Zoo 札幌市円山動物園 (open 9.30am) - We planned for Historical Village of Hokkaido, but didn't manage to go, for those who interested, you can take the JR&Tozai Line(Subway)[Shin Sapporo Sta.],You change bus bound for [No.22 Kaitakunomura](15min) to last bus stop. - We play snow at Moerenuma Park, and visited Hokkaido Shrine Tongu - Sapporo Beer Garden, ９丁目-2-10 Kita 7 Johigashi, Higashi Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido 065-0007, Japan for dinner Day 8 - New Chitose - JR Sapporo Station to Chitose Station Hotel-put luggage - Visit Northen Horse Park (we can take the bus from airport) - Planned for lunch at Michinoeki Salmon Park Chitose 道の駅 サーモン・パーク千歳, and Salmon Hometown Chitose Aquarium サケのふるさと 千歳水族館 unfortunately it was closed.
