My visit to the Museum Siam in Bangkok was a delightful journey through the history, culture, and identity of Thailand. Situated in an elegant neoclassical building near the Grand Palace, this museum is a treasure trove of knowledge.
The exhibits at Museum Siam are beautifully designed, blending traditional and interactive elements. They provide a comprehensive exploration of Thai history, from ancient civilizations to modern times, in a way that is both engaging and thought-provoking.
What truly stood out was the museum's emphasis on interactivity, encouraging visitors to participate and learn through hands-on experiences. It made the history and culture of Thailand come alive.
The Museum Siam is a hidden gem in the heart of Bangkok that left me with a profound appreciation for the rich tapestry of Thai heritage. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to delve deeper into the soul of Thailand. #ukcreator #thailand #Bangkok

Fun and interactive Museum
This was probably one of the best museum I’ve been to, a model for modern learning that is fun and interactive. Highly creative. Great facilities. The Museum consists of 3 parts including a permanent exhibition, rotating exhibition and creative learning activities. There is a lesser focus on traditional artefacts but more on modern unique memorabilia from Thailand’s culture. The show in room 3 was the best.
Museum Siam truly gives you the 360 insights and experience about Thailand. It is a thought-provoking place as well as you are encouraged to compare the difference between Thai stereotypes and their actualities. Expect to learn more about Thailand’s cuisine, religions, education and more. There is a cool giftshop you must also visit.

Bangkok | museum to learn about Thailand’s history😍
During our days in Bangkok, we randomly discovered an interesting museum about the history of Thailand just right outside of a metro station!
This is called the Museum Siam at Sanam Chai station which is where you will go when you want to have temples visit! If you are a history and culture lover, try to add this museum in your itinerary before visiting the famous temples like Wat Arun. It is painted in light yellow and has a 19th century architectural style. There is an art exhibit outside so I took some photos with it. You could explore and learn more from the exhibits inside about Thai costumes, temples and architecture but there is an entrance fee for the exhibitions so you have to get the tickets first!

The Fascinating History of Thailand at Siam Museum
Thailand is such an interesting country with a unique culture, political structure and belief system - to find out more check out the Museum Siam.
It offers you a glimpse into the more recent history of Thailand and how it emerged into the globally iconic destination it is now. I really enjoyed learning about the things that are ‘Unique to Thailand’ and it really made me appreciate my trip more
First thing I’d suggest is getting the free audio tour, usually I hate these things but this one was great. The woman talking is very clear and has a great sense of humour, laughing my way through the museum felt very Thai.
It is quite small so you can do the whole thing in about an hour. It’s very close to the grand palace so you can easily to both in the same morning
🕰️Business Hours: 10-18:00
💰Average Price per Person: 100TBH £2.25
📍Address: Sanam Chai, the metro station is right at the door. But you can also get here by taxi, bus or tuk tuk

A lovely museum to see if you want to learn how Thainess developed during history. It gives you the outlines of the Thai identity which consists of three main elements:
Nation, religion and the King.
It is not a large museum compared to the National Museum Bangkok and you can see it in two hours. Your tour starts from the third floor and then you go downstairs to the second floor.
In my opinion, you must see the National Museum Bangkok first and then you can visit this museum if you have time. You will not miss much if you are unable visit here.

🌸 Beautiful underground Train Station 🇹🇭
#cherryblossom2024
🌸🌸🤗 My wife and I visited Bangkok, Thailand during the spring season 🪷 for our holiday. While traveling via the MRT underground train, we were captivated by the new Sanam Chai Station, which showcased numerous breathtaking images of the location.
The Sanam Chai station is a rapid transit station on the Blue Line of the Bangkok MRT. It is situated underground beneath Sanam Chai Road in Bangkok, Thailand. During the construction of the station, numerous historical artifacts were discovered, including coins from the reigns of King Mongkut and King Chulalongkorn. These valuable findings were handed over to the Fine Arts Department and Museum Siam for preservation and further research. A special exhibition was organized at the concourse level, specifically under Exit 1, to showcase these artifacts. On 27 November 2020, this underground exhibition became the first museum in Thailand, open to the public free of charge.
The expert in Thai architecture and national artist Pinyo Suwankiri has designed the interior of the place in accordance with the early Rattanakosin era theme. The Sadom pillars, which serve as the main pillars, are adorned with intricately carved tiles in the shape of the Pikul flower. These carvings symbolize prosperity. Additionally, the edges of the pillars are embellished with lotus shapes, featuring long curved petals that lean towards the center. The bottom of each large petal is engraved with smaller petals and coated with a layer of gold leaf. 🏵🌼🌺
Furthermore, apart from its central location on Rattanakosin Island, the station is conveniently situated in close proximity to various notable landmarks such as Wat Pho, Saranrom Park, Saranrom Palace, Museum Siam, Pak Khlong Talat, Rajini School, Wat Ratchabopit, Wat Rajabopit School, and Wat Ratchapradit. This allows us to easily explore and discover more captivating attractions after visiting this station. 😘😘🌸 #songkran2024 #mytravelhacks #historicallandmarks #localguides #familytrip #trip
