Harbin Nangang Museum
The Harbin Nangang Museum is located at No. 1, Lianfa Street, Nangang District, Harbin. It is a provincial cultural relics protection unit. It covers an area of 2,430 square meters and has a building area of 1,023 square meters. The building was built in 1904 and is a rare new art movement style architectural treasure left over from the Middle East Railway period. This building was originally the residence of the Chief Auditor of the Middle East Railway; in 1929, it was the official residence of Zhang Jinghui, the administrative governor of the Eastern Province Special Zone; in 1935, it was the residence of the Manchurian Railway Co., Ltd.; during the War of Liberation, the Northeast Democratic United Army (later known as the Fourth Field Army) The headquarters once worked here. It was renovated in 2010 and opened to the public for free as the Nangang Exhibition Hall.
The exhibition themes are: rise along the road, change of the countryside, prosperity of commerce and trade, life style, and cultural diversity (medical and health, education and talents, architecture and past events, culture and art).
