A large display of historical items, art and more. I visited this museum solo. The buildings are filled with a lot of interesting artifacts. Prepare to spend all day because the museum is massive. My favorite part of the museum is reading the timeline of how old Bangkok and its history pre-dates by thousands of years to the rest of history. Thailand is very old. The other part that I found interesting was the massive chariots that were used for funerals. They are massive and housed in one of the buildings. There is a video showing one of the funerals and the processional. Very Interesting. Highly Recommended!

Thailand, Sawadee ka!!!
Hi, I know a lot has been posting ng mga travel nila going to Thailand and more and more are experiencing being offloaded by the immigration.
nakakakaba naman talaga pag nag start na sila mag tanong ng more than 2 questions. I don’t know if it helps but will share with you my experience to motivate others not to be afraid to travel outside our country.
Requirements na dala:
*COE - with leave of absence date tugma sa travel
*VaxxCert just in case
*TP (Thailand Pass) nahigay na sa ibang post yung requirements but i’ll be happy to share once asked.
*Bank certificate (not necessary but can help)
*Itinerary (wala ako neto but might help others)
*Plane ticket (Papunta at pabalik)
*Insurance (Got AXA madami sa FB market place agents that would help assist)
Travel history ko: Singapore palang 2019 pa, I have no valid visas to other countries.
No. of pax: I am a lone traveler mag isa ako.
The only question that was asked to me by the immigration officer was about my previous travel which is SG and then sabay tatak. No documents asked.
I think trust point din if you wont look decent enough to find a job or ”too casual” t-shirt lang and shorts then shoes lang suot ko and I didn’t bring luggage, I brought back pack at shoulder bag na maliit. siniksik konlahat gamit ko dun. (wala akong biniling pasalubong 😅)
Masaya mag party sa Thailand at food trip pero if relaxing ang gusto, sa Pinas nalang mas mura at mas maganda pa.
I didn’t hold myself from spending kase I wanted to get the most of Thailand atleast Bangkok.
Pabalik Pinas nag register lang ako sa OHP (One Helath Pass) 2 days before departure and got my QR code (express pass) after more or less 15 hours.
Wasn’t asked for RTPCR/ATK na din as long as vaccinated twice. in my case I already have my booster. I uploaded din.
Happy Travel!!!!

A Whisper of History: A Timeless Journey at the Bangkok National Museum
Walking into the Bangkok National Museum feels like embarking on a cultural dialogue spanning thousands of years. The atmosphere inside the museum is solemn and serene, with each exhibit seemingly telling an ancient story. The first thing that greets you is the exquisite traditional Thai Buddha statues, their golden glow appearing even more sacred under the lights, as if whispering ancient beliefs and philosophies.
As I wandered through the various halls, I witnessed precious artifacts from different Thai dynasties. From intricately carved royal utensils to colorful traditional costumes, each piece showcases the luxury of the royal family and the wisdom of the craftsmen. The mural depicting historical wars, with its delicate brushstrokes and vivid scenes, made me feel as if I were on a smoke-filled battlefield.
When I stepped out of the museum, a gentle breeze brushed past, and the sunset's afterglow filled the sky. I looked down at the stone steps at the entrance, my heart filled with reverence and emotion for Thai history. This visit to the Bangkok National Museum was not only a visual feast but also a profound spiritual cleansing.

Golden Boy and Ganesha on the skull
#VisitMuseum National Museum, Bangkok
"Golden Boy" and the sculpture of a kneeling woman with hands together, both of which are believed to have disappeared from Buriram Province. The Fine Arts Department has displayed them for the public to see. The bronze sculpture of Shiva, or "Golden Boy", is around the 16th Buddhist century. It is a statue of Shiva wearing the regalia of a high-ranking person.
The name "Golden Boy" is a name given by antique dealers and is considered a world-class antique because it uses advanced casting technology.
It is made of copper and tin, coated with gold leaf and embedded with silver. Another piece is the sculpture of "a woman with hands together", sitting with her knees raised, hands raised above her head, dressed like a high-ranking person, cast in bronze with traces of silver and gold decoration. It can be visited at Building 4, 2nd floor, open every day from Wednesday to Sunday.
The entrance fee for Thais is 30 baht, and for students 10 baht.

Bangkok National Museum, also known as Phra Nakhon National Museum, never gets boring no matter how many times you visit. This time, the museum is celebrating its 150th anniversary with exhibits from other museums. On this visit, I wanted to see the Golden Boy and the Kneeling Woman Sculpture, which have returned from abroad. A visit to Bangkok National Museum which full with incredible artifacts 🌟
It is a treasure trove of history and culture, showcasing artifacts that the Royal Thai Families have been collecting for centuries. The entrance fee is very cheap for locals, but it's 10 times more expensive if you're a foreigner. The museum is quite a distance from the nearest train station—we opted to come by Grab. If you're interested in Thai history and culture, you could easily spend the whole day here exploring the vast collections. Despite the higher price for tourists, it’s worth a visit for the incredible artifacts on display.

Previously checked the guide online
The most worth visiting are Halls 4, 5, 6, and 10
Halls 4 and 5 display many Buddha statues
Especially solemn and sacred
Most are from the 14th-16th centuries
There are also gifts from East Asian countries to the king
In the hall, there's a feeling of seeing through a thousand years at a glance
Hall 6 is particularly large
Divided into many small halls
Exhibiting royal life items
Exquisite and ancient
Hall 10 has the golden sailboats that everyone loves to photograph
It is said to be the dragon and phoenix boat used by the ninth king and queen of the Bangkok dynasty
Shining and majestic
For me personally
This place is quieter and more imposing than the nearby Grand Palace
Fewer tourists in the morning
Here you can feel the thousand-year-old history and culture of Thailand

The National Museum Bangkok (Royal Carriage House)
The Royal Carriage House is a storage for ceremonial royal carriages, specifically used for funerary ceremonies (while auspicious ceremonies are held in the Grand Palace). These carriages are used in royal ceremonies at Sanam Luang, formerly known as Thung Phra Men.
There are carriages for the King, members of the royal family, and monks, in that order.
It's very impressive to see. They are well-maintained, and it's hard to believe that they are hundreds of years old but still in good condition.

#songkran2024 It’s an amazing building, red wooden house and temples. A wonderful Thai culture and exhibition. There’s a huge collections of prehistoric to nowadays Thai artifacts, textiles, pottery, architecture, archaeological sites etc. And it is very well presented with English explanation.
I would suggest taking a tuk tuk or a taxi as it is quite far from public transport. Very informative, engaging and enjoyable. Come and visit for Thailand culture!

Check in at the National Museum of Thailand—embark on a magical journey
The National Museum of Thailand, established in 1782, is the largest in scale among Southeast Asian countries. Here, one can take a journey through Thai history and culture. The museum displays sculptures and classical artworks from various periods of Thailand, as well as some important historical relics, such as artifacts unearthed from the Ban Chiang culture, terracotta figures of the ancient female orchestra from Thonburi, the Buddha statue with the gesture of touching the earth from the Sukhothai period known as the 'Phra Si Ariyabot', the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva statue dubbed the 'Thai Venus', and the famous inscriptions from Sukhothai. It's worth a visit, not too crowded and highly recommended.
