Kotor's Nearby Our Lady of the Rocks: Free VIP Lounge Access from the UK, Island Full of Historic Buildings!
Near Kotor in Montenegro, there's a very famous attraction: Our Lady of the Rocks. Here, you'll find a museum and a church (Church of Gospa od Skrpjela). These iconic buildings can be seen from afar in Kotor! It's just a 20-minute boat ride from Kotor, and the buildings are unique and full of Montenegro's distinctive charm. The church with the blue dome is especially notable! The island also features marble altars, historically used by sailors to pray for safe journeys.
Although it's a very small island, I personally find the buildings on it very interesting and definitely worth a visit!
On this trip to Kotor, I enjoyed the free VIP lounge service as a diamond member when flying from the UK! Diamond members can enjoy up to two free accesses. Download Trip.com now and get special offers for your first post. If you love traveling, you definitely shouldn't miss this app!

The town itself is a picturesque collection of well-preserved Baroque architecture, with charming stone buildings, palaces, and churches lining its narrow streets. The serene waterfront is dotted with quaint cafes and restaurants, providing idyllic spots to soak in the beauty. Nearby, the iconic islands of Our Lady of the Rocks and Saint George add to the enchanting landscape, making Perast a perfect blend of natural splendor and historical charm.

The Virgin of the Rock
Visiting the Virgin of the Rock was a truly astonishing experience. The natural beauty of the island and the stunning 17th-century Baroque church were breathtaking. A meeting of history and art with a unique charm.
From the outside, the temple offers a view of the beautiful blue sea of Kotor Bay. The landscape surrounding the temple was amazing.
The paintings and statues attached inside the church remind us of the depth of tradition and faith. My visit was an unforgettable spiritual experience.

Cultural Landmarks of the Republic of Montenegro| Our Lady of the Rocks (1365)
|Our Lady of the Rocks (1365). The Our Lady of the Rocks in Kotor, Montenegro, originally a rock in the sea, is expanded every year on July 22nd by local residents who throw rocks into the sea from their fishing boats, gradually forming a rock fortress. The tradition of throwing rocks into the sea is still ongoing. In 1632, a Roman Catholic church was established on the island, building a church of Our Lady, which is said to protect fishermen when they go out to sea.
