Address:
Doi Inthanon National Park, Thailand
The sacred twin Pagodas atop Doi Inthanon's Peak
Hidden in the serene tranquility of Doi Inthanon National Park in Thailand are two architectural marvels, the intertwined sacred twins - Pra Mahatat Noppamethanedon and Pra Mahatat Nopphonphusiri. Erected in honor of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit's respective 60th birthdays, these two pagodas serve as enduring memorials.
Nestled in the heart of the park, these magnificent edifices reach towards the heavens, framed by the verdant abundance of the park and the panoramic vistas beyond. Their architectural grandeur echoes the traditional Thai Buddhist temples' essence, infused with a contemporary touch that adds a dash of distinction.
The interiors house Buddha relics and intricate murals depicting the life of Buddha, inviting a moment of quiet reflection. Outside, the beautiful surrounding gardens, adorned with vibrant flowers, offer a space of serene contemplation. The panoramic views of the park and the valleys from the pagodas' grounds are equally spellbinding.
Embracing the ethos of peace and reverence, my visit to Pra Mahatat Noppamethanedon and Pra Mahatat Nopphonphusiri was a unique spiritual journey, intertwining natural beauty and profound symbolism, forever etched in my memory.

Photography enthusiasts, don't miss this!
The Phra Mahathat Naphaphonphumisiri Pagoda is located on Doi Inthanon. After exploring the summit of Doi Inthanon, drive down to the parking lot and take the shuttle provided by the staff. The fare is donation-based, just drop your contribution in the box at the back of the vehicle. The entrance fee for Thai nationals is 50 baht per person, and it's absolutely worth it.
The weather is fantastic, making you feel like you're on a cloud. In fact, clouds often come right up to you (haha). Sometimes, the view is just mist. There are escalators on both sides of the pagoda, each offering a unique but equally stunning view.
There are plenty of photo spots, with numerous angles to capture. There's a bridge, beautiful flowers, and a breathtaking view to uplift your spirits.
Can I Go
The majestic Twins of royalty
The Royal Twin Pagoda is a great historical site in the city of Chain Mai. The pagodas were established to commemorate the 60th birthday of the great King and Queen near the top of the Doi Inthanon national park. The top of the pagodas goes up into the clouds and there are spiraling staircases and a provision of escalator for people with walking disabilities. Inside the pagodas is a beautiful statue of Buddha with stunning artworks.outside the landscape looks beautiful and pleasant. It’s a wonderful landmark surrounded by nature and greenery. #trip #Travel #Thailand #culture #Pagoda #chiangmai
