My Itinerary - 2 nights in Antibes
#myitinerary
Part of my 11 days trip to the French riviera, I made a memorable stop in the lovely seaside town of Antibes. If you have similar plans, here is broadly what you should be covering. I'm not the one for typical list of sightseeing. I like to take my time and soak in the vibe. So this plan will be a more relaxed one. While Antibes is not too big. I think it does deserve more than a day. This will allow for a more laid back way of exploring it.
Day 1 - As you try to orient yourself with a new place. The best way is to wander around the old town. In case of Antibes, there is a harbour too and both are near each other. The old citadel is simply gorgeous. Near the rampart, you can experience the market. It tends to be a lively affair and will give you several options in places for lunch. The later half ofnthe day should be about exploring the other side of the town. Fort Carre and several of the beaches will make for a fantastic stroll and sunset destination. This is a new place and a lovely one. You'll have many options in restaurants for dinner.
Day 2 - After a nice breakfast you want to do the cape tour, one of the highlights of antibes. It's a walking tour and will take you anywhere between 2-3 hours with plenty of views. Here's what I did, I carried a pack for picnic. The coast line is gorgeous with plenty of swimming spots. At the end of the tour and after that swim, I reached the chic district of Juan-les-pins where I visited the small hut satisfying Picasso museum. That evening was about cocktails and more lovely food.
