Jieyang | Unique old city memories.
| Unique old city memories. The McDonald's at Jin Xian Men Square was a dream that seemed out of reach
The shops on Datong Street haven't changed much in ten years
The ghost street at Shishi Bridge was rumored to be haunted when I was a kid
The uncle on the tricycle is still working day after day
This is the normal life in a small town
Cherish the people and things around you, for fear that the bright future will come, and the people on the same road will not return

Jieyang is an amazing place. The attractions here are all close together, making it very convenient to explore.
The Jieyang Confucian Temple is one of the best-preserved Confucian temples in eastern Guangdong. It dates back to the Song Dynasty, nearly a thousand years ago. Walking through the ancient architectural complex, you can truly feel the profound essence of Confucian culture. If you have any interest in history, this is a must-visit spot.
Jinxian Gate is an ancient city gate built during the Ming Dynasty and is a landmark of Jieyang. Standing on the gate and looking into the distance, you can see the entire ancient city, making it a perfect spot for photos.
In the evening, head to Shuangfeng Temple, which is about a ten-minute walk from the Confucian Temple. Around six or seven in the evening, the night view is stunning. After your visit, you can enjoy some beef rice noodles nearby, which are absolutely delicious.
On the second morning, you can visit Jieyang Catholic Church, which is hidden near a residential area and is quite unique. This church has a history of over a hundred years and combines both Chinese and Western architectural styles, giving it a solemn and majestic feel. This place is not just a site of religious faith but also a testament to the cultural diversity of Jieyang, making it worth a quiet visit to fully appreciate.
For accommodation, stay at the Lavande Hotel near Jinxian Gate. It's just a few steps away from the gate and about a twenty-minute bus ride from the high-speed rail station, with buses running every thirty minutes, making it very convenient.

If you plan to return at three o'clock in the afternoon on the second day, you can just visit one attraction on that day. This route perfectly combines history and nature, allowing you to fully experience the cultural charm of Jieyang in two days and one night.
