🇦🇺Melbourne | Winter Night Market
My friend led me to this winter market in Melbourne yesterday. It was one of the most popular places in the city. There were shops and food stores around. It’s a surprise to me seeing people doing silence disco and a clown performing his tricks.
The best of the night was snow!!! Can’t imagine it’s snowing at the market.
The winter market is operating every Wednesdays with fun activities to carry out. It’s so different from the morning one.
Highlights - Snow and everything you couldn’t imagine
Avg. Price per Person - Free for entrance
Rating - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Sugar sugar doughnuts
Queen victoria market famous sugar doughnuts did not disappoint. It was freshly made on the spot and served hot. Did not know that there was jam inside but eventhough i was never a fan of jam doughnuts, it did not taste bad. The jam was sweet but light.
The dough was soo good , not too heavy and soft and the sugar was just right.
Price wise: 5 for $10 was a little pricy considering that it was alot cheaper years back.
Do drop by when you are visiting Queen Victoria market in Melbourne, Victoria.

QVM is always a go-to destination for everyone visiting or living in Melbourne! They sell EVERYTHING there. From fresh produce to tourist’s souvenirs, cheeses and wines to arts and crafts, various food trucks, make sure you bring a big shopping bags (or better, shopping trolley!) here.
Follow the crowd when you’re there. I noticed a very long queue and they were all queuing for a $1 bags of veggies. Can’t buy those at supermarkets for sure!
Address - Queen St, Melbourne, Australia
Opens everyday except Monday and Wednesday (but they have Night Market on Wednesdays during winter time).

Souvenirs Haven - Queen Victoria Market 🛍️
#wecreate
Buying souvenirs during your travel can be a bit complicated sometimes as it depends on the space on our luggage/bag left, the price and also the weight you have to carry after.
But no need to worry as in Queen Victoria Market you will be able to purchase various type of souvenirs. There’s lot of option such as keychains, socks, tote bag, T-shirt, woodcraft and the list just goes on.
The price is so affordable as you can get about 6-10 magnets/keychain combo for as low as AUD10. A really good bargain compared to the other shops. Besides souvenirs, you can also grab some food as there’s lot of food truck and cafe in the market area offering variety of meals/snacks.
And if you’re planning to visit State Library Victoria its just around 10 minutes walk and you may continue your journey to Chinatown after that - only 5 minutes walk.

Get A Burek Here (Queen Victoria Market)
Address: Queen St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia
Amenities: Wet market, dry market, both indoor and outdoor variants, selling raw food, cooked food, service stores and many more
Rating: 4/5
Highlight: Burek
The largest open air market in the Southern Hemisphere! That’s what google says when I was researching for my trip. Well it’s true, it was really very big! It was really cool being here, soaking in the environment, listening to artists basking outside the market. The whole experience was a treat!
What was most impressive to us was just the variety of things being sold at the market. The indoor market had stores selling raw meat, coffee beans, cooked food, toys and just many many different things. Their outdoor market had stores that sold honey, fruits, accessories, clothes, and even had stores that takes pictures of your eye pupils.
My main takeaway from this place is the Burek. It’s actually a middle eastern pastry. Usually with flaky dough and stuffed with meat, cheese or potatoes. It’s like a variant of a chicken pot pie, or curry puff. Be sure to try one out if you decide to visit this place!

The Mussel Pot That's Worth The Wait
Wait 30 minutes for a bowl of yummy mussels. Like what? But this bowl of mussels from the mussel pot food truck at queen Victoria Market in Melbourne is worth the wait. The queue can be as long as a 45 minutes wait at times.
When I was there, there was already a group of people waiting patiently for their mussels and it's no surprise why this food truck is so popular. I had the white wine garlic mussels, served with a slice of crispy bread. The dish was comforting, and the mussels were fresh and tasted garlicky and yummy! Their coconut cream chili mussels was also highly recommended.
Now that I m back home, I really miss this dish and food truck alot. I can't seem to recreate the same taste or recipe as The Mussel Pot food truck. Wish I can back in Melbourne for this!

Artsy handmade crafts
Many shops at Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne sell amazing handcrafted works of art. From graffiti paintings, to handmade soap, to intricately cut-out greeting cards, there is an endless number of nice souvenirs to buy. It can get a little crowded so the tip is to go earlier when the market is just opening up.
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

this is a must try in Melbourne Australia! went to the queen Victoria market which is also a place you should definitely visit during your time in Melbourne. you can take a tram here directly from the central business district and stops right outside the market. the doughnuts were so good. this is like a food truck on its own and you should definitely get one. the sugar on the doughnuts make it so much better and the jam was so great’ even though I wasn’t someone who likes jam. highly recommended to try!! store owner were also very friendly and you can choose to buy 1 or 5, or any quantity depending on your choice.

Super fresh huge Oysters
Yum yum, first time I saw the big and fresh Oysters, we got them from Victoria Market, VIC. Taste so fresh and lovely.
Another famous food at Victoria Market is doughnut. Long waiting line but worth for the waiting to eat the beautiful doughnut. 5 for $7.50
We took the free tram from the city to a tram stop calls Victoria Street. You will find it is a big market, selling a lot of very beautiful bags, clothes, earrings, art works, toys and so on.
There are another section selling fruits and veggie. I enjoyed shopping here with my family. Everyone including my husband bought stuff that we like. #familytravel

When I was traveling abroad, I liked to go to the local food market and feel the authentic humanities. The effect of taking pictures and recording videos was particularly good.
We generally call this market Wei Ma. Here, you can see wonderful street performers, buy the most authentic Australian cuisine (such as grilled kangaroo meat) and souvenirs, and find Chinese bosses to buy Asian vegetables and spices. The market is divided into several areas, selling raw meat, fruits and vegetables, cooked food, souvenirs, plants, etc., the owner of each store is very warm and hospitable. Especially when closing the door every afternoon, the owner of the vegetable shop will sip a big sale, and you can buy a lot of dishes and go home haha.
There are regular events in the market, such as the European Food Festival, Book Fair, Winter Night Market, Photo Exhibition and more.
Next week (June 22nd) there is a grand truffle food festival where you can taste a variety of delicious truffle products such as truffle pizza, chocolate, cheese and more. Going to the restaurant to eat truffles is not only expensive, but also difficult to find genuine, but at the Victorian Loose Festival, you can taste the most authentic Australian truffles at the best price! The
location is in the city centre and is located in the free tram area. Take tram 19, 57 or 59 to get off at Elizabeth St, or take bus 55 to get off at Peel St. Be sure to check the business hours of the day before you go~
Recommended shops:
The Chicken Pantry:
has been open for more than 20 years, mainly for sellers of poultry. Also selling the fried kangaroo meat, the taste is very good, not smashing or chaos, and the taste of beef is very similar, it is recommended to visitors to feel it!
Bills Farm Dairy Shop:
One of the best dairy stores in Melbourne, the cheese variety in the store is very comprehensive. Here you can buy Australia's best quality blue cheese, truffle cheese and more.
M&G Caiafa Bakery:
This is a bread shop that has been open for more than 40 years. Many locals go from snacks to big ones. You can buy a cup of hot chocolate with fresh hot sizzling, open a full day ~
Rewine Grape Hotel:
A wine shop opened by a passionate old couple, mainly selling Australian local wine. It is characterized by the ability to bring empty bottles to refill at a discounted price, which is very environmentally friendly.
Joe Leuzzi Florist:
The reason for recommending this flower shop is that their shop is a small pavilion on the roadside, and the photo is very good. There is always a street performer next door to the store. It is very literary, very Melbourne~
Koko Black handmade chocolate shop:
This is my unlimited chocolate shop! I don't usually like to eat sweet and greasy chocolate, but this family has a lot of handmade chocolates, and the packaging is good for giving. I love to buy macadamia with dark chocolate, slightly bitter, and the taste is not too greasy, delicious and healthy.
Market lane coffee:
Melbourne's famous coffee chain, currently has six. Coffee beans are baked by themselves and will be replaced by season.
Crown.
What to do in Melbourne on a Sunday morning?
Check out Queen Victoria market!
It’s located within free tram zone so there’s no way you’ll miss checking out this place! Unless you want to sleep in😅
Try the popular freshly made jam doughnuts! Just make sure to come early as the queue gets crazy later in the day. $10 for 5 doughnuts
If you are a fan of meat! Try the mix platter from the red tent that sells porchetta. The best $20++ I spent 🤤, good for 2 people or 3 for small eaters

Market Lane ☕️ @ Queen 👸 Victoria
This is definitely a coffee joint you wouldn’t want to miss out on 😌.
Are you someone that has interest in Espresso Coffee Beans 🫘 or preferred filter Coffee Beans instead ?
Although this cafe area has no seats to dine in, but trust me, almost every single corner it’s photogenic 😏. (unless you were to seat outside the cafe, facing to the main road 🛣️ side)
Cafe Staffs are also very loveable, chit chatty, friendly etc.
They are very prompt and responsive.
I had totally enjoyed their Iced Cafe Latte wholeheartedly.
Trust me, you can pair this coffee ☕️, with either a nearby Sugar Cane drink for a refreshing taste, if not able to walk 🚶♀️ slightly around the corner to try-out the American Donut Kitchen 🍩 (only for takeaways too), but the donut filling is amazeballs.
I can’t wait for my next visit to this coffee joint again. This time round I will want to try out different coffee beans to further enhanced my tastebuds. 😋

Vibrant market at Queen Victoria
This market is everything you need! They literally sell all kind of things, eg food, coffee, fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, souvenirs and even cloths! You can easily spend more than 2 hours browsing around this market.
We had our breakfast here before we explore this place, ordered a toasty from the famous toasty shop, it was so delicious!! The toast is perfectly toasted and the cheese goes really well with the ham and toast! We also had their famous coffee, had to quite for a bit but no retreats!
There are so many things to see, this place is so clean and nice to walk around. Just to take note that some of the stall can be quite pricey, I would advise to check out other stalls for comparison before making decision. Happy shopping!

It is everyone’s favourite place to go not only the locals but also tourists for all kinds of things you need plus good food and drink.
Fresh seafood such as oysters is a must to have. They are fresh and relatively cheap. Always ask for one dozen opened, squeeze lemon juice on top and eat right away.
Fresh seafood and meat, organic veggies, local produces and homemade food, breads, pies and cakes and so on.

To visit in Melbourne, Australia, here are 7 places you need to go:
Memorial Temple
This is one of the darker scenes in this city, which will surely inspire you to reflect on the sacrifices made by the fallen in the First World War. Shortly after the end of the war, the Shrine was erected in the King's Domain Gardens and remains the focus of ceremonies on ANZAC Day (April 25th) and Remembrance Day (November 11th) each year. Afterwards, head to some of Melbourne's famous markets; the South Melbourne Market or the Queen Victoria Market are also great options.
Federal Square
Opened in 2002 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the federation, it features stylish geometric modern design in stark contrast to the historic Victorian architecture surrounding Melbourne. That being said, exploring the area is one of the best activities in Melbourne as they often host a plethora of events and entertainment. Usually held in the outdoor performance area of Federation Square, there is a good chance that there will be some events taking place during your visit.
São Paulo Cathedral
It was built in 1868 and is a stunning example of Australian Gothic Revival architecture. It is free to enter, so after admiring the impressive exterior, be sure to go inside and take a look.
Melbourne Museum
The collection is extremely diverse, from the Indigenous Centre (Bunjilaka) to the Children's Museum. The building itself is impressive from the outside, and the surrounding gardens and parks are also great places to explore or stop for a picnic.
Eureka Tower
This impressive skyscraper stands 91 stories tall, crowned with gold. Its gilding pays tribute to the Victorian-era gold rush, and from the ground, the sparkling facade is a sight to behold. Head up to the 88th-floor observation deck for an unparalleled view of the city below. If you're looking for a scenic activity, this is easily one of the best things to do in Melbourne.
Melbourne Star
This is an observation Ferris wheel, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city from a height of 40 floors and 360 degrees.
Royal Botanic Gardens
These gardens cover about 40 hectares and are widely regarded as one of the best gardens in the world. You can see over 50,000 plant species here (impressive, right?), including some rare ones. Don't miss the chance to take a fascinating journey through Australian Aboriginal cultural heritage by walking along the Aboriginal Heritage Walk that passes through the gardens. After exploring the gardens all morning, grab a refreshing drink at one of Melbourne's best coffee shops, Manchester Press, where they make a mean Italian-style espresso.
