Wonderful Royal Park Rajapruek
The Royal Park Ratchaphruek sits in Mae Hia sub-district and covers an area of 240,000 square meters, divided into different zones you need to spend the whole day here if you want to explore everything.
Perched at the center is an authentic Lanna architecture of Ho Kham Luang Royal Pavilion where a painting exhibition about life and works King Bhumibol is displayed inside. You should not miss to visit the Orchid Garden to see rare orchids and International Gardens to hop into different styles of gardens curated by different participating countries, such as South Korea, China, Japan and Bhutan, to represent their cultures.
Other zones include the World of Insects, Rare Plants and Corporate Zone. Trams are provided and do bring an umbrella as it can be really hot during the day. I really enjoyed it.

The Night Light of Flora Fest
Royal Park Raja pruek is usually a place for jogging, but now there is an event called “The Night Light of Flora Fest”. The garden itself was beautiful, but Lighting decorations were even more gorgeous. They have decorated the garden in Rabbit New Year theme, so many spots for taking pictures. Many shops and food stalls were interesting. Also there were many shows to see such as Lanna dancing.
Entrance fee: 70-100 Baht (free for monk and handicap)
Parking: plenty

It was an unforgettable relaxation trip to Thailand with my husband. Hotel and flight are very cheap , It was 7days trip but we end up extending our stay for another 7 days , It was very peacful with fresh environment , it was healing moment for me and my husband and we enjoy riding and travelling on rental bike which was way cheaper. i highly recommend to those people who are living in a crowded and busy environment should visit Chengmai to boost your energy even if it is for few days trip it will really help to heal #naturalwonders #familytravel #awesomepic

Indeed it is a lovely location for photo shoot and to roam around. Very close to the zoo and many fine restaurants. Great area for bikers and hikers, family photos and video shoot. A calm and peaceful atmosphere☺️🙏🏻🦾this park is HUGE, GRAND, and everything is WELL MAINTAINED ! it is so big that there are golf carts for circulating visitors, or even rent-a-bike inside the park ! the landscape is well planned, and the greeneries are carefully planted and maintained. unfortunately, when we were here some parts of the park were closed for a function. The Grand Pavilion is the highlight, everything inside and outside are so detailed, kind of elaborative Thai art and architecture. the best season to come is the end of the year (with more varieties of plants and flowers), but be reminded that it will be still very warm during the day. you may need to plan at least 2 hours here.

It is a tourist trap but still worth a visit, especially if you're traveling as a couple. It is a perfect place to take beautiful pictures as a couple on vacation. The International Gardens sections gives great insight visitors of how the Thai people view other people's nation and culture. It is big park so I recommend taking the free shuttles to get around.
Or, for 60 baht you can rent a bike and explore the area on your own.

Thai Royal Park Rajapruek
#songkran2024 The Thai Royal Park Rajapruek is a definite must-see for tourists and visitors of Chiang Mai.
With both shuttle buses and taxi access (for only a few quid) it's somewhere you can easily spend a whole day perusing these beautifully green and opulent grounds.
Entrance fee (which is cash only) includes a free map of the grounds where you can explore with ease, and you can even hire bikes should you wish to do so.
The temple* that is at the centre this park is stunning and you can learn lots about the King, the history of the king and his history with the people and land of Thailand.
There are numerous facilities throughout the site for coffees, cool drinks and ice-cream, etc. as well as plenty of toilets, and plenty of places to sit and take in the beautiful landscape. And yes, there is also a cute gift shop.
The only thing I would advise is to go early, around 10 am, so that you can see as much as possible before the mid-day sun really hits.
*This is the only part that would be inaccessible to wheelchair users, but they also get free entry.

Ratchaphruek Royal Gardens
Upon entering the Ratchaphruek Royal Gardens, a straight and spacious walkway connects several artificial fountains and artistic sculptures, with botanical gardens of various sizes on both sides. Inside the botanical gardens, there are tropical rainforest plants, desert plants, and forest plants growing in different climatic conditions. To the northeast of the avenue, there stand the national pavilions built by various countries during the Expo, from which one can still glimpse the grandeur of the Expo at that time.

Chiang Mai's Rajapruek Royal Gardens
The royal garden is very large. When we first arrived, there happened to be an event where artists were teaching umbrella painting, there was pleasant Northern Thai music, and free Northern Thai snacks were available. Children could also participate in coloring piggy banks and paint whatever piggy banks they wanted.
Everything was free, and you could take your painted items home. Suggested visiting time: 3 hours. Admission fee: 200 Thai Baht for adults. Special recommendations: Orchid Garden, Butterfly Garden, Air-conditioned Flower Garden. There are lots of flowers and plants, as well as some classic architecture from different Asian countries. There is a tour vehicle that takes you around. The tour vehicle departs every 15 minutes; it's a kind of express vehicle, very convenient, and quite beautiful. It's especially suitable for friends who love photography. The best time to visit is recommended to be after 3 PM, when it's not so hot and perfect for taking photos.

The first time I met the rainy season in Thailand, the rain did not stop from morning till night. At this time, it is better to go to the suburbs and go to the small scenic spot Chiang Mai Lachapa Royal Garden. This is a must-have place in Chiang Mai.
Riding a bicycle, the breeze blew, the floral tree shape. Although it is in the rainy season, it does not affect the chic scenery brought by this garden. The Lanna-style building in the middle is a court that simulates the Lanna dynasty. It is full of flowers and green meadows and mountains. It adds a few court styles to this northern garden. There is also an international garden, and each garden is rich in the characteristics of its country, so that you can experience multi-national style once!

The cold room at the Royal Garden of Rachapa is a rare European courtyard in Chiang Mai. At least 100 kinds of flowers have been planted in the whole room. I have more than a dozen names, and many European fountains and sculptures stand in the garden, adding a romantic atmosphere.
There are benches in the garden, sitting in such a delightful and comfortable garden, it is really happy. Out of the garden, walked over the bridge, and went to the park's road, a bus full of students.

[Traveling the stunning water palace]
I counted the head of the car, it took us through a beautiful theme garden until the center of the royal garden, I screamed Car, this is too beautiful, a beautiful and magnificent palace, just opposite the lotus pond! After a long approach and a high step, we worshipped a great Thai building. It was very hot outside. After taking off my shoes and entering the temple, I sat cross-legged in the teak hall. Listening to the quiet Thai music, I was so cool that I didnt want to go. The main hall is decorated with flower-like wind chimes, and the sound is crisp.
