Thailand's Koh Samet May Day Travel Guide
🏝️ Koh Samet, a place where you can forget all your troubles 🇹🇭
Koh Samet is a pristine forested island next to Bangkok, known as 'Paradise Island'. It features white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and not-to-be-missed sunrises and sunsets. Especially the island's 'Diamond Beach', where the waves sparkle and the cotton-like sand is super comfortable.
• The island also has many wonderful forests waiting to be explored! You can go beachcombing for sea cucumbers, dig for oysters, and even climb to the highest peak of the island to see the endless beautiful scenery
• Of course, the food is not to be missed either. The seafood on the island is very fresh, and there are many local snack stalls that are affordable and authentic. Additionally, there are many popular restaurants on the beach where you can enjoy delicious food while listening to the sound of the waves on the soft sandy beach, with torch performances at night 🔥
Moreover, the accommodations here are mostly by the sea, with various types of hotels, homestays, and beach huts, which can basically meet the needs of different groups of people 🏨
• Besides relaxing and sunbathing on the beach, you can also participate in various water activities: snorkeling, kayaking, diving, and sea fishing!
Circle the key points
Some hotels on the island offer their own shuttle boat services 🚢

🧡 It takes about 30 minutes from Ban Phe Pier to Koh Samet by boat
💙 Departing from Bangkok, you can choose to charter a car and transfer to a boat, or buy a combined ticket for a bus and van to the boat 🎫

Self-driving on Koh Samet|Enjoy the freedom of the wind
Rented a motorbike on Koh Samet and rode around the island (about 150 THB/hour, 400 THB🐷 per day, negotiable, deposit passport or cash). The beaches on the east side of the island are all beautiful, with white and fine sand 🌊 and the water is very clear, like a glass sea~
💎Diamond Beach has the finest white sand, very powdery and soft. The area around Diamond Beach is very lively, with the main street here, and many choices of hotels, restaurants, convenience stores, and massage parlors. There are fireworks shows at night, each show starts at different times, some start at 7:30, and they are really cool🆒~
Also went to the viewpoint at the southernmost tip of the island, 🌄 you can see both the sunset and sunrise, but there are no other restaurants nearby except for a Paradise Hotel, so you can only enjoy the scenery, it's really remote, 🏍️ it takes 20 minutes by motorbike to get to Diamond Beach~
Tips:
🎫Island entry fee:
Since it is a national park island, there is an entry fee, 200 THB for adults and 100 THB for children, keep the ticket stub
🚌Island transportation - Songthaew:
Take the green Songthaew from the pier, show the hotel name, and it will take you directly to the hotel, the fare ranges from 20 to 100 THB depending on the distance

Jump at Sea
Jump at Sea is a cute cafe that offers all-day breakfast. The menu features delicious items such as a gooey ham and cheese sandwich grilled on a gentle flame, and beautiful cakes for every season. It's sure to please both the giver and the receiver. I highly recommend the delicious coconut cake, ready to serve. The cafe is located on the way to Saikaew Beach, right next to the national park office.

Bangkok's Nearest Beach!🇹🇭
#timetotravel
Koh Samet is the nearest and the most convenient beach to go to from Bangkok which is only 3 hours away and a short boat ride. There are a lot of beaches to choose from but we chose the most visited beach in Koh Samet which the Sai Kaew beach. We stayed here for 3 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beach has white fine sand and the water is great too. There are a lot of bars and restaurants that you can choose from. Enjoy!
How to get there: take a bus from Ekkamai to koh samet pier then take a boat ride from Ban phe to koh samet.

Sai Kaew Villa 2. (Picture attached)
Not just here, many places in Thailand, people show least interest to outsiders other than westerners, especially their gestures and attitude towards fellow Asian people is something else, They keep me and friend waiting for almost an hour, kept pushing our order behind while the staffs are ignoring and responded rudely. They kept serving westerner some of them who came after us. Almost an hour later, I went up to the counter and the waiter said something In thai to the lady there, she just grabbed my the money we paid and handed it over to me…
I am from Bhutan and in my country if you are a foreigner you are a foreigner and get the same respect and support.
I took this picture as I left the place hungry
I was saddened by the situation.
