Ho Tung Library | I would like to call it "the most beautiful library in Macau"
Autumn and winter in Macau have arrived
Finally, you can start the city walk in the warm light
‼️
"It is said that bookstores are Utopia built by idealists"
So what does a library immersed in world heritage look like?
I seem to have found it, I would like to call it the most beautiful Utopia
🔹After getting off the bus, you can find this library along the unique Portuguese road. You will really like the surrounding scenery! The blue-green, pink and other colors are well-arranged, making it particularly harmonious and beautiful. Ho Tung Library is here, in the historical city of Macau, with many cultural heritages nearby. Friends said: I'm really going to cry for the beauty of this street😭
🔹Ho Tung Library is like a secret treasure garden, worth exploring. The library has a garden where you can sit and chat, and there will occasionally be concerts🪗, you can also sit outside and chat; walking into the library, you will find its huge energy, with outdoor reading rooms, children's reading rooms, book areas, reading areas, foreign language book areas, audio-visual materials areas, etc., with European romantic design💕
🔹We chose a window seat in the reading area, the shadows of the trees in the sun, the lake rippling. There are already many readers reading in the reading area📖, the desk has charging sockets, and there is public internet
🔹Reading in Ho Tung Library is a kind of enjoyment, the joy of slow life! 🧸I highly recommend book lovers to read, you will discover another kind of reading romance, the most beautiful Utopia!
📌Tips:
1⃣️No eating in the library, nor in the garden❌
2⃣️Take care of the reading environment, do not damage the pages when reading books📚
3⃣️No professional equipment for taking pictures in the reading room❌
4⃣️The surrounding environment is beautiful, in the historical city area, rich in cultural heritage, nearby there are churches⛪️, Rose Hall, Ren Ci Tang Building, Civil Affairs Bureau Building, Yishiting Square, Dasanba Archway, etc.

The Ho Tung Library is located on the hilltop of the historic district of Macau, and was originally the private residence of Hong Kong tycoon Ho Tung in Macau. After Ho Tung's death in 1955, his descendants followed his will and donated the property to the Macau government to be developed into a library. The library has a Chinese-Portuguese architectural style, and the garden features a distinctive Lingnan style.

This is the only garden library in Hong Kong and Macao. It consists of two parts. The new part is the modern glass main building, which was expanded by the government, and used for reading. The old part is the former residence of Robert Ho Tung Bosman, which is mostly used for business and exhibitions. The stairs of the new building are enhanced by lighting and a skylight.

The old city of Macau is full of scenic spots. The bright yellow Sir Robert Ho Tung Library is the only garden-themed library in Hong Kong and Macau. Its yellow appearance is very photogenic. There's also an exhibition here about the history of books.
