[2024 Bali Stay] Travel Guide for Soori Bali (Updated Nov)
The Soori Bali Hotel is like a stunning paradise hidden away from the world, and vacationing here is just fantastic
Soori Bali Hotel is located in the dreamy Tabanan region of Bali, a secluded paradise! This is Bali's virgin land, yet untouched by modern civilization, where the daily life of the villagers – including rice farming and deity worship rituals – is imbued with a pure spiritual force.
The hotel's design is also very unique! Lush gardens, along with spring courtyards and ventilation wells, interact organically with space, light, and surface elements. The hotel makes extensive use of local materials, preserving the local cultural color, and each villa has a private pool to enjoy the beautiful scenery, with the widest view of the magnificent seascape and a private holiday. The black sand beach formed by volcanic ash glows under the sunset, which is incredibly beautiful!
We stayed in an ocean pool villa – with an outdoor courtyard and private pool, and stairs leading directly to the beach. The simple and unique interior design perfectly combines the pleasant natural scenery, offering a view of the sea while maintaining a private vacation space. The interior space uses a translucent design – allowing natural light and sea breeze to pass through naturally, and the outdoor pavilion is the best choice for relaxing and enjoying the day and night views!
The hotel's restaurant and SPA are also very good – last night's dinner at Cotta restaurant was super romantic, with a semi-open dining environment that easily captures the scenery. Soori SPA is a place built with native Balinese stone, combining lighting, Balinese rustic wood carvings, and other decorative designs, quite mysterious – I had a SPA this afternoon, and it was so comfortable, I must also specially recommend this morning's sunrise breakfast in the rice fields – the atmosphere with the croaking frogs and chirping birds was absolutely amazing! Soori Hotel is this kind of niche luxury, where the black sand beach and rice fields blend perfectly – definitely a secret spot not to be missed when vacationing in Bali!

Soori Bali is Bali as it should be. Set on the edge of the ocean between the Mount Batukaru and terraced rice fields, the resort is crafted from local materials and operates with a commitment to environmental and cultural sustainability. Soori Bali is designed, owned and operated by renowned architect Soo K. Chan and his wife Ling Fu, who chose to include Balinese design elements throughout the resort, such as terracotta tiles created by local specialists and bronze and stone accessories designed in collaboration with craftsmen in the community. Within his worldwide project portfolio, Soo K. Chan says he holds Soori Bali the clo

How to play like a local in Bali?
As an island formed by volcanic eruptions, the most distinctive feature of Bali is not the jellyfish sea and white sandy beaches, but the endless black sand beaches formed by the Indian Ocean's surging waves crashing against volcanic rock walls.
The Sulibie Villa, with black, white, and green as its main color scheme, may not be "very Bali" under the scorching sun of the southern hemisphere, but it is the most authentic representation of Bali.
Behind the hotel is a large area of rice fields and villages, where villagers live a primitive life of slash-and-burn agriculture. Experiencing Bali here is not just about going to the night market and ordering a big plate of seafood, but also about working together with the villagers, sitting down and chatting about gods and the Great Wall.
I really enjoy this non-commercial way of traveling, where memories of watching the wind blow through the rice paddies under the coconut trees and chatting over tea with villagers are much more profound than just taking photos for social media.

You must stay at this beautiful black sand beach luxury villa in Bali: Soori Bali.
Bali is located to the east of Java Island in Indonesia. It is a world-famous tourist destination known for its beautiful beaches, tropical vegetation, ancient culture, and unique artistic style. Bali has a magnificent coastline, white sandy beaches, and green waters. It is also the only region in Indonesia that believes in Hinduism. Tourists can participate in various activities in Bali, such as surfing, diving, yoga, rafting, hiking, etc.
In this dreamland located in the Tabanan area of Bali, there is a hidden paradise, Soori Bali. The hotel is located in Tabanan, Bali, an untouched virgin land that has not been eroded by modern civilization. It has unique natural landscapes and geographical conditions, from the towering volcanoes that are about to erupt to the lush and charming forest terraces, from the unique black sand beaches to the magnificent Indian Ocean, all showing the magic of nature. The daily life of the villagers here includes rice field farming and worship ceremonies, all of which contain simple spiritual power, which can be summarized as the traditional life philosophy of Bali, that is, the three elements of happiness: harmony with God, harmony with people, and harmony with nature.
There are more than 50 villas in the resort, scattered between the lush green platform and the black beach, overlooking the Indian Ocean. The design of the villa retains Asian elements and highlights the green environmental protection theme. The construction materials use a lot of natural materials from Bali. Each villa has a private swimming pool and a private terrace overlooking the Indian Ocean. The villa faces the sea, and the Indian Ocean is in sight. The surrounding area is a pastoral style with forests.

The Arcadia Jungle Trekking and Picnic Tour at Soori Bali is amazing!
I stayed at the ninth hotel for my birthday vacation in Bali this year: Soori Bali. The hotel is located in the dreamy Tabanan region of Bali, like a hidden paradise untouched by modern civilization! This pristine land, not yet eroded by modern civilization, still preserves the villagers' original way of life, including rice farming and religious ceremonies, all imbued with a simple spiritual power.
I signed up for a trekking tour at Soori Bali, and the experience was really fantastic! The Tabanan region where the hotel is located is a hidden paradise untouched by modern civilization, still preserving the villagers' original daily lifestyle. The trekking route takes you to the more primitive Gunung Salak, through the jungle to a waterfall where you can swim, and then continue walking to a gazebo by the rice terraces for a picnic, with great views and scenery!
I really like the design of Soori Bali, very chic! The lush gardens, together with the spring courtyards and ventilation wells, interact organically with space, light, and surface elements. The hotel makes extensive use of local materials, maintaining local cultural colors, and each villa has a private pool to enjoy the beautiful scenery, with the broadest view of the magnificent seascape and a private holiday. The black sand beach formed by volcanic ash glows under the sunset, which is incredibly beautiful!
