Dear traveler, if you are looking for a domestic holiday island trip, consider Koh Larn next to the Gulf of Siam. It is only a short boat ride from Pattaya, but it has clear blue sea and soft sandy beaches. From the Pattaya pier, it takes only about half an hour by boat, and you can choose to get off at Na Ban pier or Ta Waen beach pier. If you want to stay overnight, you can choose the Na Ban pier to the reserved hotel; if you just want a day trip, return in the afternoon, you can go directly to Ta Waen beach to play. The seaside scenery is charming, and you can enjoy the sun, beach, and waves. On Koh Larn, you can go to Maha Rak cafe for a meal and rest. This popular cafe is very design-oriented and very suitable for taking pictures. If you want to be quiet, you might as well go to Nual beach for a walk, where there are fewer tourists, and you can slowly appreciate the sea view. It's also good to dine at the Sea Space restaurant, where you can enjoy a seafood feast in the sea breeze and music at night. It’s just 40 minutes boat trip from Pattaya Bali Hai Public pier to Tawaen Beach in Koh Lan island. If you take public boat you just need to pay 30 THB for one way ticket. On the pier also available other options such speed boats for 150 THB one way. Please note, that last public boat is on 5 pm. On the beach you can enjoy local restaurants and sunbathing. amazing weekend trip

This weekend, we decided to go to pattaya and Koh larn, from pattaya pier, it costs us 30 bhat to get to the island. there are lots of beaches where you can gettin tanned and swim. one of my favourite ones is Nual beach and Samae beach! long and white sand, the water is crystal clear. there are also lots of viewpoints where you can appreciate the beauty of the island. there are few Buddhist temples and statues of Thai monks on the island. if you like hiking, Tawaen and windmill viewpoint will be your top 2 stops on Koh larn. the last ferry to go back to pattaya is at 6pm, so we are pretty lucky to experience the golden hours on the island, and watch sunset on the ferry! anyways, lovely place and it’s close to Bangkok. perfect for your weekend trip #passionpassport #gooutside #beachlife #bucketlistreboot

this is one of the most popular and beautiful beaches in Koh Larn. there are lots of ways to get there, since there is also a pier here, you can get to this beach straight from pattaya. we got here by scooter. the way to come here is absolutely stunning. first you will pass by Tawaen beach viewpoint, that’s also where you can take nice pictures of the beach. Just keep in mind, this beach is extremely busy, there are lots of restaurants and shops on the beach, it’s quite expensive to get food there. if you drive a bit further, you will reach the next beach named Tong Lang beach, it’s a lot quieter and calmer from my perspective. overall this is a nice place to chill! strongly recommended #passionpassport #gooutside #beachlife

Hat Ta Waen, Koh Larn

Ta Waen Beach, Koh Larn, never boring no matter how many times. We've been here more than 5 times already 😬 It's another popular place for both Thai and foreign tourists. Before COVID, we often saw many Chinese and Western tourists at Ta Waen Beach because it's quite easy to get here and it's not far from Bangkok. You can see beautiful beaches and clear water. Just take a boat from Pattaya and it doesn't take long. You can come by big boat or speedboat. Activities here include speedboats, jet skis, sup boards, banana boat houses, and many more. Or you can rent rubber rings to play in the sea. There are many shops and restaurants to choose from. There are toilets and showers. On the first day we arrived, we didn't make it to the sunrise point, but we did make it to the sunset. Another day, we could rent a tricycle or drive a motorcycle down to the beach to watch the sunrise or drive to the viewpoint above.
