Flying Drone At Dali's Pagoda
The Three Pagodas inside the temple were first built 1800 years ago. It is a symbol of the history of Dali City, and a record of the development of Buddhism in the area. It was rebuild several times.
I went there with my friends drone to take some nice pictures and here is the result.
📍 Dali's three pagodas are a little North of Dali Old Town. You can walk, cycle there or take a bus or taxi. Every drive will know it.
🎟️ Ticket is quite expensive, around 150RMB. If you're on low budget, you can also walk up the mountain and enjoy a free view.

Guarding towers
It makes me wonder how the man made buildings can prevent disasters🌊. Maybe it is the beauty of the architecture, that even nature🌸 doesn't want to destroy it. Such is the purpose and beauty of the Three Pagodas temple located in Dali. The whole scenic area was built over different kingdoms 👑, and lot of hard work has gone into this UNESCO hertiage site. Also it is no wonder that this site has turned nearly six kings 🤴 to give up on their earthly desires and follow Buddhism 🕉, such compulsive is the serenity and calmness in here. Like other Buddhist temples🛕 in Yunnan this is also yellow hat division of monks and so you can see lot of yellow in their designs. It is one of the best trip I had in China, and I would encourage everyone to not to miss this beautiful province. #besttimeever #yunnanprovince

Mathematical expression
Probably this post of mine might sound totally nerdy and geeky🤓; as I'm here to tell you how our ancestors has incorporated mathematics, knowingly or unknowingly, to build huge magnanimous structures. This reflection 🪞 pond inside the three Pagodas 🛕 temple is located at a perfect angle to print 👣 the beauty of the structure on its surface. One clearer days, it looks even more beautiful ❤️. Also coming to talk about the number of layers in the Pagoda, it follows Fibonacci sequence (0,1,1,2,3,5,8...). Quite a marvelous creation to hike 🥾 around and enjoy for a day in Dali.

The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple
The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, a national 5A-level tourist attraction that combines the scenery of Cangshan and Erhai Lake, cultural relics, Buddhist culture, and leisure vacation, has always been a sacred travel destination in my heart. It is not only a symbol and emblem of Dali, but also a perfect fusion of history and nature.
Imagine walking under the Qianxun Pagoda, feeling the vicissitudes and tranquility that have lasted for a thousand years. As the largest of the three pagodas, the Qianxun Pagoda stands 16 stories high, with each layer engraved with historical marks, and every stone seems to tell an ancient story. The Buddha statues inside the pagoda inspire awe, as they quietly guard this land and witness the changes of history.
The Yutong Guanyin Hall presents another scene. The bronze Guanyin statue, cast in the second year of the revival of the Nanzhao Kingdom, is three Zhang high, solemn and quietly beautiful, with a slender waist and bare feet, and its graceful form is a relic of the Nanzhao Kingdom. This Guanyin statue is not only a piece of art but also a reflection of the profound religious sentiments of the Dali region.
Of course, one should not miss the Three Pagodas Reflection Park. The waters of the park are so clear that they reflect the majestic appearance of the three pagodas vividly. Standing by the pond, one can almost feel the harmony and tranquility between heaven and earth. The Bai ethnic minority dwellings, marble stele pavilions, and the rippling waves of the Yangbo Pavilion in the park are attractions that make visitors linger.
Furthermore, the splendor of the Mahavira Hall, the historical accumulation of the Duan Gong Tomb, and the long history of the Nanzhao Kingdom's construction of the Jijie Big Bell all contribute to the rich cultural heritage of the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple. This place is not just a tourist spot, but also a place where one's soul can be purified and elevated.
Thank you for sharing, which has given me a deeper understanding of the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple. I believe that one day in the future, I will surely set foot on this land myself and experience its unique charm and flavor.

National Series 112 Dali Chongsheng Temple Three Pagodas
🌈Historical background:
The three pagodas are composed of one large and two small. The large pagoda is named Qianxun Pagoda, which was built during the Nanzhao Quanfengyou period and is a typical Tang Dynasty architectural style. The outline of the two small pagodas in the south and the north is conical, which is a typical Song Dynasty architectural style and was built during the Dali Kingdom Duan Zhengyan and Duan Zhengxing period. The three pagodas stand on three feet, with the Qianxun Pagoda in the middle and the two small pagodas guarding the north and south. It is also recorded in Xu Xiake's travel notes.
🚗Highlight introduction:
The Qianxun Pagoda is the largest of the Chongsheng Temple Three Pagodas, located in the middle of the front of the two small pagodas in the north and the south, so it is also called the Central Pagoda. The tower has 16 floors, each with a niche in the center of the front, and a white marble Buddha statue in the niche. There were originally five heavy objects in the Chongsheng Temple, namely the Nanzhao Jianji Big Bell, the Rain Copper Guanyin Statue, the Three Saints Gold Statue, the 'Buddha Capital' plaque, and the Three Pagodas. Unfortunately, except for the Three Pagodas, the remaining four heavy objects and the Chongsheng Temple were destroyed in the war.
🎫Ticket information:
Tickets are 75.
✨Travel suggestions:
A must-visit spot in Dali, you can climb to the top of the Sea-viewing Tower to see the full view of the Three Pagodas. There are many places in the entire scenic area where you can take pictures of the reflection of the Three Pagodas, such as the Tianlong Pool and the Juying Pool in the scenic spot. But more people will choose the Three Pagodas Reflection Park next to it. This park is free to enter with a scenic spot ticket, but you need to go out of the Three Pagodas scenic spot to go.

This place was a lot more relaxing than the actual Three Pagodas area.
