The internet-famous Tibetan singer Ding Zhen's hometown is Litang, known for the Love Mountain
Tu'er Mountain is part of the Haizi Mountain National Nature Reserve in Litang, with an altitude of 4696 meters. It is named for the two rocks on the steep glacial peak that resemble rabbit ears. The mountain's terrain is very peculiar; it is barren and spectacular, a relic of ancient glacial melting and gravel drift. Tu'er Mountain is also a testament to unwavering love. Legend has it that the beautiful daughter of an ancient Litang tribal leader fell in love with a servant's son. Despite their families' opposition, with the help of divine crows, they eloped here to stay together for life. Eventually, the couple turned into a pair of stone pillars resembling rabbit ears, and the mountain itself looks like a crouching rabbit, hence the name Tu'er Mountain. Located beside National Highway 227, Tu'er Mountain is 70 kilometers from Litang County and is on the essential route from Litang to Daocheng Yading. Litang, at an altitude of 4014 meters, is one of the highest cities in the world and is known as the 'City in the Sky.' It boasts a wealth of tourist landscapes, including wetlands, grasslands, snow mountains, lakes, and temples. Particularly, the vast Maoya Grassland is unforgettable, featuring the most concentrated and largest-scale Qianhu Tibetan Village cluster in the Tibetan region. Litang's yak meat soup pot, cordyceps chicken stew, Nado, Tuanjie buns, and highland milk cakes are very delicious.

Rabbit Mountain
Rabbit Mountain
Rabbit Mountain is located in the northern part of the Haizi Mountain Natural Scenic Area in Daocheng, Ganzi, Sichuan, on the Sichuan-Tibet line, Sangdui Township, with an altitude of 4696 meters. It is a must-pass for Litang to Daocheng and Yading.
It is said that in ancient times, the tribe controlled by the toast of Litang was famous in Tibet. Its territory was guarded by dozens of sacred mountains and more than ten rivers crisscrossed. What is more enviable is that the tribal leader has a daughter who looks like a fairy. Every day, other tribes come to propose marriage, which makes the leader full of face. But this daughter fell in love with the son of a servant, and loved him deeply. Due to the constraints of the caste system, the leader firmly opposed and insisted on preventing them from interacting, and came up with a way to separate them: let the two guard the border of the tribe. If they arrive before dark, they agree to marry them.
Faced with this difficult but only opportunity, they set off as soon as the day broke, and they didn’t eat a grain of food or drink a drop of water all day, but they couldn’t reach the border before dark. Seeing that this matter was hopeless, the lovers hugged each other and cried in despair... Suddenly, a divine eagle flew from the sky and landed beside them, allowing the poor lovers to ride on his back to the border. With the help of the divine eagle, they successfully reached their destination.
Finally, the lovers got married and stayed together for the rest of their lives. Later, they turned into a pair of stone pillars that depended on each other and looked like rabbit ears. The mountain line was like a crouching rabbit, so it was named Rabbit Mountain.
