Take my advice, you must bring your loved one to drive the Great Ocean Road
Visiting Melbourne, I recommend that you must go for a self-drive on the Great Ocean Road, known as the most beautiful coastal road, and it's really good.
A typical self-drive takes about 2-3 days, we were not in a hurry and took four days to slowly enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
【Itinerary】
✅D1 Hobart-Melbourne-Geelong Town
Directly fly from Hobart to Melbourne, pick up the car from the airport, and start our self-driving journey, the first day is to drive to Geelong Town.
✅D2 Geelong Beach-Anglesea Beach-Lorne Town-Apollo Bay-Cape Otway Lighthouse-Apollo Bay
1️⃣ Geelong Beach: A good place for leisurely walks, with many puppet people, it's quite nice to stroll around
2️⃣ Anglesea Beach: A rather average beach, you can skip it
3️⃣ Lorne Town: The first town you enter on the Great Ocean Road, there is a nice viewing platform where you can overlook the entire town
4️⃣ Cape Otway Lighthouse: A lighthouse standing on the edge of a cliff, the wind is particularly strong, and you can see koalas and kangaroos there
5️⃣ Apollo Bay: Also a town on the Great Ocean Road, you can choose to have lunch and stay here, close to the Twelve Apostles
✅D3 Twelve Apostles-Loch Ard Gorge-London Bridge-Bay of Martyrs-Whale Watching Platform-Warrnambool
6️⃣ Twelve Apostles: A must-visit attraction on the Great Ocean Road, now only seven apostles remain.
7️⃣ Loch Ard Gorge: A gorge named after a shipwreck, with a love story of Shipwreck Bay, where you can see the spectacular sea
8️⃣ London Bridge: Just like the rock formation of London Bridge, it's quite spectacular
9️⃣ Bay of Martyrs: Located inside Loch Ard Gorge, named after the shipwreck that claimed 52 lives
1️⃣0️⃣ Whale Watching Platform: In the town of Warrnambool, you can watch whales in winter
1️⃣1️⃣ Warrnambool: The end of the Great Ocean Road, you can choose to stay here for one night, it's quite a large town
✅D4 Port Fairy-Griffiths Island
1️⃣2️⃣ Port Fairy: Also called Fairy Port, staying in Warrnambool, it's about a 40-minute drive to Port Fairy, once listed as one of the most livable small towns in the world, it's really comfortable
1️⃣3️⃣ Griffiths Island: Next to Port Fairy, the island is only accessible on foot, you can see kangaroos, and there is an ancient lighthouse. Many people surf here.
✅D5 Return to Melbourne
On the last day, drive directly from Warrnambool back to Melbourne
【How to go】
You can fly directly to Melbourne from within the country, the Great Ocean Road is right next to Melbourne, self-driving is the best choice
【Where to stay】
For a self-drive on the Great Ocean Road, it's best to stay for two nights for a more leisurely experience, the first night can be spent in Apollo Bay, and the second night in Port Campbell or Warrnambool
【Transportation】
There is no public transportation on the Great Ocean Road, self-driving is the best choice. A domestic driver's license plus a translation is enough to rent a car, remember to buy full insurance

Natural Beauty of Twelve Apostles 🇦🇺
#melbournetrip
📍Twelve Apostles
Visited this natural beauty in Melbourne, the Twelve Apostles! We rented a car from Melbourne city and drove to the Twelve Apostles. It was a 4 hour drive from the city centre, and the road along the way which is Great Ocean Road is stunning and beautiful! The sea views along the way was such a sight to behold! The sight seeing points are well maintained and ample of parking spots were available. It was really windy and chilly when we visited during July, so do wear extra layers to keep yourself warm. Besides the Twelve Apostles, we drove to see Loch Ard Gorge, which is also another viewpoint that was nearby! Would love to revisit!

Twelve apostles - Great Ocean Road Drive
The Great Ocean Road is an ideal place for a road trip in Melbourne. Reminder to travel out early as it is rather unsafe driving with low visibility in the evening.
The coastline drive was a memorable experience and it is recommended for travellers to experience taking this route.
Do adequate research before the trip as you might be able to plot a quick stop to the Great Ocean Road chocolaterie as well.

💕 stunning nature at Twelve Apostles
#valentinescape
One of the highlights along the Great Ocean Road was the Twelve Apostles and is recommended as a must-do experience. We were won over by the truly breathtaking view of the Twelve Apostles. From different lookout points, we were treated with a different stunning vista of the limestone stacks rising out of the ocean. We also learned about the history of the area, including the early settlers and shipwrecks that occurred along the coast.
Indeed, it is a nature spot for anyone to see how these limestone stacks evolved over thousands of years through erosion and continue to be shaped by the ocean. Maybe when we visit again next time, we will have another different view of the Twelve Apostles.

Life’s a Beach! 🏖️
Part 2 of the great ocean road post belongs to the beautiful beaches along the way! many of these beaches are left untouched and preserved, this makes for beautiful photos.
This photo includes a few spots such as the grotto and the 12 apostles. It is truely wonderful to witness the remaining apostles (I believe there are about 6 remaining) as sadly they may not remain standing for much longer.

Natural wonders of world 🌎
This is the most memorable trip in Australia. I drove 3 hours+ to get there. The view is stunning and it was very cold due to the rain.
I would have enjoyed it so much more if the weather was good.
As one of the 7 natural wonders of the world, it’s definitely a must to visit. You won’t regret it.
For drivers who aren’t very experience; i will recommend to you to take the internal road to here. As for the more experienced and adventurous drivers, take the great ocean and scenic road there.
Oh man. I really hoped it didn’t rain that day, as there were several locations I’ve yet to visit when I was there.
Be sure to be warmly dressed when going there on winter, as the wind is super chilling and strong.
The sight is something unforgettable . I will love to visit it again sometime in 2023 winter!

12 Apostles is so amazing
#celebratewithtrip
We enjoyed the scenic drive along the Great Ocean Road to get to 12 Apostles. 12 Apostles platforms are one of the best lookouts in Melbourne. The view and vibe from the top were amazing. A short walk from carpark and you can spend some times to take nice photo shot ! If you are visiting Melbourne then definitely keep this place on your checklist. There are few other lookouts nearby. One of the best experiences.

I brought one of the Twelve Apostles home 🪨
Parents went here for their wedding anniversary when they were younger (and when us pesky kids weren’t born yet) and saw 9 of the twelve apostles.
When we revisited it as a family many years later, there was only 8 left. Years of erosion have caused the beautiful natural apostles to collapse slowly.
I recommend everyone who has the chance to, to visit this beautiful place while the twelve apostles still stand!
We also had the chance to walk down to the Shipwreck Coast towards the side. A very picturesque view of the ocean can be seen here, as well as plaques explaining the historical value of the location. Was not able to take photos of this plaque due to the amount of people, but it was a pretty funny story 😅 (Sorry, don’t remember what it was about but I know I had a good laugh)
Collected one of the rocks for myself too so when you guys visit, you’ll probably see seven! 👀 (For all legal reasons, this is a joke)

marvelous view..
Live in the Acts of the Apostles, and every day you will see some miracle worked by the power of the living God.
the journey along the way here has been an interesting one.. and when you reach the place.. goshhh!!! such a marvelous view of the place.. The 12 apostles of Australia are surrounded with a number of mysteries and myths and thus people from all around the world come to see these. Throughout the day, the apostles show various playing of colours. The colours change as according to the position of the sun. wish to come here in the morning to watch the view of sunrise.. next time maybe.. #12apostles #vacation

Famous Twelve Apostles of Great Ocean Road
If you drive down the Great Ocean Road in Australia, be sure to stop by the famous Twelve Apostles! The Twelve Apostles is a cluster of limestone pillars rising out of the Southern Ocean off the shore of Port Campbell National Park. These pillars were once limestone cliffs that faced constant erosion from the waves and winds.
The best view is during sunrise or sunset where you can watch as the rocks change colour under different sunlight conditions. There’s a viewing platform where you can admire the Twelve Apostles or take a stroll by the beach to see them up close.
From Melbourne, it is a 4.5 hour scenic drive along the Great Ocean Road to the Twelve Apostles. May be a long drive, but the scenery is definitely worth it!

Great Ocean Drive 12 Apostles
A long and very scenic drive around 4-5 hours away from#melbourneaustralia lies the world famous Great Ocean Drive 12 Apostles. Do time your drive properly if you are not doing a stay at the towns near the Great Ocean Road.
This amazing natural beauty lies by the ocean and never fails to draw a crowd. May be best to visit earlier to avoid your buses. It is also possible to do a helicopter tour there.

Australia is disappearing in the wonders of the world, it is too late to go.
Speaking of "Twelve Apostles" The first thing that comes to mind naturally is the "twelve disciples" recorded in the Bible. It is said that the number of "twelve" has a special meaning, as if the Old Testament had twelve Israel. There are twelve gates in the New Jerusalem, twelve angels on the door, twelve foundations on the wall, and so on, as if to prove that this is a different number from the others. In Melbourne, Australia, there is the existence of this twelve disciples.
Melbourne's Twelve Apostles actually refers to the Twelve Apostles, which is located on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria Island, Australia, in the Port Campbell National Park. We started from Melbourne by car, and it took about 3 hours to walk along the Great Ocean Road. The Twelve Apostles are actually 12 sandstones on the Pacific Ocean, because after thousands of years of baptism of the waves and sea breeze, because the number and form are similar to the twelve disciples of Jesus, it is called the twelve disciple.
Because of the erosion of day after day, the earliest "twelve disciples" are only seven and a half now. Some people say that this is a gift on the most beautiful road in the world. It is nature giving people If you don't look at it anymore, one day you will lose it. Just like no one knows, the day when the fire in Notre Dame in Paris will happen, the landscape here will suddenly collapse. So be sure to hurry up time~
It is said that the most recent collapse occurred in 2005 when a little boy and his parents witnessed the moment of the collapse, the last second of the rock still perseverance in Neri, It can be as short as 35 meters in the next second. Research scholars have said that the wonders here will all disappear one day. The moment you see is actually history.
Finally, in addition to self-driving, you can also choose to take a helicopter, but there are many people, you must make an appointment in advance, and consult the corresponding price, about 20 minutes, a few hundred Australian dollars.

Australia's most worthwhile attractions, standing by the sea, a casual shot is a blockbuster
On the Great Ocean Road in Melbourne, Australia, stands a breathtaking natural wonder—the Twelve Apostles. These massive limestone pillars stand in the surging waves of the Southern Ocean, becoming one of Australia's most iconic landmarks.
These limestone pillars are of various shapes, towering into the clouds, as if a group of giants are watching over the distant land from the sea. Their existence is not only a masterpiece of nature but also a witness to ancient history. However, the number and origin of these limestone pillars have always been shrouded in mystery.
According to local legend, there were originally twelve limestone pillars, hence the name 'Twelve Apostles.' However, over time, some limestone pillars have collapsed due to weathering or wave erosion, resulting in the current number of limestone pillars not matching the legendary twelve. The explanation in the brochures is that the collapse was caused by natural disasters, but the locals have a different story.
Locals generally believe that the name 'Twelve Apostles' was actually a commercial gimmick or a name created for easy remembrance. They point out that there has never been a precise record proving that there were ever twelve limestone pillars. Although this claim lacks concrete evidence, it adds a touch of mystery to the Twelve Apostles.
Regardless of the truth, the beauty of the Twelve Apostles is undeniable. Standing on the viewing platform, looking out, the azure sea and the limestone pillars reflect each other, forming a stunning picture. Especially at sunset, the sunlight spills over the sea, shimmering, intertwining with the silhouettes of the limestone pillars, creating a mesmerizing scene.
