Stockholm - Capital City of Sweden
I had a chance to visit few places at Stockholm during my stay such as Vasa Museum, Skansen, Zoo at Stockholm, Gamla Stan, Drottningholm Palace, Sodermalm and few more. Overall I love spending my time strolling around Gamla stan. Enjoy my time get a cup of coffee and best waffle at the cafe. If you loved history, there are a lot of city tour to be done right here to see old buildings and narrow cobblestone streets. Hope I will come back again some other time.

Trip at Stockholm's Vasamuseet
visited the Vasamuseet where a full warship from the 17th century is on display. be entranced by the grandeur and majestic appearance of the warship and learn how modern technology and techniques are employed to hoist the ship up and preserve it up to this day. entry fee is about 170 SEK which is reasonable for a memorable visit.

Stockholm - a perfect city for a lovely break

Stockholm is a great city when it comes to an autumn city break - although it is located in the north of Europe, the climate is still temperate and the weather at this time is really great! Atmospheric narrow streets, Scandinavian architecture, minimalism combined with classicism makes this place unique. I highly recommend strolling through Gamla Staan both day and night, visiting the Open Air Museum and the Vasa Museum, and for dessert, eat cinnamon Kanebulle! In terms of chocolate, it's definitely worth to try different tastes of Marabou - the popcorn one is my favourite!

Vasa Museum - certainly a museum to visit whilst in Sweden's capital Stockholm. Absolutely amazing place you should not miss.
What else you can do in Stockholm is head over to the Vasa Museum. This museum is built around a military ship that unfortunately sank on her maiden voyage. As the museum guide said: “Who was to be blamed for the failure of Vasa?” The evidence depicted King Gustavus Adolphus as the main reason for this failure. However, in 17th ct. Sweden, the King couldn’t be wrong or to be blamed and hence the inquiry at the time concluded that no one is to blame.

On August 10, 1628, the Vasa sailed from its construction site. The "Vasa" was named after the first king of the Vaasa dynasty in Sweden at the time. However, such a magnificent sailing ceremony became the ship sailing. Less than 2 nautical miles of funeral songs. The
Vaasa was ordered by the Swedish King Gustav II Adolf. The project took about 2 years. The ship has 3 masts that can hang 10 sails, 52 meters from the dome to the keel, 69 meters from the bow to the stern, and weighs 1200 tons. When it was built, it was one of the most powerful warships in human history. The Vaasa is a unique treasure trove of art. It retains hundreds of statues, and more than 95% of the components are in perfect condition, yearning for the world's tourists. Regardless of its size or appearance, the Vaasa is a pinnacle of the kingdom and the authority, strength, culture and ambition of the country.
Tickets: 130 SEK for adults; 0 (SEK) for children (0 to 18 years old); 100 (SEK) for students (with student ID)

Autumn in Stockholm
Personally I think autumn in Stockholm is a great time to enjoy exploring the city.
I love the cold but extreme cold can be exhausting, autumn however was just the perfect amount of cold with enough sun to enjoy the weather and walk for many many hours.
The Vasa museum was one of my favorite museums ever, the massive viking ship is beyond magnificent in size and beauty of details, definitely a place you shouldn't miss.

#urbanwanderings
My urban wanderings in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden and the largest city in the Nordic countries, were a perfect mix of history, culture, and modern elegance. Strolling through Gamla Stan, the city’s charming old town, I admired the narrow, cobbled streets and colorful medieval buildings. Crossing bridges over the city's iconic waterways, I explored vibrant neighborhoods like Södermalm, where creativity and contemporary art flourished. Stockholm’s royal palaces and museums, such as the Vasa Museum, offered deep insights into Sweden’s rich history. Yet, the city’s modern design, lush parks, and efficient public transport kept it forward-looking. Stockholm’s unique blend of old and new made it a captivating urban adventure.

Don’t miss Skansen, an open-air museum showcasing Swedish history and folk traditions. Enjoy a stroll through Djurgården park and take a boat tour of the archipelago. The city’s efficient public transport system and numerous cafes and restaurants make it easy to enjoy the local cuisine and vibrant atmosphere.

The VASA Museum
Amazing Must See!

Stockholm's Must-Visit Museum
If you like visiting museums, I personally think the must-visit museum in Stockholm is definitely this one. The main attraction is the Vasa, a wooden warship that was salvaged from the sea after more than three hundred years. When you see it in the museum, it has been restored very well. Reading the museum's text and watching the video introductions, you realize that the scientists really put a lot of effort into restoring the ship so well. I really admire them. If you go, I suggest you plan for more than two hours to take your time looking and listening.

Vasa Museum
#europetrip I was visiting Stockholm on a work trip and had some down time and decided to head to this museum.
The museum is amazing! Every single area of the ship is covered! From the ship that would have worked on board to the challenge they had resurfacing the ship.
It is extremely well documented and really gives you an insight in to what life would of been like all them years ago on such a large ship!
Would definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area.
