Vertigo & Moon Bar at Banyan Tree
21/100 S Sathon Rd, Khwaeng Thung Maha Mek, Sathon, Bangkok 10120, Thailand
Vertigo & Moon rooftop bar at Banyan Tree Bangkok is located on the 61st floor, offering an outstanding 360-degree view of the Bangkok skyline and its surroundings.
Food and drinks aside, the most impressive thing about Vertigo and Moon Bar is the amazing view, hence making it the perfect place for a date night or to celebrate special occasions. Breath-taking 360° degree views over all of Bangkok, where the real daredevils can step out on the glass-floored 'Moon Walk' for the perfect shot against the Bangkok skyline.
At the Banyan Tree Bangkok rooftop bar you will find most you could crave in terms of beverages. From the illuminated bar you can order expensive champagnes, exotic cocktails, beer, wine, non-alcoholic - you name it.
We tried these popular items:
1. Truffle Fries
The fries were served hot, crispy and had a strong delightful truffle aroma which made us really excited to try! However, there was not much of a lingering truffle taste we were expecting after its grand entrance.
2. Meet My Brumble Cocktail
This was a refreshing mix of Pisco, Lime, Honey, Amber Salted Berry - which came highly recommended by our server, and this did not disappoint!
3. Pattaya Sour Cocktail
This was a sweet, unique and strong blend of Bourbon Whiskey, Islay Malt, Coconut Shrub, Pandan Syrup, Lime, Cocktail Enhancer, Red Wine - which will definitely not disappoint bourbon lovers!

Situated on the 61st floor of the famous Banyan Tree Hotel, lies a stunning Restaurant & Bar with a panoramic view of Bangkok.
We decided to head here for some drinks. We were greeted by many friendly staff from the moment we stepped into the Hotel, all the way up to the bar, and back down when we left the facility.
The view was breathtaking as there wasn't any other tall skyscrapers around to block it.
It was rather crowded, but we were lucky to find an available seat by the corner of bar. We were served some complimentary bar snacks - tomyum flavoured peanuts, tapioca chips and potato chips. Very tasty to balance out our drinks.
We ordered the Mars & Moon, and the Tropical Chill - both had its unique taste and were refreshing.
Overall it was a nice experience to have when visiting Bangkok. Definitely it's somewhere you wanna bring your friends or dates to chill and chat.
Do note that there is a dress code - smart casual - so no slippers and shorts are allowed.

Bangkok's Best Observation Deck - Banyan Tree Moon Bar
If you're visiting Bangkok and looking for a great spot to view the city's skyline, consider the Moon Bar at the Banyan Tree Hotel. Unlike the Mahanakhon Skywalk, which charges around 200 baht for entry without drinks, the Moon Bar offers a more cost-effective option.
Open daily from 5 PM, it requires no entry fee but has a minimum spend. You can purchase a voucher for 800 baht per person, approximately 160 RMB, which allows you to enjoy two drinks. The voucher is non-refundable but can be used multiple times within a month if there's a remaining balance. The drink menu is extensive, and my partner and I used two vouchers to try four non-alcoholic cocktails, all of which were delightful.
The rooftop is cool and breezy in the evening, featuring a glass walkway perfect for photos. Compared to the Mahanakhon Skywalk, the Moon Bar attracts more Western visitors and offers a better atmosphere, with the added bonus of a view of the Mahanakhon building itself. I recommend arriving at the hotel lobby around 4:50 PM to secure a good spot, as it gets busy. If you're unsure of the location, simply navigate to the Banyan Tree Bangkok and ask the security staff for directions to the Moon Bar—they're very helpful!

Bangkok's Overrated Rooftop Bar Experience
Moon Bar, known for its prime location offering panoramic city views, seems to rely on its setting rather than the quality of its drinks. The bar has a minimum spend policy, with prices starting at 800 THB for a drink and totaling around 1200-1400 THB per person for two drinks including service and tax.
Our group of three tried three signature cocktails, each disappointing. The Amore Negroni barely resembled a classic Negroni, lacking flavor and alcohol content. The other two drinks tasted like juice with alcohol, lacking creativity, though they were visually appealing. The ice used was ordinary crushed ice, not the clear blocks expected at this price point. While the night view is stunning and the dining area service is friendly, it is slow, taking 20-30 minutes to settle the bill, likely due to the crowd. The service did not match the price level.
Additionally, there is a dress code; I was required to wear shoes provided by the bar as I was in sandals. Upon leaving, my shoes were mixed up, and the staff was inattentive, diminishing the overall experience.

Experience Bangkok's Banyan Tree Moon Bar Like a Star
To reach the Moon Bar at Banyan Tree Bangkok, take a taxi to the hotel lobby where a guide will direct you. If no one is available, feel free to ask for directions. Once you find the elevator, head straight to the 59th floor. For sunset views, arrive between 4-5 PM. Another busy period is from 6-8 PM, so if you arrive between 8-9 PM, you might find no available seats. We arrived at 8:30 PM and were told there were no seats, with at least an hour wait. We opted to have dinner and returned at 9:30 PM to find seats available.
Be aware of the minimum spend policy. Previously, there was no minimum spend, but now they ask if you're staying at the hotel. Hotel guests are given priority entry without needing to provide room details. If you're not staying at the hotel, you can enter if there are available seats, but there's a minimum spend of 800 THB per person. For our group of three, it was 2400 THB. After confirming, you pay upfront and receive a wristband. The 2400 THB can be used for any orders, with no change given if you spend less, and additional charges if you exceed it. With the wristband, you can find a seat and order via QR code at the bar. Note that a 7% service charge applies.
For the best photo spots, head to the stairs on one side. If you can't find it, ask the security or staff, showing them a picture if needed. The photo spot has bright lighting, so dress up for great shots. We went spontaneously and looked like we were on a special mission!
Important: Men should avoid wearing tank tops and flip-flops, as entry will be denied. Previously, long pants were required, but now men can wear knee-length shorts. Just avoid flip-flops and tank tops!

Bangkok's Most Beautiful Sunset | MoonBar
If you arrive in Bangkok in the afternoon, the first stop you must visit is the MoonBar for its stunning sunset and night views. The sunset truly understands our romantic desires. Located on the 59th floor of the Banyan Tree Bangkok (the exact address is in the last picture), the experience is priced at 800 Thai Baht per person, which can be exchanged for drinks.
I personally think it's quite a bargain, as you can enjoy a luxurious experience for a small price. Be sure to calculate the sunset time and arrive early to get a good spot.

Bangkok's Moon Bar
Moon Bar is a must-visit spot for many tourists in Bangkok, located on the top floor of the Banyan Tree Hotel.
It's recommended to queue around 5 PM, as you can catch the sunset after 5:30 PM. The bar has a minimum spend of 800 THB per person, which is charged upon entry and can be used towards food and drinks. However, any unused amount is non-refundable.
If two drinks don't cover the minimum spend, you'll need to order more and pay extra, plus a service charge. The place is quite crowded, so the service is average. The main attraction is the stunning view of Bangkok's city skyline, which is especially impressive as the city lights up at dusk. #Bangkok #BangkokTravel #MoonBar #MoonBarBangkok

Bangkok is such a fun place!
The last time I visited the Jellyfish Rooftop Bar, it was way too crowded.
Later, I discovered this place, which wasn't too crowded to take photos and was quite comfortable to sit in. It's relatively quiet, and the view is absolutely stunning. I really love it, my friends. This time, I went with a client, who also became a close friend.
So, it's important to find a local guide who makes you feel comfortable.
Location: Vertigo & Moon Bar. You can search on Google.

Bangkok | Dazzling Nightlife at Moon Bar
Located on the 56th floor of Banyan Tree Bangkok, Moon Bar offers a stunning view. You can ask the staff in the lobby for directions to the elevator. Besides the bar, there is also a restaurant on the same floor, both perfect for taking photos.
Hotel guests can take photos for free, while non-guests need to purchase a ticket (800 THB per person, redeemable for drinks). It is recommended to call ahead and reserve a spot by the edge (reservations are now necessary).
Popular photo spots may require waiting in line, but you can take pictures when it's less crowded. Operating hours are from 17:00 to 00:00, and it's a great place to watch the sunset and night view. Surprisingly, wearing flip-flops is allowed, as seen with other guests.

Capture Stunning Photos at Banyan Tree Bangkok's Moon Bar for Just 800 Baht
After comparing several sky bars in Bangkok, I found the Moon Bar on the 61st floor of Banyan Tree Bangkok to be the best. It was definitely worth the money spent, as I captured some of the best photos of my life.
~ Banyan Tree Bangkok Sky Bar ~
Transportation🚇: 800 meters from Lumphini Station on the MRT line
~ Ticket🎫: 800 Baht per person (redeemable for bar consumption)
~ Opening Hours⏱️: 17:00~0:00
~
1⃣ Enter through the hotel lobby, take the elevator to the 59th floor, pay 800 Baht per person at the front desk (payment via WeChat or Alipay is accepted), and receive a ticket. Then, take the stairs to the 61st floor to reach the sky bar.
2⃣ This sky bar is very popular, especially on weekends. It is recommended to arrive by 5 PM. I once arrived at 6 PM on a weekend and there were no seats available. Arriving early allows you to choose your seat and enjoy the stunning views of the daytime, sunset, and night.
3⃣ Scan the QR code on the table to view the menu, which includes both drinks and food. The ticket can be used to offset costs up to 800 Baht, with any excess requiring additional payment. There is a 10% service charge and a 7% consumption tax. If you're just there for photos, you can order two cocktails🍸, which are beautifully presented. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options are available, with non-alcoholic drinks being cheaper at 300~400 Baht. The 800 Baht ticket must be used in one go, and any unused portion cannot be carried over.
4⃣ The second photo spot is the most popular, with a light placed opposite the standing area for great lighting. If you're alone, staff will help take your photo. During busy times, photo-taking is limited to one minute per person, but you can queue again if needed.
~ Visit Bangkok on a good weather day to capture the breathtaking sunset and night views. If you like my sharing, please like, save, and follow me for more practical travel tips and beautiful travel experiences.

Vertigo Bar & Lounge
#thailandtrip
I've come here twice, mostly to listen to the music.. It's not too crowded, and I like the private atmosphere. The taste of the dish is average. Overall, I think I've tried around six dishes, all of which are okay. Though limited in scope, the food items go nicely with the wine and the nice atmosphere. Another site that's good for music lovers who don't have high expectations for their meal is this one. I would like to return because the staff is lovely.

Bangkok sky view
For the best view over the city of bangkok, i recommend vertigo rooftop as it offers good food and a breath taking panoramic view, especially at night time or sunset.
Their cocktails and beer are one the higher end price but makes sense when you get to sip it in this conditions.
I didn’t get the chance to try other rooftops but this one is worth a visit.
There is a minimum spend and dress code to access the rooftop.
