Wat Phra That Doi Phra Chan, a beautiful temple in Lampang

Wat Phra That Doi Phra Chan, a beautiful temple in Mae Tha District, Lampang Province.
There is a large Buddha statue on the mountaintop. It feels like you have flown to Japan to worship.
The temple is open from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM (closed every Wednesday).
On weekdays, you can drive up by yourself.
But I don't recommend it because there is very little parking and the way up is very narrow. I recommend taking the temple's car up instead. The fare is 20 baht, which is much more convenient.

Beauty of Tranquility @ Doi Pra Chan
In the peaceful Lampang province, Thailand, we found the stunning and serene temple Wat Pra That Doi Pra Chan.
This Buddhist temple, designed in Thai and Japanese architectural styles, located at the top of Doi Pra Chan mountain in Mae Tha, Lampang, offering visitors a breathtaking panoramic view from its elevated grounds.
One of the temple's highlights is a remarkable replica of the Great Buddha Daibutsu of Japan at the temple's highest point. In addition to the beautiful religious sculptures, pagodas, and buildings, there are many nice spots perfect for photography enthusiasts, making every corner memorable for pictures.
Accessing the temple can be done either via the Songthaew Shuttle Service or by the staircase, which is more difficult and challenging.
Our visit left us feeling blessed, having experienced a sense of peace and tranquility within the temple's sacred grounds.

Challenging 8,000 “Stairs to the SKY HIKE!”
This is by far and large one of my favorite temples in all of Thailand and most certainly in Chiang Mai.
This 14th century Buddhist temple and pilgrimage site, known locally as Wat Doi Suthep (and pronounced “Doy Soo-tep”) is located within Doi Suthep-Pui National Park, about 40 minutes outside of Chiang Mai. The stunning architecture you see in the photos are even more incredible when you visit this temple on the mountain. Be prepared to climb 10,000 stairs along gorgeous staircase leading up to the top of the mountain.
