📌 Wat Siri Sutho Kham Chanod, Bang Dung District, Udon Thani Province
Wat Pa Siri Sutho Kham Chanod or locals call it Wang Nakin Kham Chanod is an ancient legend that this sacred place is the palace of the Naga. People will have a lot of faith in it. They will come to worship and ask for blessings, ask for luck and ask for their work to prosper and be fulfilled.
When we arrive at the temple, there will be staff to advise on how to worship. We will first worship the Buddha statue in the blessing posture and buy a flower tray in the shape of a Naga. Then we will walk across to the island. There is a walkway connecting to the island in the middle of the water, which is Wang Nakin. You will see a beautiful view of the river and canals. In the area of Wang Nakin, there are Kham Chanod trees that look like coconut trees, areca trees, and palm trees that grow only in that area. After worshiping the Naga King Pu Sri Sutho and Mother Sri Pathumma Naga Ratchadevi, we went into the forest garden inside, which is very shady. On the way back, we have to pass a sacred well with water gushing all year round. We touched the water on our face and head for good luck.
Traveling by private car (rental car) is convenient. From Muang District, it takes about 1 hour to drive. The entrance road is well-built.
