#timetotravel We had a two-night stay in this historic hotel where US Presidents and famous artists have stayed during their visit in Portland, Oregon.
I loved the interior. It somehow transported my family and I in a different time. We also enjoyed the Stairwell Museum as it showcased photos of Portland's beginnings.
I really recommend to stay here.

The World's Largest Independent Bookstore
#timetotravel What an awesome place Powell's City of Books is. When I jokingly said to our relatives here, "Drop uncle and I off here and we'll close the store." We kinda did. Uncle and I went separately inside and ended up roaming and looking at books until closing time. We spent roughly 2 hours there and it was fun! The bookstore is huge with lots of sections or multi-colored zones. I noticed some books were sold cheaper here than on Amazon or even in Hong Kong's eslite. I bought a copy of Nonviolent Communication by Rosenberg (my first ever bought book! 😁) and it was the last copy. I even took home a free map of the bookstore and free bookmarks.
Would I go here again? Absolutely! There's even a cafe inside.

Portland Japanese Garden
#timetotravel There's something I learned when we visited the Portland Japanese Garden. My uncle said it was an act of goodwill by the American government after World War 2.
They didn't want Americans to fully hate the Japanese and instead have a cultural exchange by establishing Japanese gardens in USA. It was to learn from each other.
I was amazed by the thought of it and I'd really like to see more places like this. It was so peaceful here, a nice break from the city life.

The Pittock Mansion
It's really #timetotravel to Portland, Oregon and see for yourself the gorgeous Pittock Mansion. What's more is that it's a historical site because the founders of Portland lived here.
We saw their bedrooms and their belongings, along with the other rich families of Portland. It's also like a time machine as we saw how kitchens and bathrooms looked back then.

食燒味~超脆脆皮燒肉🐷😋
💋Address: 18 SE 82nd Ave, Portland, OR 97216
Big portion, pretty affordable prize. The noodle soups and dishes here are around $10-15. I really enjoy the roasted pork, the are incredibly good. I love the crispy skin and tender flesh. I feel I am eating potato chips when I bite on the crispy pork skins. And the large pieces of dark pork trotters are so moist, tender and flavorful, they are all melting in my mouth, The egg noodle we try today is thinner one, and it is smooth and tender. Will definately come back to try more other bbq dishes! 😚🍗🍖

The Chinese Garden in Portland
Location: Lansu Chinese Garden
Admission Fee: $14/adult, free admission for 5 years old and below
If you have been to Su Zhou in China, you will find this very familiar. If you have not been to China, here is the place you should go to see the Chinese architecture. This is a quiet and calm place in the huge city. It's a good place for photography. Also a good place to learn some Chinese history.
You have to give the tea house a try. They have the Chinese style tea such as Oolong tea, black tea, green tea here. There're also some authentic Chinese snacks you can get from the tea house. It's rather hard to find a peaceful place in the chaotic city, therefore you have to pay a visit here.
Where in Portland to Watch Sunset?
If you're a beginner in hiking like me, consider going to Mt Tabor Park in Portland, Oregon. It's a fairly short and easy hike within an hour. There are a few paths that are perfect for bikers too.
A Romantic Place in Portland
This is one of the places people visiting Portland should go to. If you love to take pictures, this is definitely the place you're looking for. It's perfect for pet owners too, you are allowed to bring your furry friends there. Personally, I spent 2 hours at this garden as it's really huge. Big point, now is the perfect time to visit if the weather is good. The beautiful roses are fully-bloomed now. Remember to smell the scent from the flowers. ❤️

This is a cute little tea spot with delicious pairings. You can choose between savory and sweet. I chose to get ochazuke with manju and genmaicha tea. The waitress was very good with recommendations. One drawback about this place is the size of the portions. This place is great for a nice snack but not a full on meal. It was nice after touring the gardens to relax with tea and take in the view. Reservations are highly recommended. Vaccinations are required for indoor seating at the moment.

fun place, had a great time. not too bad of an area for portland. lots a fun places nearby
beautiful scenery near city
if you are staying in Portland for vacation, this is a must see destination. it’s very cheap to get in and not far at all from the city! just a short drive from most hotels and locations in downtown. we went on a rainy day and still did not have any trouble with the location. there’s not mud or anything alike but we were prepared for such conditions. I suggest bringing an umbrella and looking at weather before you go if that’s something that’s important to you. there is also a lot of stairs in some areas and small hills so be prepared to walk on more than just flat ground. overall, it was a great way to spend a few hours of our day and not get too far away from where we were staying. #hiking #hiking #gardens
awesome falls close to city
Getting There - a bit of a drive but nothing drastic
Attractions - just sick water
We rented a car so we had a bit easier access to reach this location from our hotel in downtown Portland. however, it is no more than 30 minutes away so even an Uber could be a reasonable way to get here. well worth the view, I didn’t know there was also a hike you could do too though and do to the weather we decided not to. if you decide to go, and want to do the hike, make sure you are prepared for it! also if you go on a rainy day make sure to bring a wind breaker, poncho, and umbrella to stay as dry as possible when visiting this gorgeous waterfall.
Portland, Oregon
Set in Portland’s downtown National Landmark First National Bank building, built in 1916, Expensify’s new offices reflect the company’s signature “choose-your-own-adventure” work setting. Since Expensify does not own the building, the design accounts for both the grandeur of the existing interiors and the realities of the lease term.
.
The main goal was to balance the space needs of the clients and the historical importance of the building by referencing the historic details and proportions. The brass was the bridging detail for this connection between contemporary and historical and made a significant impact via two brass-clad, glass-enclosed work spaces which dominate the central void. There is additional scope in the “Gatsby” style break rooms where the same metal is used for backsplashes, unifying the public and private spaces.

Got a chance to visit Portland the most exciting part it’s a city in Oregon a tax free state in United States of America. Spent almost a limit on my credit card seeing red tags and good deals on most of my favorite brands. Saw one of the mural masterpiece of one of the famous mural artist Kelsey Montague and took a pose on it. #tripaway

Oregon is one of the most diverse states in the US. The scenery is ever changing and can range anywhere from massive waterfalls to peaceful lakes. The coast can be fun to explore but there is so much to see when you get inland. Crater Lake National Park is perhaps my favorite of these spots. It sits just outside of Eugene, Oregon. It was created around 7700 years ago when Mt. Mazama erupted, cremating the surrounding landscape.

Portland is one of the most liveable cities in the United States, because the climate is suitable for growing roses, known as the "City of Roses." From the happy smile of this family, we can see how satisfied they are in living in this city.
This city has a long history, whether it is the sluice on the Willamette River, the Pioneer Court in the city center, or the thick wall clock hanging from the roadside, highlighting the history of Portland.
The common vehicle in the city is the tram. The cartoon pattern of the carriage highlights the interesting side of Portland. The different modes of transportation are so natural and without any sense of contradiction.
Living in Portland, it is comfortable and natural, and you are yearning for it.
Mushroom Jun's American Wanderlust
USA, Oregon
Staying at the foot of Oregon's volcanic lake park for a few days, there are many very local experiences to participate.
biting a tooth 300 knives to reserve a fishing. Depart at 5 in the morning and row the river before the weather heats up. Large salmon seeds are used as bait, accompanied by lakes and mountains. In the rapids, fight a fish that is bigger than the one in Figure 1 and fight for a long time.
Eight hours of travel, it is also a lot of local fishing customs.
Mushroom Jun's America Travel
USA, Oregon
Among the many states in the United States, Oregon is not well known but full of fun, there are many national parks filled with fantasy landscapes, and Duty Free Paradise Portland.
The most important thing to miss is the volcanic lake. This is the deepest lake in the United States and the second in the world in North America. There is no pollution, the blue of the lake is dazzling. The best tourist season is at the beginning of June, the snow has not yet melted, and it is like a paradise in the world.
Driving in the forests of the volcanic lake national park, the sun shines through the straight trees into the windows. Walking along the lake, occasionally hitting squirrels, deer, and even black bears, in a flash, returning to nature.
I always thought that Portland was an industrial city. I didnt expect the tram stop at 5 am to be amazing. And hiking to the top of the mountain can really see the snowy mountains in the distance!!! Strongly recommend a doll museum hidden in the town, which contains a lot of strange puppets, some have experienced countless years. There is a huge statue of a strong man in the city center, and it feels inexplicable magic. If you want to go hiking, the Wild wood walk way next to you is a good choice! The smell of air in the forest is fresh and sweet, just in time for the fall, the hiking trail is covered with soft pine branches, and if you look carefully, there are many mushrooms hidden in it. If you have the strength, you must climb to the top of the mountain. The snow-capped mountains that are far away are very shocking.
Portland - The "City of Roses" on the West Coast!
Portland is a city in the northwestern United States and the most populous city in Oregon. It is also the third most populous city in the Pacific Northwest, after Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, Canada.
At the same time, Portland is also known as the "City of Roses". This is because Portland's climate is particularly suitable for growing roses. There are many rose gardens in the city, such as the International Rose Test Garden in Portland's Washington Park.
Trip to Portland 🇺🇸
It was a summer trip to Portland, Oregon with my partner. we found it to be a vibrant city filled with unique experiences, delicious food, and scenic spots.
We began our day at Powell's City of Books, the largest independent bookstore in the world. We loved getting lost among the stacks of new and used books, and we even picked up a couple of unique titles that we hadn't seen anywhere else.
📍 1005 W Burnside St, Portland, OR 97209
We headed to Stumptown Coffee Roasters. Their coffee is just as incredible as the hype suggests. I’d recommend trying their cold brew - it was smooth and refreshing, perfect for a warm Portland day.
📍128 SW 3rd Ave, Portland, OR 97204
We also explored Pine Street Market, a vibrant food hall filled with a variety of options. We particularly enjoyed the ramen at Marukin Ramen - the broth was rich and the noodles had just the right amount of chew. Prices vary by stall.
💰 $10-$15
📍 126 SW 2nd Ave, Portland, OR 97204
We also took a leisurely walk along the Tom McCall Waterfront Park. It's a beautiful spot to take in views of the Willamette River and the city skyline. If you're lucky, you might catch a local event or street performance 😍
📍Naito Pkwy, Portland, OR 97204
I’d suggest heading to Pok Pok for some mouthwatering Thai street food if you’re looking for a good spot for dinner. The fish sauce wings were phenomenal, and their Papaya Pok Pok salad was a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and spicy.
💰$20-$30 per person.
📍3226 SE Division St, Portland, OR 97202
We also visited the International Rose Test Garden 🪴 I was amazed by the variety of roses and the stunning views of the city and Mount Hood. It's a peaceful place to wander, take pictures, and enjoy the fragrance of thousands of roses. And the best part? It's free to visit!
📍400 SW Kingston Ave, Portland, OR 97205
We also explored the Pearl District, known for its chic boutiques, art galleries, and loft apartments. We stumbled upon a few local art galleries and a fantastic shop called Cargo, which sells an eclectic mix of global imports.
Last but not least, if you’re looking for somewhere for lunch, check out the Screen Door.
We visited Screen Door for some Southern comfort food. Their fried chicken and waffles were divine, and the mac and cheese is an absolute must-try.
📍1131 NW Couch St, Portland, OR 97209
💰$15-$25 per person
