The religious site "Tham Narai" has gone through prosperity and deterioration until it was restored as "Wat Khao Wong" in 1917 and developed into a model developed temple with outstanding achievements. Later, during the reign of King Narai the Great, when he left Wang Narai to govern Ayutthaya, he stayed at this cave. It was also a place of rest during the time of King Songtham. His Majesty came to pay homage to the Buddha's footprint. Currently, Wat Khao Wong (Tham Narai) is a meditation center for Saraburi Province and a meditation center in the lineage of Phra Thep Phra Ratchaphromyan (Luang Pho Ruesi Lingdam). The main principle of meditation is Maha Satipatthana Sutta, which accepts meditation guests throughout the year according to the rules and traditions of the center. It is also a source of rare plants such as Queen's Jasmine and Chanda Pha, as well as rare animals such as the red-whiskered bulbul and white squirrel, etc., in order to preserve them as a cultural and religious heritage of the nation. The atmosphere is surrounded by rice fields, very homely. What I love the most is the friendliness and the chicken rice porridge made with brown rice, which is incomparable, along with the delicious soft-boiled eggs. Next time, I will try the bakery!!
