We visited the Stone Forest (📍stone forest) in Kunming. It was absolutely delightful! This is a must-visit if you are in Kunming. 🚘 You can reach the park by bus or taxi. We arranged with the hotel reception for a driver to pick us up in the morning and take us back in the evening whenever we were ready to leave the park. This way, we were not restricted by time. It’s more expensive, but very convenient. We recommend this option if your budget allows. 🎟️ We recommend purchasing entrance tickets to the park in advance through an app. This will save you from waiting in line at the park. 🚙 Taxis or buses will only take you to the entrance of the reserve. The trails start 3 km further in. Regular cars are not allowed inside the reserve, so I recommend not being stingy and buying tickets for the electric car that takes visitors to the trails. 🌸 In March, cherry blossoms bloom in the park! It’s incredibly beautiful! Ladies, make sure to wear something nice! 👟 The park has comfortable pathways, but I still recommend wearing comfortable shoes. 👨👩👦 This park is suitable for walking with children, but they should be able to walk on their own. I’ve compiled a super comprehensive guide to avoid traps, so if you’re eager to go, read this first before deciding~ 🌡️ Climate: The "Spring City" is really bone-chilling cold in winter - In December, Kunming’s temperature ranges from 5-15℃, with a temperature difference of over 10℃ between morning and night. Wearing a down jacket in the morning and evening still makes you shiver, but a sweatshirt at noon feels too hot. You have to change clothes twice a day. - The air is extremely dry! Every morning I wake up with a sore throat, chapped lips, and nosebleeds are common. You must bring a humidifier, lip balm, and moisturizer. - Occasionally there’s light rain, and the damp cold is even harder to bear than in northern China.
