pork noodle restaurant 👍🏻😋
#timetotravel
I had a delightful dining experience at the Pork Noodle Restaurant in Surat Thani, Thailand, during my evening visit. This small and friendly restaurant, located in the city center, specializes in serving delicious pork noodles.
The restaurant may not be very spacious, but it exudes a cozy atmosphere. The owner was welcoming and accommodating, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. What caught my attention was the diverse clientele, with many university students frequenting the place.
I decided to try their signature pork noodles, and I must say, the flavors were exceptional. The combination of tender pork and flavorful broth made for a satisfying meal. To top it off, they offered complimentary drinking water, which was a nice touch. The best part was that the prices were reasonable, with my meal costing just 60 baht.
All in all, the Pork Noodle Restaurant provided a memorable dining experience, and I definitely plan to return for another delicious meal in the future.
Saphan Narit Park👍🏻
#timetotravel
Saphan Narit Park in Surat Thani is indeed a popular attraction. This riverside park comes alive at night with its bright lighting, creating a charming atmosphere.
Visitors can enjoy some simple fitness facilities, and the park is adorned with various plants, creating a natural and serene environment. Being conveniently located in the tourist area, it's an excellent place to take a leisurely post-dinner stroll and engage in pleasant conversations. Saphan Narit Park offers a lovely setting to relax and unwind by the river.
Night market Surat thani😋👍🏻
#timetotravel
Surat Thani's night market, situated in the city center, was a delightful discovery for me one evening. This bustling night market is a food lover's paradise, and it operates every day.
What struck me first was how clean and well-organized the market is. You can find an array of Thai delicacies, beverages, coffee, fresh fruit juices, and more. The market is well-lit, creating a lively and inviting atmosphere.
Being conveniently located in the heart of the tourist area, it's a perfect spot to grab dinner. You can purchase your evening meal here and then head over to the nearby seaside park to enjoy your food. This seems to be a popular choice among tourists, and I couldn't resist trying it myself.
Overall, Surat Thani's night market offers not only a delicious culinary adventure but also a vibrant and enjoyable evening experience. It's a great place to immerse yourself in the local food scene and enjoy the lively atmosphere.
wooden houses👍🏻suratthani
#timetotravel
While strolling through Surat Thani's city center in Thailand one afternoon, I stumbled upon two charming vintage wooden houses. These houses were incredibly beautiful and exuded a rich sense of history. Their vintage design was simply breathtaking, and they appeared to have been recently repainted, radiating a fresh and vibrant look. I was particularly enamored with the exquisite window designs. These wooden houses were two stories tall, and their exteriors alone were a sight to behold, perfect for photography and creating lasting memories. Unfortunately, I couldn't explore the interiors, but they remained a rare and captivating find.

Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Adventure at Angthong National Park
#samuiisland
Our day in Koh Samui has been a whirlwind of adventure and breathtaking sights. We indulged in mouthwatering seafood delights and embarked on an unforgettable journey to Angthong National Park by boat. From swimming to snorkeling and kayaking, we immersed ourselves in the wonders of the ocean.
Climbing 500 meters to the viewpoint tested our endurance, but the panoramic vista at the summit made it all worthwhile. Despite moments of exhaustion, the beauty surrounding us rejuvenated our spirits.
Koh Samui continues to enchant us with its natural splendor and exhilarating experiences, leaving us eager for more adventures ahead.
Conquering Koh Samui ⛰️
#weekendgetaways
Here's a challenge to everyone: conquer Koh Samui over a weekend. That is, to climb the area's highest point! You'll find this place in Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park, about an hour by speedboat, from Koh Samui. It's more than doable. Here's how (and why) you should do it:
Prebooking a tour online is an option. You're also good to go if you bargain at a roadside tour booth (what I always do in Thailand). They'll pick you up from your hotel and off you go to Nathon Pier.
At Mu Ko Ang Thong, if you have the grit and energy, go for the Pha Jun Jaras trail on Koh Wua Ta Lap. It's a steep, challenging, and rocky hike of about 30-45 minutes, covering 550m in distance. The viewpoint at the top is 620m above sea level - about 5 times Singapore's Bukit Timah. While it certainly is physically exhausting (75% of the group gave up and went back down along the way), it's doable, even in flip flops, like I did (though please wear proper shoes to be extra safe).
Your guide from the boat will follow you, so don't be afraid! There are also 3-4 rest points along the way. If hiking isn't your thing, stay on the gorgeous beach for a cooling swim. It's spotlessly clean with a beach bar and restaurant. Note that as this is a marine national park, water sports are usually not allowed.
Entry fee is 200THB (usually included in your tour price). This was the main highlight for me in Samui - exhilerating and beautiful experience, beats any of the islands I've been to in Phuket. So pack your sunscreen and sunglasses, and go conquer Samui!

White Sand! Blue Lagoon! Monkey! Bamboo Raft!
My girlfriend and I recently took a trip away from the main island of Ko Samui, and did a day tour to the outside islands and it was an unforgettable experience. We took a day trip to another island Ko Pha Ngan and also to Ang Thong National Marine Park, which has the Blue Lagoon (Emerald Lake) Both of which were absolutely stunning and should be protected at all costs.
We first started the trip to Pha Ngan and the views there were incredible. The beaches were white sand and the water was crystal clear. We were able to snorkel and see all the wild sea life swimming around the shallow water. We spent most of the time swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. Not to mention taking beautiful photos as there were many view points.
After that, we had our lunch and made our way to our final destination and little did I know, Ang thong would be one of the most unforgettable places I would visit. Ang Thong National Marine Park was even more beautiful than Ko Pha Ngan.
The islands were limestone and the water was a deep blue, and we were able to do bamboo rafting around the island through the caves and if you were daring you could even raft further into the ocean! What an amazing experience! We were able to see cavesand waterfalls, and hidden lagoons. After rafting, we entered the national park and were blown away by the view of the Blue Lagoon… words can’t describe what we saw. Not only that, as we were exploring even see a Dusky Leaf Monkey in the trees! This was my absolute favorite moment, especially knowing how rare it was to even see one and it was just sitting there watching us. After that, we came down from the park and relaxed at the beach and made our way home.
It was fun filled day and even though we were exhausted by the end, it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an adventurous, yet relaxing vacation.
Here are some tips for your trip:
Go during the dry season (November to April) for the best weather.
Bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses, water poof bag.
Please be respectful to the locals and the protection of the area.

Night market Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Awesome food market in Surat Thani
Surat Thani is not as well known as its neighboring island destinations such as Koh Samui or Phangan for a holiday but it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re a fan of Thai food! The daily night market with a temple in the middle is fantastic! Not the largest but every stall looks so tempting you want to try everything! Decorated by colourful flags all the way along the market, it’s a beautiful sight as well. If Surat Thani is along the way of your travels, I’d highly recommend a 1-2 day stopover.

A cool night market here has absolutely everything from my product to pork. Despite the fact that the province of Krabi is a Muslim province, there are a lot of fruits, a lot of sweets, very tasty, Sochi is quite cheap prices. You can choose any food for any budget. I didn’t really like it here, quite colorful food. Here you can find food from different nationalities. I advise you to visit if you are in Krabi.
