Shangqiu's own movie town - Dayu Spring and Autumn
Dayu Spring and Autumn Cultural Park uses traditional Chinese architectural craftsmanship, collects folk traditional artists, and follows the architectural style of the Republic of China, incorporating a large number of Western architectural presentation forms. Dayu Spring and Autumn Cultural Park takes it as its own responsibility to promote Chinese culture.
The park includes Dayu Academy, Chinese Martial Arts Hall, Film Museum, Wedding Hall, Yoga Garden, Cheongsam Assembly, Old Photo Gallery, Intangible Heritage Street, Long March Road, Qilin Pavilion, Four Sages Pavilion, Yucheng Island, Taiping Lake, Top Scholar Bridge, Begonia Ditch, Internet Celebrity Stage, etc. The completion of Dayu Spring and Autumn Cultural Park will be the urban landmark of Yucheng, the city's business card, the cultural living room of Yucheng, and the people's paradise of Yucheng.
Temple of Hua Mulan Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Everyone knows about Mulan, and visiting the Mulan Temple brings mixed feelings of joy and sorrow
The Mulan Temple, also known as the Mulan Shrine and the 'Filial and Heroic General Shrine', is located in Mulan Town, Yucheng County, Shangqiu City, the hometown of Mulan. It is a key tourist attraction and cultural relic protection unit in Henan Province. The Mulan Temple has existed since the Tang Dynasty and has been renovated in every dynasty. In 1992, the Yucheng County Government invested heavily in its renovation to preserve its history of over a thousand years and to continue to honor the heroic woman admired by the world. In 1999, it was designated as a patriotic education base by the Propaganda Department of the Henan Provincial Party Committee and is a must-visit spot for many tourists in Shangqiu. Every year, around Mulan's birthday on the eighth day of April, people from the bordering provinces of Henan, Shandong, Jiangsu, and Anhui come to the temple for trade and festivities. This is what attracted us to the Mulan Temple, but the site is still littered with garbage, miscellaneous items, and unused scaffolding; the cemetery gate is tightly closed, and the view through the bars reveals overgrown weeds. What's more puzzling is that the toilets in the temple are like dry toilets, with sewage flowing everywhere, making it difficult to enter. Having visited many major and minor attractions in twenty provinces over the past three years, this place's dirtiness, disorder, and poor condition are unique. In my opinion, this site is unworthy of the title of a key cultural relic protection unit in Henan Province, and it brings shame to the title of a patriotic education base. Moreover, it is disrespectful to the tourists from all over the world who come to pay homage to the heroic Mulan.
